With the market being volatile, predicting the cryptocurrency price is really one of the most difficult tasks.

Let’s consider the Monero (XMR) price prediction from major distinct sources, which will give us a fairer idea:

1 LongForecast
It is a forecasting agency which is specialized to predict the financial market, which has even predicted more than 100 cryptocurrencies. LongForecast predicts that Monero might be in the range of $554-$638 in April 2020 and go up to $810- $945 by December 2020.

2 Trading Beasts
Trading beasts display that Monero can reach around $150 within a year which means it can roughly reach about $200 by 2020.

3 Crypto Ground
Crypto ground is a cryptocurrency prediction website which states that Monero might reach $118.02 by the end of 2019. In 5 years, XMR has a good possibility that it might reach $496.82, might even reach the $500 mark if the market is calm enough.

4 Profit Confidential
Profit Confidential shares the prediction data based on factors like the current market trends, the technology, and the team. They predicted that Monero might soar up to $350 by the end of 2019.

Guys, can anyone suggest me an easy way to download the light version of XMR wallet? After downloading the official wallet from mymonero it requires to download a ton of data which will take hours. Any suggestions are welcome.
I use monerujo (android) on my phone and the cli (linux command line) on my 'puter.  I may do things a little differently than most people.  To create a new wallet, I first use a separate utility to generate a seed from custom entropy, and then I create the wallet using that seed.  Which means that I have to use the restore from seed function.  In the linux cli, the command is ./monero-wallet-cli --restore-deterministic-wallet
If I don't specify a restore height, the client will scan the entire blockchain, which is about 73 GB.
A wallet only needs to by restored from the block where it first received funds.  Scanning the whole blockchain is a waste of time.
I can restore a brand new wallet at the current block.  To restore a used wallet, one has to know or at least be able to estimate the block height of its earliest transaction, or else scan the entire blockchain.

As for the "daemon" (the blockchain), just use a remote node.

In about a month, this 70GB will reduce into 25GB.

For people who start fresh on 14.1.0 and sync from scratch, will the blockchain be pruned by default, or is it going to be necessary to use the prune-blockchain option when starting the daemon for the first time?

Yeah, I'm wondering what's the matter. I mean, we are quite used to Monero doing its own thing for a while now, although it would be nice to see some swells happening when the entire market seems to be heaving. Not concerned though, except it does feel weird to see Dash doing so well with much less going on with them (I'm ignoring all those Latin America supposed adoption).

We plan to make it the default for new users that choose "Simple mode (bootstrap mode)" (which is the default mode by the way).

Monero is on the verge of losing its crown as the number one privacy coin. Dash has somehow found its way back to the top and Monero needs to up it's game. Even if it's in the unconventional markets, XMR needs be used as a currency

Dash ledger is not opaque. It uses Bitcoin code so it cant be.     Monero is not loosing anything.

Monero is my favorite project. No one understands the value of Monero. It will be understood in the future how precious privacy is.Are you being asked questions about monero privacy? In fact, privacy is a very important feature.Everybody don't want something open.So always monero.
