Amazing how I've been on this pool since under 2ph. Glad to see others giving the Chinese pools the middle finger also.

Can I win a Avalon with 5GHs?
From the opening post on this thread "Be a miner here with more than 300GHs - and less than 250THs..." This means that I can never win the Avalon with my Ante U2 ...

I was not on the net much over the weekend.
I checked my email first thing this AM and all of the block found emails for the 24 hours made me a very happy guy!

Getting intermittent connection to the website, but pool address/port seems ok, maybe a DDOS on port 80?

I don't have problems with connection to the website.
Hashrate is currently over 15 PHs.

Getting intermittent connection to the website, but pool address/port seems ok, maybe a DDOS on port 80? Not noticing any hiccups either on the site or with my miners (and our pool's hashrate hasn't budged). Possible there are just intermittent connectivity issues with your path through the internet.

All mine are still at kano.is. We should probably start adding which pool location your miners have lost connection to since kano has multiple pool server locations.

None of my miners failed over here, but the web was down for about 25 minutes.

I've tested the connection from 2 different locations, so, it was really a website failure, but everything's fine now

I'm happy with kano for a home hobby miner. I tried egligius and what a dump that was. I'm doing better than 2x here compared to that pool. Once I plug my other two S3 in I will try slush and do a side by side comparison. If someone out there has a small setup like a S1-S5 try kano.
On the other hand the other guy talking about ebay has some bad advice. You would be foolish to buy a S3 off ebay for $100. After shipping, after power supply, after miner and after power costs you stand very little chance of making anything but noise. S3 as Jan / 2016 is only worth a bit more than a power supply.

Yeah, s3 is only worth if you get free heat from it while earning the higher pay at this current pool luck. They are quiet and make nice space heaters and at this pay rate, still worth it if you already have them. Not worth to buy now.

Been there. Done that. I run an S2 (my first machine) and, at present, 6 S3's. I don't pay for power. I'm getting around 3.8T. I ran month-long comparisons between Slush and here. You have to look at the per-block reward when making that kind of comparison, or you're comparing apples and oranges. My per-block rewards here, once I reach 5nd, are more than double those of Slush. That (reaching maximum score rate) can take a couple of days here, and it definitely takes a couple of days at Slush. S3s are "pumping my crude" right now, and will until I can move them up to S7s. Stay here, IMHO.

To infinity and beyond...on two 741s and one of only 3...nope, make that 4...full nodes in Hawaii...on <30A. (I have other gear on the Hoth ice planet)

Haha, love the CRUDE analogy. It's a money loser until Crude prices are 200-300% rate like Kanos. Haha

I'm REALLY new to this world.. Just got my hands on a Antminer S2, and the person I got it from said this was the best pool to be with, so here I am... Just wondering why the site is showing two very different numbers for hashing speed:
Hash Rate:942.20/548.78GHs
Thanks,
