I don't get why not more people mine here. Second most profitable pool and you would be supporting the good guys instead of incompetent and greedy chinese miners.
http://organofcorti.blogspot.de/2015/09/september-13th-2015-mining-pool.html
I get that people like PPS but longterm they get more BTC at ckpool than on F2Pool or Antpool.

Maybe it is the UI? But  smart miners shouldn't care about that.

Publicity, knowledge, etc. People are Lazy.

People just google a pool and point it there or maybe they don't they just go with what the seller of their miner tell them. For instance Bitmain heavily push people into using Antpool since they can continue making money of the miner they build without spending a single extra dime.

They don't think 1-3% more is worth bothering or they don't even know they can get more. They get misled by AntPool saying 0% fee. So they think its the best. They don't understand no tx fee reward is quite significant and will be more and more as the block reward halves.

If everyone came to know of Kano/CK's pool, then it would surely get much more hashrate, but perhaps not before it get more hashrate first. Its not particularly interesting for people when you tell them its possible they won't get a payout for one week. Small pool mean variance and most people unconsciously flock to the bigger group. Basic survival impulse.

Maybe Kano can take up a collection for marketing, I'd surely donate. If all 175 miners on Kano chipped in .1 or so and Kano puts that to marketing, banner ads on BTC sites and maybe some press. I bet we can pickup 5-10 Ph. Especially since he can show the stats to back it up, look at the all time stats!!! Nothing beats real numbers to backup your marketing. With a 12-15Ph poll, the variance would be pretty stable and if the luck continues on this road, everyone would do better then Ant or F2.

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

OK, so this is the second best pool to mine? Whick one is better?

My problem is that at antpool you get payed every day and somehow that feels better for me?

But, I will give a second try and when I move to my new location soon I will connect all my miners,
which is about 25Ths at the moment to CKpool and we'll see at the at the end of the month wich one is most profitable...

And the GUI, I like it, makes me thik of the old days when we had DOS, ow hated Windows 3.1 in the start, and 95, and 98 and.........

Well the stats say bitminter has been a bit better last 26 weeks but they just got 2 orphans this week so that will drop and Kano will be on top over 26 weeks. If you look at the link above, Kano is the best by far over 4 and 13 weeks. I did a 30 day compare with slush during the month of no fees and sent same hash to slush and Kano. Kano beat slush by about 10%. Just saying....

I started once mining at slush, but they are really bad in my opinion.

If there were more blocks solved at Kano ckpool (i.e. more hash pointed at the pool) then you would be paid daily here, too.  Or more than once per day, pending block confirms.

With other words, it's in our all best interest if whe increase the Hasrate at CKpool?

Agree, I have all mine at Kano. We rally only need like 5ph to be paid daily or more but 5ph would pretty much seal the deal.

Not really. The more hash rate at the pool, the LESS you get paid.
About 2PH or under is perfectly fine.

Who cares about getting paid daily if it's more than it would be at any other place?  Roll Eyes

Not really.

If the pool solves more blocks, you get paid MORE; more quantity and more frequency.  There's a break point where too many miners will result in you getting paid less quantity, but 2PH is not that point.  I should do the math, but there will be several "maximum" number of users / hash rate combinations that result in maximum payouts to pool participants.

My next rig should be delivered and online tomorrow. Not much in a single S5, but it helps.

Anyone have any dead S3 boards? Heat sink on one was being stubborn during removal and...well, I need a couple of the 470uF capacitors and a new LM75A thermal sensor.  Embarrassed

No, there is no clear point where the higher hash rate would be noticeably detrimental.

Obviously as the hash rate goes up, the number of rewards you get increases, but the amount per rewards decreases.
They have an expected net zero effect on total rewards.

The only certain affect of a higher hash rate is an average slower block change time for miners, due to more miner connections, however that overall affect is very small with ckpool.

As we know, the main pool server is able to handle over 5PHs without any trouble as we saw back in January.

The ckpool software is able to process work and block changes very fast, certainly faster than any pool that isn't doing SPV mining, and provably faster than the pools that do zero txn verified blocks, so the effect of a higher hash rate isn't really relevant when compared to most other pools.

Payout 374422 sent
9569af2a212dd930726f157a80ff5d993615958e8885636bfa6f15f425b9451a
and confirmed
CKDB restart coming up in a minute.
As usual for a ckdb restart, no ckpool restart involved so miners will not be affected.

Visual change on the web site is that on the shifts page, you'll now see each shift PPS reward information.
As mentioned before, shifts below the red line (which there's now a link at the top to jump down to it) have received all their rewards.
Shifts above the red line can get more rewards, but of course as time progresses to the next block, more shifts above the red line fall outside the range of the next payout.
Random statistics as usual Smiley

Edit: completed.

Hi, on "User Shift Reward Performance", why i can't see  most of my miners?
I only can see "all", and from yesterday ".ams5*", only yesterday ".ams3*" too, but not today. My .px3 or .amu3 are unaviable...

Played with: USB RedFury - BlackArrows Prospero X1/X3 - Butterfly Monarch- Spondoolies SP20E - Avalon 6 - Antminer U3/S3/S3+/C1/S5/S7 Batches 3-7-8 - Sfards SF100 - Innosilicon A2 Terminator - Alcheminer 96/256 - KNC Titan - Etherum Rigs

Hmm looks like it's a bug in the worker matching for the graph data.
I'll look into it a bit later and post once it's fixed.
CKDB restart coming up in a minute to fix this.
As usual for a ckdb restart, no ckpool restart involved so miners will not be affected.

Basically it was just not showing graph lines for any data that didn't have a value in the last shift.
Fixed when the restart completes (in less than 15 minutes)

Anyone curious Smiley
