I noticed when I paid out the share counts in the "Since Reset" column changed [they were reduced significantly].  Earlier, I posted in the forums that my stale rate was up to about 0.9%, but I just went and looked and the total count in my my "Since Reset" column is much lower than it was earlier ["Total Ever" and "This Round" look correct], and based on those numbers, I am seeing a stale rate of 0.49%.  Why did the numbers drop?

I am running poclbm.exe right now which doesn't track the counts for accepted and rejected.  I prefer Phoenix, but it has some rather devastating defects in it at the moment and so I am not using it.

Can you please look into what causes the column to change values [other than increase] without having pressed reset or reset all?

EDIT: I sent this message in as a support message.  I have noticed that the values in that column change [up would be normal if going up at the same rate as the other columns] somewhat randomly such that I can't determine any meaningful statistic from the data in this column?  How is it being calculated and can you please fix it so that it really does show the values since "last reset"?

Thank you.

The Since Reset column has been buggy since I made the change to remove old shares from the log (to speed up stat calculations and not require infinite hard drive space).

I'm going to be having a short (< 1 minute) restart on the server this weekend to update pushpool.  The update will reduce overall load on the MySQL database, and it will include a fix to the reset column so it won't be resetting the counts.

Thank you sir!  When I first saw it, I thought my mind was going.  I kept checking and it seemed fine, but then ... the numbers were low again.  I shouldn't just assume that I am crazy even if it is a safe assumption Smiley

I'd pay for guaranteed uptime ... if it's down you pay me out anyway.

Is that an option ... getting pretty tired of these pools crashing and hanging my miners.

That's not all that unlucky for a pool this size.  Stick with it and it will balance out on other days.  Fair weather friends tend to lose big jumping in and out of smaller pools [and this pool is growing which will reduce the variance a bit more].

Eleuthria,
BTCGuild has been working freaking awesome for me.  I am a deepbit convert after their shoddy uptimes these past few days.  I have been running at least one worker on your pool for a while, and its never went down.  Keep up the good work!

Having some trouble...

I set up one of my miners to btcguild just fine.  I tried setting up two subsequent miners, but both had the same problem.  "Trouble communicating with RPC Server".  I tried inputing the settings multiple times, verified that everything was correct (host = btcguild.com, etc).  I don't understand what the problem could be... I'm using guiminer by the way.

The first one is still chugging along just fine, but I can't get anything from the other two.  It's just trouble communicating every time.

Any ideas?

This shouldn't affect anything but are you using the latest guiminer? It already has btc guild set up.

I must not be, I'll give that a try and see if I have any better luck.  Thanks!

Well, for whatever reason, with the new guiminer, it worked perfect.  Thanks for the suggestion.  Wink

Could the favicon change from the icon that is used by the forums?  I keep getting confused hopping between tabs...  Tongue

Do we need to restart the miners (poclbm) after the outage or will they just recover on their own?
