I am thinking about moving 1-3 S9s over to Kano Pool from F2Pool. F2Pool offers tiny bits of free alternative currencies that really add up over time. They recently stopped giving out free LiteCoin, which was the most profitable. Their customer services has also gotten worse. To top it all off, the last three days have shown huge dips in service during the same hours. I don't have a web link to post my images at, so can't post my screen grabs showing these cuts in service. The past three days have looked identical. My miners show dead workers during this time and fall over to backup pools. This isn't tolerable.
So, I am weighing the pros and cons of changing pools. What are the benefits, if any, to Kano Pool?
Thank you.

The benefits are numerous...but I would strongly suggest sitting down with a suitable adult beverage, and reading through the last dozen or so pages of this thread. I will advise in advance that altcoins are "non grata" in these parts. You won't see any premiums, bonuses, etc. here. Just plain old, hard-scrabble, transparent and honest BTC mining. I've been here almost two years. I won't go anywhere else.

To infinity and beyond...on two 741s and one of only 3...nope, make that 4...full nodes in Hawaii...on <30A. (I have other gear on the Hoth ice planet)

The simple answer to your question is: lower fees here. Those altcoins don't add up to much ... really ... they don't. The fees on FUPool add up to a LOT! The difference here is variance - which means sometimes much higher rewards, and sometimes lower rewards. But in the long run, it means total higher rewards here. Since that variance exists, it means I can have a MUCH lower fee and that's why you expect to get more in the long run.

Thank you for the replies. I am looking at this page, which shows blocks hit on Kano: https://kano.is/index.php?k=pblocks. If I do a bit of rough math in my head, it appears that the pool hits an average of 2 blocks per day with a payout of about .0001 BTC per TH/s per block. With about 38 TH/s that would come to approximately .0038 BTC per block or .0076 BTC per day, assuming 2 blocks per day? Is my math close or am I way off? Thanks!

Block time here is no different here than any other pool. Expected luck is always 100%. At current difficulty, good for another day or so, 38TH/s should generate about 0.0089304 BTC a day. One thing about mining here is tx fees are also divvied up among the miners. M

Grrrr,
Tested the great evil empires sales page to see if they had relented and were allowing bitcoin for purchase of their S9 miner.
Nope, they only offer the "other" coin. Not litecoin either.
Which is rude, as they list the amounts accepted in three different crypto coins, bitcoin, the "other" coin, and litecoin.
Then when you get to the payment section from which there is no retreat you only get the "other" coin as a payment option.
So I have yet another order on my orders page that will remain forever unpaid.
I was wondering why their S9s were remaining unsold for so long.
Now I know.

Ok, I just pointed 3 S9s and an S3 at Kano pool! Now let's get some blocks! EDIT: Well, 2.3 S9s. I already have one hashboard sent off to Bitmain Warranty in Colorado for repair and now after switching to this pool, another in the same S9 kicked the bucket.
