I've added a second domain name that is a complete duplicate of kano.is in all respects
It's at the top of the first post, but I'm posting it here also for everyone to know.

For all access to the kano.is pool you can also use the name kano.space everywhere
For email, web, https web, mining, anywhere you see kano.is you can also use kano.space
This means there's effectively a domain name backup of kano.space in case anything ever went wrong with the kano.is domain name

Pool: https://kano.is - low 0.5% fee PPLNS 3 Days - Most reliable Solo with ONLY 0.5% fee   Bitcointalk thread: Forum
Discord support invite at https://kano.is/ Majority developer of the ckpool code - k for kano
The ONLY active original developer of cgminer. Original master git: https://github.com/kanoi/cgminer

Excellent, thanks, man.

Payouts are sent manually by Kano some time after the solved block receives 99 confirmations, which is when the reward is paid by the network for the solved block.

64958606246a2e64a1722385a97cd99b4d7ac5a647f83c5d23f72cb37496de4e
and confirmed already (4 minutes later)

... was asleep when it came due ... and then this morning woke up and ... we found a block 2 minutes later ... 42% Smiley
While doing the payout I wrote yet another check to the payout processing - this time checking bitcoind itself - so delayed me some hours working on that.

No worries Smiley
It's "money" and of course sometimes people get 'edgy' about it.

I almost always plan to stay awake if the payout is due up to about 1am or 2am (though I am sometimes awake when it's due later)
This one came due around 4am (and I think I calculated it would be about 5 or 6am at 10minute blocks) so I didn't stay up for it.

Can I asked what the check for payout processing means? Just never heard that before and wondered what it meant.

Thanks

I have a sizeable number of checks and balances I do, when I do a payout (and many of those checks I do at other times also)
i.e. to make sure the BTC all goes where it should, and that the results of the steps I do for the payout are correct
I'm not one of those fools who incorrectly believes that code is always correct, I run various different checks using different methods to verify things are all OK

Edit: and of course these checks would show up anomalies if someone successfully hacked into the servers.

This is why I point my rig here, regardless of the current pool luck.  Hard working character like you are priceless.  Thanks for your time and dedication. I wish the karma pay it forward for you when time is fit.

I second that. I am very thankful for all of Kano's hard work and effort in and outside his pool. I wish I could sit him down and learn half of what he knows.

Hey all, new to posting but been a lurker for a while. Mining for only a few months so very late in the game, wish I would of started this back in 2013 when I was reading up on it.

I am mining on Antpool and CK's solo pool with my Ant S1's (cheap electric is why and they are cheap) but I would like to connect to Kano's CKPool but for some reason my Ants just wont mine on this pool. I have the latest firmware/cgminer from Bitmain I also tried the below but it still doesn't want to connect. Any ideas?

-----------------
If you haven't done an update like this before (or undid the change), run the
following commands:
 cd /usr/bin/
 mv cgminer cgminer.original
 wget http://kano.is/AntS1/cgminer-ants1-4.9.1c-e6ad32a
 chmod +x cgminer-ants1-4.9.1c-e6ad32a
 ln -s cgminer-ants1-4.9.1c-e6ad32a cgminer

Thanks for any tips/advice.

Michael.
