As mentioned before, the RUU node went down.
That was 16:43:46+00 UTC
I've still not heard back from them, OK they're off the list of server suppliers to ever use again ( edis.at )
I redirected RUU to DE

Do you plan to setup RU node at another hosting?

Thx.

EDIT #3:  Found your address, CK, thanks to another pool member.  Have a decent bottle of wine on me and thanks for all you and Kano have done and continue to do for the pool.
Thanks man. I'm an alcoholic coder so it's just what the doctor ordered. I'll be sure to stay on the ballmer peak.

haha - this Ballmer peak seems to apply to many other tech and scientific disciplines.  Its about applying a slight amount of imagination to a rigidly defined discipline.  Otherwise called innovation via step change since the boundaries and the shackles have been loosened............

Ah I forgot all about explaining what happened with this!

Firstly, the DE node is now all stable.
Very nice numbers Smiley
Code:
1.05PH/s  93.8 SPS  70 users  378 workers

'Tuning' some system settings has resolved it's problems.
In the process, I also upgraded it to double everything so it's now quite a good (more than necessary) remote node as far as power goes.

12 hours after the RUU node died, I finally got a reply back from them and they'd 'fixed' it (including shutting it down ... why? I've no idea)
So I'm reticent of pointing anyone back at it.
12 hours is, well, unbelievable IMO.

Someone else has given a lead for another provider in RUU that I'll look into within the next day.
Lack of much sleep over the last 2 days has me not wanting to make decisions about such things when I'm tired Tongue
I'll look into it in the morning (it's 8:55pm here now)

Kano Can you compare my asic tubes with the other ones we got here?

I find it kinda Odd that my old tubes Are the ones with the lowest invalids of all the miners i got.

Old stuff must be good Grin
The port for asictubes goes through a proxy which sanitises the crap that comes out of those tubes. It may seem that you have low invalids but that's because the proxy has removed all their crap. I don't even know if you can monitor them internally to see what the local invalid reported rate is but it will be higher than what you see on the pool.

Thanks for the info Ck  Smiley

My Antminer S5 seems to drop other board with these DDOSes and needs a reboot to get that board back online. Is it normal for Antminer S5 (sorry if this is a wrong place to ask)?

I had problems similar with two of my S5.  They would completely stop hashing and drop off the network just about every time there was a DDOS.  I updated to the latest firmware and they've been chugging along about a week now with no issues.  *knock on wood*

Use hosting. j/k...

Just be sure and give it a proper PSU with all the power connections.

AFAIK, the usual pool settings should work.

Got mine at 575 MH w/ 30% fan speed to try to cut down on the noise... Other than that, you should be GTG.

Yeah the earlier problems were all resolved with remote nodes with the system settings fix.

However a new one appeared that was rather more problematic so I had to take the DE node down.

Not sure how long that will be.
I've redirected all the DNS back to the main node until it's sorted out.
