I submitted a request to have Bitstar added to - http://www.shapeshift.ioThis service would allow for very quick Doge/LTC/BTC/Dark/Peer conversion in and out of Bitstar. No account/sign-up is needed. It would be interesting to hear the Bitstar devs thoughts on this service including an in-wallet version. Shapeshift.io contact info - https://twitter.com/ShapeShift_io - mail@shapeshift.iohttps://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=717973.0Edit- I did receive a reply from Shapeshift. Their response was - they are working hard to add cryptos they deem to be a priority.

Great idea. I will definitely contribute some BITS to it if needed. Heck, last time I gave away 50 BITS to 41 people just on twitter!

Dev, I think the OP needs updating a little: (mostly minor things) 1. For the top announcement about SuperNET & ATM, please link the official URL also on top : https://forum.thesupernet.org/index.php?topic=186.0 2. In the Coin Information section, the coin supply needs updating to (Currently 16.2m). 3. Same goes for the Extra Info section where it should say = Currently 16.2m in circulation 4. Wallets section should list the latest beta(still?) wallet also. Also mention the wallet versions to know which is which. 5. Exchanges section should list Crypto-Trade (Vote) and link it with https://crypto-trade.com/voting. (might win in 9 hours time from now!) 6. BitStar in the News section has 2 links which are broken / merged and needs fixing. Thanks, updated

Perhaps this will help clarify things: https://forum.thesupernet.org/index.php?topic=179.msg1303#msg1303Re: T3CLtd and the ATM project « Reply #7 on: Today at 04:16:31 pm » Quote from: Cassius on October 11, 2014, 07:39:56 pm This is great to hear, welcome! How are things in Cyprus right now? Thank you all. Cyprus is still smarting somewhat from the deposit 'haircut' bail-in last year and Danny Brewster's bungling of bitcoin's introduction to the local market but, while our auditors have asked us to speak to the Cyprus Central Bank about our project to better inform them of the technology, the fact we are not seeking to operate the same, rather unusual, business model as that proposed by Neo & Bee, the discussions are for constructively promoting the cryptocurrency industry, not to gain the regulatory 'legitimacy' N&B sought. So awesome! Loving the price rise also. This has been a long time coming. Everyone here is responsible for the advancement of bits. Core member of supernet, amazing wallet, atms, future wallet additions, well handled fud, this has become my fav coin. To think its only going to get better. Congrats to everyone. No one in crypto deserves this more than the bitstar community!

Staking begins 24 hours after coins are deposited.

How does the staking work, you just leave your wallet open or you don't even need to leave it open? When I open the wallet every 2 or 3 weeks, I get for some reason "mined" transactions, I have no idea where that comes from, I get random ammounts. As these incoming transactions appear, the "Balance" amount gets subtractred from the "Stake amount"... so nothing changes, the Balance amount resets itself to the original amount.. so I dont get this at all.

Proof-of-Stake coins generally work like this:
You deposit coins into your wallet and, in BITS case, 24 hours later they are mature enough to begin earning interest (staking)
But they will not start earning interest (staking) until the wallet is unlocked. You must enter your wallet password (passphrase) and leave it open for the staking process to begin, at which time an amount will be transferred automatically from 'balance' to 'stake', showing the amount that will earn the interest in that particular staking transaction.
This amount of 'stake' is reserved for a period of time, meaning it cannot be sent elsewhere while it is reserved for the interest earning process to complete.
In the 'transactions' section you will see new amounts showing as 'mined', but if they show a '?' it means that, while they were generated they were not accepted by the network, whereas other amounts will show with a red/orange/yellow clock-face icon to show the number of confirmations they are receiving, with the final stage being a green tick symbol to show the amount is fully confirmed and accepted by the network.

Another thing to mention, waiting 24 hours doesn't you'll get stake straight away, it means your are eligible to start trying to get the reward, actual stake time also depends on the "weight" of the network (ie other peoples coins and there coin age). If you wait longer to unlock or stake, once it does stake you get proportionally more coins

You should encrypt your wallet, close it, reopen, leave it until it is synchronized and then unlock to start staking.
