thanks wmabern. guess I don't have enough posts yet
Click on the users name (left side of post) and when you look through the user profile info, there is a link near the bottom that says send the person a personal message. Thanks. I stand corrected. I now also remember getting PM's with that warning message on it.

just to make I am understanding the payments correctly.... the 3 blocks from yesterday that paid today will also be for 5 days total? not quite getting the 5n deal. Thanks
5n is used to average your hash payments. When I added an S9, it jumped 12-15 TH/s, but is slowly ramping up. Maybe checking out this graph with only 'worker 3' on will help. See how there are spikes with an average? That's how it applies - as an average - to steady the ride.

You'll need to visit the alt coin section of the forum for questions and answers about that.

Well well look at that, looks like people started coming back as soon as they saw all the green stuff coming our way! Hahaha
yeah but how many are bringing back poor old s9 gear. the gear that killed off our luck. Once again if you can not upgrade your s9s. please leave them at f2pool or antpool. my s9s all mine at f2pool my avalon 721s mine here. Do you just ignore how many s9v1 have found blocks lately? Not to mention I found two with mine on cksolo. It's just Variance😉 Maybe Kano should run another report by miner version. See how it's improved;) BR

CDF[Erl] 0.992506 ... I'm not convinced it's variance ...
Edit: the main point being, yes they've found blocks ... that's been the case since they started mining. The problem being how many blocks they've found.

Well we can never know as most of them jumped ship. So they could have never had a chance to redeem themselves. That's partly why the pool suffered such a dry spell imo. But hard to say definetivly. I'd love for you to run a report of blocks found over the last 4-5 months and by what version cgminer or bmminer. BR

Well you can rest easy now then because the two s9s i had shipped to me will not be going to any pool now at all. .bitmain screwed up and wrote down that the contents of the package contained HASH BO so I got a notice from fedex saying that customs and the dea popped my shipment and confiscated it thinking it contained 10 kilos of freaking hashish. And I'm sure I will never see a dime of the money I paid for them either. nore would in ever spend a dime with bitmain again now.
It's kind of hard to believe that fedex would confiscate them just because it was named hash board.

I'd love for you to run a report of blocks found over the last 4-5 months and by what version cgminer or bmminer. BR Luck isn't expected to redeem itself. This is something that I've mentioned a number of times but will repeat again. The expectation is always 100% ... but what is expected to be 100%? When luck 'goes bad', there is no expectation for it 'go good' to reverse that run of 'bad luck' The expectation is still that each future block will be 100% What this results in is a gradual approach to 100% overall luck, like an curve approaching 100% but stretching out to infinity. If luck for 100 blocks was 90% and then you add a whole bunch of 100% blocks, you keep approaching closer to 100% - that's what's expected. What actually happens? Well that's random and can only be seen in hindsight. -- Statistics simply requires more data points (a larger sample) to provide a more reliable analysis of the data. ... and using less data points to make a decision is how one can fudge the data to get the answer they want rather than the correct answer.

It's just if s9v1 has a real issue then how do we justify pointing it at any pool. As Phil suggests we know something is wrong so let's put the screws to f2pool. I don't think that is right at all. Where my machines run I cannot upgrade to s9v2 as they will def overheat. I need full control of frequencies when it goes north of 80 deg f. Not trying to rock the boat. BR

I agree. Im not trying to bring up old stuff. It's just after a set amount of shares we should "expect" but not guaranteed to get a set amount of blocks. Was just curious if the numbers improved for s9v1 since the pool went so far in red. BR

Where my machines run I cannot upgrade to s9v2 as they will def overheat. I need full control of frequencies when it goes north of 80 deg f. Not trying to rock the boat. BR Well I have to keep them down locked so manual settings are my only choice. If you think they screw f2pool you could point them at antpool. Although to many people they are the same pool or have the same people backing them. This is hard to explain but I will give my best shot. I used to host a lot of 1 t.b. Dragon miners with li in China They worked pretty well pointed to f2 pool or to antpool . They were terrible point to Kano or ck solo. I know they altered code on dragon miner. I also know it seems that an effort was made to harm kanos pool by altering cgminer for years . I could not mine a few altered cgmining devices well with Kano. The tubes needed correct or special port to mine here. It boils down to Kano giving us the fees and antpool f2pool keeping the fees. Or segwit. But this is a ramble

It's kind of hard to believe that fedex would confiscate them just because it was named hash board. From what there saying its customs that put the hold on it and its now just in some extra hold but it didn't say it contained hash "boards" and they abbreviated it So it was saying contents contained HASH BO Tho I know thats prob for hash boards. which is still weird that they would even put anything on the bill of lading saying hash any even hash boards. Being they were full assembled s9's IM sure its going to get straightened out eventually esp once they actually open the box and snoop threw it they are going to see its not even anything that could hide much of anything inside one of the miners too easily. Im still ticked tho. But not bugging as bad as when fedex was making it sound like it was either not going to arrive at all or be held up for a long time.

They are a b****h of a company. #ihateFedEx I hope you get them through. I can tell you that I currently have a package from last April that is held in a facility and another from December. It's only FedEx with international. My packages haven't been delivered and they are charging me "holding fees." I hope you get your packages quickly and you may want to consider options for expediting ... so you can point them to the best bitcoin mining pool.
