Are you guys really doing TA on charts that have a 1-2 BTC daily volume to try to find good news? Anything to fit your delusional narrative I guess.

It's just convenient to use that pair since the site does the charting for you. You get a virtually identical chart using the prices from XMR/BTC and DASH/BTC and dividing.

Except for the part where xmr lost like 40% of its value over the course of a few days and still has yet to recover. This xmr pump is over, smart people made their money. I will buy back in at another 50% drop to get ready for the next pump in a few months.

How does that have anything to do with your original statement, to which smooth was responding?

Although I don't make comments like cheap coins or to the moon I'm still here.  Been here through both periods of 0.001  I don't know about my buddy explorer, haven't seen his node up lately.  I have been very busy at work for many days but today is slow.  Slow enough to play poker on the intertubes with a cat on my lap.

# of Moneroj sold = 0
# of Moneroj acquired = relatively small amount

Time for a bite to eat and do a little work  Smiley

Edit: I just realized the ambiguous time frame.
Sold = this year
Acquired = on this most recent downturn

I bought this year on the way up in the 100s and 200s with some thought of selling higher but I don't seem to have learned how to do that.  I also bought a little in the 300s with some leftover earmarked btc.  Acquired and bought are two different words.

Still alive, Node reborn  Grin.  Started working a lot about the time XMR started to fall apart, and neglected the computer somewhat  Tongue  With substantially reduced at home hours, I'm back to lurk mode for the time being.  Still hodling, buying here and there.  Missed the last bottom, not sure if I want another chance at it   Lips sealed

DASH was just added to BTC-e. Pretty disappointing.  Angry

It is a little bit disappointing, particularly as it's an entry into Chinese markets.

But really I don't see it any more disappointing than the situation concerning the current Facebook generation or the Western media curtain. As the revolution revolves so too do a myriad of concurrently evolving challenges and omnipotent antagonists.

At the end of the day, you can take a horse to water but you can't make it drink.

How so? Look on the bright side, this probably opens the door for Monero as well in the foreseeable future.

Unquestionably.

The disappointment doesn't necessarily equate to any Monero loss.

Truth be told, there is something deeply depressing about the entire Dash zeitgeist that is reminiscent of the North Korean population. Curiously idiotic, and somehow enslaved by a kind of indifferent ignorance. It's followed by a sympathetic hope that one day the userbase will find the intellectual capacity to engage in a greater liberty... yet it never ceases to fail.

Been here since the start of June 2014.
YTD:
Bought None
Sold None
HODLing (always said XMR was a long term hold)

Lots of cash to direct into crypto in the next few months though. Planning to steadily buy BTC up to the halvening, and see how the XMR price responds.
Cheers, Q

I feel your pain. Do you watch television? I don't, but occasionally when I somehow can't avoid it (birthday parties for example, wtf) I am truly amazed how an average human being can passively stare to such brainless crap full of commercials, for multiple hours a day. And apparently pay (!) for the privilege.

Monero currently still requires an intrinsic need (nerds aside) to be willing to understand the fundamental difference.

That wall (~30k) at 220k seems to be a short, either protecting his current position or just waiting until the prices reaches 220k. See:

I got a email from coinbase saying they are offering instant purchases so I may do the same. Does mean I have to run out to the bank though. :|

Shit more coinbase data mining maybe I won't bother.

Anyone know if I give up my state the next demand is my license number/ssn and dna sample?

Or is there a state I can choose where they will not try to get more info? Montana maybe? I think they have pretty strong libertarian laws, as far as any state does.

You got me excited  Cheesy but alas no  Sad

You can change >600 Moneroj to btc but still not btc to Monero.  For a moment it seemed possible but no.  There are a few coins that were just added that can't actually be bought yet with btc.

Hmm that's odd, didn't show a limit when I posted. However, it does now. I am sure it will be fine within 24 hours.

Ditto on both points (20 years I haven't owned a TV). Seems to be an addiction that once you lose it, it looks silly in retrospect just like any other addiction.
