Well... just to nitpick  That graph shows it oscillating up ABOVE what the model predicts which looks more like 2k.  I would guess that oscillation would be slightly lesser...  but who knows?

I'm assuming most of us here have heard about the Marathon Blockchain mining pool now censoring Bitcoin transactions for FATCA compliance. That really made the maxis' heads spin. All of a sudden maxis on twitter were talking about ways to get fungibility into BTC, how to fight against mining censorship, etc.

A lot of people predicted this. Already at time when Monero was created. Two days ago it first time come to reality.

It will get worse when 51% of Bitcoin pools will start censoring transactions.  Some may say it will never happen, some might say it will take ages for that to happen. But that is the time it will really go worse.

I missed to see start yesterday but watched the end of MoneroTopia and she latter said this was her first professional fight, but she was doing different marshal arts as an amateur for last 7 years. Also representing country. Her next fight should be in 4 months time. She lost after 3 rounds by referee decision.  And by being MoneroFighter her fan base will at least double. She is aware and happy about it.

I give less than 1% that $1000 Monero will not happen this or next year. Even if next month China and USA ban Monero it will happen since that is only a bit more then double the price from right now. It would have to happen some catastrophic event that is not yet priced in.

For all Bitcoin fans, apparently first real atomic swap between Bitcoin and Monero happened yesterday.

Apparently it was made by Comit team. Farcaster team is considering their April report not that far to make it happen. Thorchain team will not do a classic atomic swaps. It seems that Comit team, after it did it first on testnet, keep grinding and does not plan to let anyone else to get ahead.

I give less than 1% that $1000 Monero will not happen this or next year. Even if next month China and USA ban Monero it will happen since that is only a bit more then double the price from right now. It would have to happen some catastrophic event that is not yet priced in.

So you see a high profile Monero ban as a springboard for the price?

I have not settled on this issue yet...  I could also see the price suffering quite a bit in the case this happens in the short term.

This is one of those moments where something INCREDIBLY important just happened and just about no one knows.

^  Yup.  Yuuuge progress.  Something tells me there's gonna be lots of movement in BTC in the coming years resulting in less BTC holders but nobody knows where the coins going.  Meanwhile localmonero type sites and other boot leg exchanges with no KYC are booming.  Do the math.

In the past Monero had its own bull run a couple of times and was rather calm while the whole market was in a bull run. It could be the sleeping giant whose turn it is when the whole market cools down. If Monero then pumps the whole story would even make sense because that is what everybody expected now. That could turn into a real Monero bull run soon.

And a good piece of advice I can give itt is to stay in the side lines for now.  A lot of dip buying will start now but how do we really know it’s all over?
