I kinda can't wait to see the bus get a little bigger... wonder when that will happen?

This is tricky to answer since everything can be changed when triptych happen at next hard fork. We will have to wait some more time before all will be decided and cast predictions while considering actual numbers. I dont believe Monero could have such growth of transactions to get blocks full before the protocol upgrade will happen.

LOL. Never listen to me!

Today "bus" start going bigger.

From block 2353326 to block 2353452, blocks were full or close to full.  That was for over 4 hours and 40 minutes.

https://old.reddit.com/r/Monero/comments/n4ipfb/if_you_ever_wondered_how_dynamic_block_size_works/

As we can see change was not huge. It grows very slow.

We are still growing... All of crypto is starting to feel like it is expanding now... I need to do a little research.

It's fun to see them peering out of the back window. Wink

260k followers twitter account is saying only way further is vertical. Such vertical breakout would probably push price way over $1000. Wonder how long we will have to wait to see it.

I don't see why 8-12k is out of the question this cycle.  I shouldn't be disappointed if we stall at $2500-4k, but I might be. A bit.  $1000 is going to arrive in a flash, and disappear in the rearview as fast.  Where is johnallen to tell us $700 will be the top  Grin

Target price: $10k. Not selling a mo till it hits it.  Cool

Seeing that doge is about to dethrone BTC the world went full retard apparently and $10k/Mo does not look that far away now. Hodl friends. Good days are ahead.

(inner voice: it is about to crash hard)

I think cAPSLOCK mentioned a possible giant cup and was hoping for the handle to appear.   If it was you sir, well spotted - it seems to have come off just as predicted (or hoped for).

When Monero decides to awaken, it does it rather wonderfully...  Barolo time indeed.

Even a blind squirrel finds a nut now and then kurious. Wink  And the handle was a little on the quick side.. but it did seem to happen.

I would like to point out that this is the BTCXMR chart too.  We have taken a fine beating on that pair, and who knows?  I think BTC has been consolodating for the next (big) leg for a while, and that COULD throw the alts a little rough waters.

On the other hand I think Doge is leading the way (wen Wownero moon? lol such invisidawg) for alts and as Bitcoin heats up and becomes the plaything for institutions and nation states, the alt world is likely to heat up even if the reason is irrational.  Joe Public is still believing the "next bitcoin" narrative.  And it has become expensive to transact in BTC. And even though Doge pumping is bad for crypto in general (because it is BOUND to crash back down I think and it makes the whole thing look like the loony casino much of it is) there are an actual handfull of alts that WILL find their place, and I do not need to explain why Monero is near (at?) the top of that list.

The sector often gets compared to the doc com bubble, and that is PARTLY true.  But the maxis have a good argument that Bitcoin is not a sector, and "there can only be one".  I think they are partly right.  There will not be a "basket" of crypto assets in the end.  I think the development is going to happen on Liquid, and sidechains like it.  And it will overshadow everything the current alts was trying to do.

But (broken record cAPS here).  Bitcoin will never have a fungible base layer.  That tradeoff will never happen.

So... Wink

So now what happens?  That is the fun question!!!

Well... and not to be a bucket of cold water, but the RSI is way overheated on pretty much ALL the long term time frames (6hr - 3d) with only the weekly (and up) having some room to run.

This is the 12h chart.  I think it's not impossible to see more UP, but i think a correction from here is more likley...  and we could even see a neeto C&H here if it does something like this:

I think my biggest question is what is driving this rally?  We are seeing some fairly good volume on this run, and it is counter, or ahead of almost all other alts.

It feels like there is some fairly big buying going on...  I do not assume a big sale went on at WHM? Wink  It is hard to see what REAL volume is doing with all the goofy wash trading at the shady casinos exchanges.

Who is buying?

I love Monero! I’ve held a long time.

I hope it goes to 20k.

Just this cycle I’m expecting around 700-1000.

What’s people’s expectation for this cycle?

OK.  I am gonna post something I might have to delete because it is so crazy.

To preface I have grown weary of the sort of alt-coiner style of attack that the new Monero community has taken on.  Sounds like Roger Ver to me a little.  Hating on the Maxis... accusing blockstream of hijacking bitcoin.  Shuning the NgU culture.   Even getting ETHtard style flippening narratives up and running a little. Of course some of the points are valid.  But I miss the monero community that respected Bitcoin.

Ok... well, whatever.

That said.. I feel like I am sensing something.. some weird groundswell.  It's among the maxis.  It is starting to feel like old school bitcoinners are starting to wake up and realize that for the time being Monero is really the project that best fulfills the goals ofthe Bitcoin whitepaper.  (OK SEE?!?!?!  I sound like fucking Craig Wright all of a sudden).

I feel like there are a bunch of hardcore Maxis in a room right now all hugging and crying as they come clean with each other that they use Monero on White House Market, and would never use Bitcoin for that, and they have realized that Monero has to exist, and Bitcoin is never going to be able to achieve what it has.

Soon everyone is going to realize that Monero matters, and it is too late to stop it, just like Bitcoin.   Not only is there room for it up at the top with Bitcoin, but it HAS to be there for the world to even keep working.

Yeah...  I am losing my mind.

Yeah...  I am losing my mind.

I'm assuming most of us here have heard about the Marathon Blockchain mining pool now censoring Bitcoin transactions for FATCA compliance. That really made the maxis' heads spin. All of a sudden maxis on twitter were talking about ways to get fungibility into BTC, how to fight against mining censorship, etc.

I believe it could get much worse. Nassim Taleb explains the game theoretical reasoning: https://medium.com/incerto/the-most-intolerant-wins-the-dictatorship-of-the-small-minority-3f1f83ce4e15#.z5ry4bucq

Just bought monero. I'm so gonna regret this. (that I didn't buy more)

No seriously, do you believe in the S2F model? It promises more than $15,000 by the end of 2022.
