gigavps,

When are you supposed to receive BFL ASICs?

As soon as BFL gives them to me.....  Tongue

Realistically, I know as much as everyone else. Chips are supposed to be packaged today, on to somewhere else tomorrow to be put onto the PCB boards, final testing needs to happen with the chips on the boards, final testing of the MCU, tweaking of the MCU, assembly, more testing, etc, etc, etc. Board have to go out to the developers including Conman, Kano and Luke to make sure mining software works with these things.

BFL has stated that shipping would commence next week if all goes well. This seems optimistic to me, and I know BFL has had a long list of delays in the past, but we are on the downhill portion of this ride.

Hope that helps.

Best,
James

So, if things go as good as they say, you should got it runnning before two weeks from today, am I right?

Another question, don't you thinnk that 0.25BTC per paid upgrade is too expensive? Are you getting in mind the current BTC value? Why don't you fix its price in USD or EUR? In this way its value will be more stable and not as expensive as it is right now.

gigavps,

When are you supposed to receive BFL ASICs?

johnlu https://forums.butterflylabs.com/announcements/692-bfl-asic-status-2.html ~ keep an eye on this for updates

Thanks Otoh :-)

Also note how "a lot of people" have claimed, yet no(!) numbers have been given out at all, how many of the outstanding shares were claimed and how many shareholders did claim so far.

As I said before, I will be releasing these numbers soon.

Yeah, wait that he pulls those out from his ass too.

James,

Why not allow us to trade between people who cannot or will not be able to send you the information to allow them to claim their shares?  You know who they are and can verify it through their BTC payout address.  Allow them to contact you and say I am unwilling or unable to make my claim, this is my payout address and allow me to sell my shares to someone who has made the proper claims.  I know this would be a huge undertaking for you but these people are mad and it would go a long way to proving you are in it for more then yourself.  We all know after the 9 month you get to keep the hardware and will be making BTC hand over fist... let these people out that want out and prove you back BTC and what it stands for, anonymity for those who want it!  I wouldn't mind spending a few BTC to upgrade to more terramining shares with even though some of them don't!  The blockchain will prove I paid so and so for the shares he/she has, at an agreed upon price, either here or in private email with you, and I claim the shares.  You keep your good name and we all get what we want.  I am tired of people in this thread that keep saying you have cheated or lied or what ever... end this by being the better person you are.

And if your don't have any shares why the hell do you keep trolling this thread?  Let us deal with whatever will become of giga/terramining and just go on!

Having gone through the claims process for my shares & upgrading them all to Tera, I too would be interested in bidding on any shares still outstanding from those that are on nefario's final list of shareholders & can't or don't wish to claim them for themselves - this seems to be the fairest way to resolve the mess that GLBSE's abrupt failure left, unless there are many more shares listed than actually exist (ie fake claims from nefario) which I doubt because he seems more hopeless than criminal & it hasn't happened with other issuers as far as I'm aware.

It will be interesting to see the figures when Giga releases them on the % of shares claimed/unclaimed & whether any have been attempted to be claimed by more than one person or anything else odd about those remaining, anyone with shares valued at under $100 (perhaps $1,000 even) should just be offered an easy cash out from Giga's own pocket at a generous valuation imo as it's unrealistic for them to go through the claims procedure if they're outside the US & no tax or legal authority is going to care about such small sums when care has been taken over the majority - this would count as just some petty cash disbursements to save an otherwise blocked outcome for these people.

For those of you that have outstanding shares... Have you considered... NOT having someone pay you to NOT let them claim your bonds? You wouldn't have to involve Giga in anyway, as long as you made sure that the account that was NOT transferred was NOT done so between trusted parties. I mean, sure it would be hard for Giga to know whether or not the person actually claiming owns the bonds, but why take the risk?

I don't consider anything that does NOT pay me.
But maybe you meant get paid to NOT claim? Where do I sign for that?

1.5 BTC for each of my 4 shares to my address (available upon request) and I will sign any paper digitally, physically and/or with a shoe on my head that I will never ever claim any of these shares.

https://www.coinlend.org <-- automated lending at various exchanges.
https://www.bitfinex.com <-- Trade BTC for other currencies and vice versa.

No No... I'm saying do NOT have someone pay you bitcoins and don't let them claim your bonds and keep them for themselves.

BFL ASIC update: When is the bulk of first 75 wafers will be delivered to BFL?

Soon. The first 5k chips will be arriving at the assembly house on Thursday, the second set about a week or week and a half after that, and the then rest of the chips another week or week and a half after that. That's the current timeline, and as usual, subject to change
