Got another S7 on the way, think I'll put it on this pool along with the S5 in the screen shot below.

That bad boy would be a block at almost twice current difficulty.

 Cool Grin

Awesome!!

3rd block I've hit! (that I'm aware of at least)

And to think, I almost made a pit stop on ck's pool before switching over from slush. Was thinking about going at it for 24 hours or so. It's all good though, I'm happy to have found a block for the pool, and I wouldn't necessarily have found one on ck's pool. (right?)

Yep, a block found in the time frame of one work item has, currently, a 1 in 79billion/X chance of producing a block during that time frame with any other work item any where else.

Of course you could have found many more on solo or none.
Yep it's random with a bit of poisson distributed luck thrown in Smiley

tl;dr;
X ~= hashrate * Y / 2^32;
Here Y <= 30

U2 is pretty old - I use one for most ckdb/pool code testing I run at home.
Mine works fine all the time, never had a problem with it.
Might just be getting old?
... of course I use linux also Smiley

it's a new one  baught "new" ...it's perhaps my computer?

Are you using Windows? If so, it might be turning the usb port off, to save power.

yes Windows...
And  this morning all is ok...
And so it goes ...few days ok...and then for few hours or few days impossible to mine...and suddently it works.
Could you explain me what " it might be turning the usb port off, to save power."means?
And what can I do to turn usb port on?
Because each time it does not work cgminer does not detect the U2

Thanks

You're welcome.  I'll take it down.

Not sure if you saw this comment from J4bberwock:  He has something ready to go...

Decided to "make a thing" to power my S7s Grin. Hope some of you will appreciate this!

2X 2000w server PSUs sharing the load of the 3 S7s. Will shortly be replacing the PSUs with the 2500w versions since I'm actually pulling 4400w DC from them right now, which is 200w over their rating on each.

I've adjusted the voltage output to 12.6v on the PSUs.

Sweet any plans to sell your creation? hows the over volting working for you do you notice any substantial hashing gains?

if he is not, I've this breakout board that does exactly the same thing:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1178099.0

-load sharing
-voltage adjust (11.3v to 13.0v / 11.7v to 13.7v)
-optional sideplates for easier mounting of the fans.

Finksy will sell them soon for the North America market, in the mean time, I'm taking care of the orders.

wish I could afford some S7's but definitely wrong time of year for extravagant purchases Embarrassed I'll have to stick to my 10 x S1's. The amount of heat they give out is nice though as that floor of the house is toasty Grin although I'm sure they're eating way more juice then they're paying for (but luckily that's free ATM Roll Eyes)

I just noticed on the pool stats page there was this icon next to CKPool in the top left. I'm guessing these are colour codes to indicate some kind of status (as there is also a red one But any ideas to what they are indicating? And was there some kind of blip about 5mins ago?

They represent ckdb's state vs ckpool.
The pool runs in 2 very definite parts, and ckdb reports the state of it's connection with ckpool, using the colours up the top left.

Explained here:
