I wouldn't mind Moneristo, but:
Well.... 'risto'
You gotta admit.. there is a little poetry in that. It's a limerick... but that's poetry, right?

I think nowadays is the good time for xmr to wake up from sleeping. If the market will go on like this, some money should go from bitcoin to old altcoin projects that are more known and considered as more strong and stable.

As you can presume there are not that many which truly are strong and stable

I'm not sure about that. If you take out the second syllable you end up with: mo-rans

I saw this yesterday in WO, but thought it was just one boring dark market seizure or whatever illegal website seized. Today saw it again on Monero subeddit and was surprised they used Monero wallets for people to vote. First time Monero being used to anonymously vote. EDIT: OK I realised this voting is dumb since you can vote as manytimes as you want. But it is a good scam.

Kinda surreal being substantially $ above dash and LTC, with Bcash in the crosshairs. The Amazing Monero will displace them all. Look at that transaction data: MONTHLY TRANSACTION COUNT Monero Bitcoin Ratio Oct 2020 (est) 533,952 9,418,377 5.67% Sep 2020 396,854 9,495,331 4.18% Aug 2020 381,555 9,793,583 3.90% Jul 2020 331,181 10,158,131 3.26% Jun 2020 340,895 9,192,440 3.71% May 2020 400,871 9,092,682 4.41% Apr 2020 365,875 8,702,021 4.20% Mar 2020 303,291 8,904,203 3.41% Feb 2020 231,953 9,439,548 2.46% Jan 2020 257,942 9,612,337 2.68% Dec 2019 216,720 9,430,057 2.30% Nov 2019 212,716 9,243,776 2.30%

Wow.. dat tx graph doh... BCASH has no real reason to exist in the presence of Monero aside from having been an airdrop, which is only an advantage for some. I honestly think Monero is the closest thing to the elusive "next bitcoin" as we get. And I think that is basically meaningless. Monero's use will keep growing, and that will drive it's price up. I do think, however, it is most likely to remain a niche asset. At least for quite a while. It's just not going to see the mainstream adoption that Bitcoin does. Bitcoin = Spotify/Netflix Monero = BitTorrent I think that kind of puts it in perspective, though it is not a perfect analogy since I still believe Bitcoin is very cypherpunk. But it's going to get integrated into mainstream Fintech. Whereas Monero will remain a tool of the technical elite. Monero will always stay one step ahead in privacy and will continue cement itself as the privacy leader. I will enjoy watching the maximalists struggle with understanding why Monero ends up blowing their narrative, and I will love it even more when they end up accepting that it has a place...

Yup just lost the 0.01 battle for now - BTC popped over $12K.
Looks like this is going to be ugly Well, we just lost that unnecessary extra zero again. I would be very happy if we can hang on over that level for now... But I will grant you it could go either way. Bitcoin just took a chunk out of alts and gained in dominance, which is kind of inevitable in this bullish phase - and it's been carnage in altland, but hey, Monero often slingshots up after a BTC run steadies. Let's see if it can weather this storm. I don't like it, but my magic chart has low 0.0080's to low -90s until early December. If it goes below that, it just says 'you have no maps of this area'. Stupid magic chart anyway. Well to be honest i expected that for next next week, so i think there will be healing for a weeks time, but as i said. If BTC is gaining dominance above €11k we could revisit low 0,008's -maybe even sub 0,008's in November so i just adjusted my buy orders If using of Monero will increase with the pace as it did so far, specially in October until the network upgrade, then I simply dont see so ow numbers to happen. In last few days we saw how bad can bugs be in protocol upgrades. Monero ecosystem grow a lot. Even that bug was patched in half day that did not magically update all Monero ecosystem immediately. Some exchanges still dont work. Or at least did not yesterday. Monero had luck to be small and was able to have these updates twice a year. Now is getting bigger and bigger and that will continue maybe even faster now. The sync bug did not affect nodes that are online continuously, which is standard procedure for basically every service and exchange. Furthermore, the Monero network continued to operate normally. To reiterate, the following nodes got affected: - A new node that syncs from scratch. - Existing node that is currently offline and would like to sync soon. Furthermore, the bug was fixed swiftly and a new release (that included the fix) was made available within a day. Additionally, people tend to forget that exchanges and services typically impose a temporary suspension of withdrawals and/or services around a network upgrade as precautionary measure. I personally feel that people misunderstand the gravity of the recent sync bug and resultantly are making a mountain out of a molehill. Agreed, i also think that the sstem is working properly and on top of a minor bug there is made hysteria to some extend that i do not get So, we already visited the 0,008's before November, so i guess we will see sub 0,008's in the next 10 days, adjust your buy orders

Look at that transaction data:
We will finally go above Mays numbers. I still dont understand why May was so special. Nothing unusual beside last weeks of lock downs in Europe and USA. Last few months had few good weeks and few bad. October had only good weeks beside the protocol upgrade two days. With a pace like this we might not see less then 20k transaction a day in 2021.

Oh, and by the way... This is really becoming my favorite mental rabbit hole... the idea that Monero could effectively become a privacy side chain of Bitcoin.
Monero is the strong front runner for privacy. Even better than the lightning network. If we can get that ball rolling it stands the chance to be a bit of a black swan event in my opinion. It would be a solid use case for a separate but cryptographically joined block chain to Bitcoin. It's the next killer app. Maybe?
I think you put it even better. The only thing that's even better is a 1:1 BTC peg with moneros features... but I am not sure that is possible.
