The pool software here is much easier on my miners. They never lock up and need a power cycle.
It's nice not to have to worry about them locking up.

The network tries to produce one block per 10 minutes. It does this by automatically adjusting how difficult it is to produce blocks.

I noticed when I reboot an s7 it comes back up but seems to restart cgminer after about 30 seconds.
I wonder if anyone has observed this.

I like that the default worker page is sorted by hashrate.
I can look at the bottom of the list and see under performing miners.
I just saw one s7 low on the stack,
and one of the boards was running 20C, s/b 45C.
Reboot and all fixed.
Had been running 8 days untouched.

Learning Point --5Nd--

For this discussion, disregard the second negative spike.

My understanding WAS that if you achieve 5Nd and if I have all of your miners shut down for an hour, I would just have to hash at full capacity to make up that lost hashing hour to achieve a full 5Nd.  NOT TRUE.  This hour will decrease my reward until I achieve another full 5Nd period/cycle.

 The Workers-Shift Reward Performance seemingly demonstrates this: I was down for 1 hour and will have to go through the 5Nd period/cycle to get that decreased hashrate removed from my block payout. On the last bock my payout was less than usual.

Let me know if my THEORY is correct/incorrect.

I didn't send hashes for an hour - when will those hashes I didn't send get paid?

Kano - Any probs with the de. server at the moment? I'm in EU and usually get a LOT faster ping to the de. than main server but its been lagging behind when I checked a little earlier.
Mining not affected, Just curious.

Are the startum connections different for the various servers ? If yes, were can I find them ? I am connected to stratum.kano.is:3333 but since I'm in EU I guess I can connect to the DE server if these are different.

SG node seems to be down. All my rigs are now pointed to US.
Can anyone confirm this? DDOS = Block Party?

Major network connection problems from Asia to the USA

The problem seems to be a major connection somewhere leaving asia heading to the USA.
Both SG and JP can't see the main pool in LasVegas and my monitoring node in LA can only randomly see SG or JP.
I can connect to all the nodes so it's some general internet network problem that no doubt a lot of people are jumping up and down about.

The mtr's below show where it is (run twice - once with names and once with numbers)
From SG node to LasVegas:

Unfortunately there's no one to report the problem to ... but again, not doubt, there's people somewhere related to that "asianet" connection trying to fix it.

DE is de.kano.is for the DNS name
so e.g. de.kano.is:3333
