Well a transaction with say 50 inputs - roughly a month worth - would be about 9K bytes

btc.com says at the moment https://btc.com/
Current best transaction fees 0.00134 BTC/KB = 130 sat/byte

So 9K would be 0.00134 * 9 = 0.01206 BTC or about $70

If instead you paid 13 sat/byte it would be 0.001206 BTC or about $7 and most likely get through in the next day or so.

If fees were low (transaction less often, so blocks not always full) then the 13 sat/byte would often get through in the next hour or so.
In that case you could even put it lower and be pretty sure it would get confirmed in a day or so.

It's all about planning ahead Smiley

Currently I have my mining payout sent to a coinbase acct. Approx once a month I plan to send the btc to my trezor. When I go to coinbase and send to my trezor wallet coinbase doesn't offer network fee options (fee= low, normal, high). The network fee is set when I send. It doesn't seem like the fee changes with the amount entered to send, it appears to be a minimal per transaction fee. Once I make the transfer it happens right away. When I send from the Trezor it lets me select sending network fee options (fee= low, normal, high).

What is the best process if mining on KanoPool to get btc my trezor? Should I have my mining payouts sent directly to a trezor address or continue to use coinbase or similar site to gather before transferring to trezor?

Does anyone know how much BTC per THs per day for now? According to several BTC profit calculators, it should be about 0.0017.

        1th =   0.0001731
      10th =  0.0017310
    100th =  0.0173100
  1000th =  0.1731000
 10000th = 1.7310000

I show it here also:
http://tradebtc.net/bitcalc.php
Edit: in case it wasn't obvious, you have to press enter (or click on 'Calculate' at the bottom) to get it to fill out the data on the page Smiley

Be aware that some of the sites get it wrong.

It's to do with what a 1Diff share is - it's not 00000000FFFFFFFF..... that some sites use in the calculation.
It's 00000000FFFF00000000000.....
... so after about 5 decimal places they are wrong if they use the wrong value.

Edit2: also note, that number is the 100% PPS value - i.e. ignores Txn fees.

can anyone advise here or on PM
my latest S9 just lost a board in other words it was working fine for about 24 hours then i made a psu change and it just stoped hashing. two interesting details, one, the miner detects the board but no its not hashing at all GH/S(RT) shows 0000, two, if i connect that particular board by itself it does hash, but only by itself.

any input or advice will be greatly apreciated

i tried diferent psu
and i tried changing resetting all settings
same result

Sounds like a hardware issue. Since it's clearly not the PSU or the board to controller cable...

1) Shut it down for about 30-60 min , then reboot it and see if all 3 boards come up. S9's are quirky and sometimes just giving them a short rest (allowing them to cool I think) can solve an issue like this.

2) Replace the primary controller board with one from a working S9 - if all three boards come up, you have your problem.

You can get replacement controller boards from BitMain for $60 + S&H and they are cheaper and faster than sending the machine in for warranty service. We keep a couple dozen around here (I've got 84 S9's) and a replacement solves these sorts of issues about 60% of the time.

If it's not the controller send in just the bad hash board for repair and let the unit continue to run at 66%. We never bother with warranty repair, we just send them into BitMainWarranty and pay for the repair no matter if the unit is 1 week or 1 year old. They will turn it around pretty quick.

Not sure where you are, but never ever allow the machine to run for any length of time above about 93 or 94 degrees ambient. 34C in take air is our hard/fast max or we shut the machines down. At 35C, like clockwork, we start loosing boards. Make sure you have clean power coming into the PSU.

Kano; just a thought, could the problem have been a batch 1 S9?   These were an issue last year.
There are still some S9v1s on the pool but obviously no where near as many as before.
But yes, the S9v1 stats still have a CDF[Erl] over 0.99
In the last 3 months (27-Jul to 26-Oct) they've submitted just over 8 Blocks worth of shares but only found 5 blocks.
Yep they continue to suck, but the luck in general over the last 3 months has been below expected for all miners as you can see in the monthly table.

How do we know if we have an S9v1?
auto tune is good. The older ones that allow for freq are s9v1. I moved mine last winter and only had Avalon here. I posted with philipma1957 a few days ago. Because I felt rentals were killing the pool. I am on a cell phone so I am using this account

Ah OK, all my s9's are auto tune.

I am working on how to upgrade my 13.5 with 14TH.
I am working on bmminer and setting of the machine...

again excuse my ignorance but can anyone explain how the transaction fees work?

Well a transaction with say 50 inputs - roughly a month worth - would be about 9K bytes

btc.com says at the moment https://btc.com/
Current best transaction fees 0.00134 BTC/KB = 130 sat/byte

So 9K would be 0.00134 * 9 = 0.01206 BTC or about $70

If instead you paid 13 sat/byte it would be 0.001206 BTC or about $7 and most likely get through in the next day or so.

FYI when I change the payout structure, the longest you will be allowed to go without being paid is probably monthly payouts.

Something more, it depend of the wallet.
I had Jaxx Wallet (iOS app is good), and if i put on low fee, i have arround 35USD to consolidate 30 tx.
I open my wallet with electrum, and here there are more setting, so yesterday, when the price is 100satoshi/byte, i can choose that, and just cost some USD to consolidate.
But i have some doubt about REpleacable function, is it necessary (to generate new tx if necessary with higher fee, it's just a security ?)
And when the fee are 220satoshi/byte, to choose 100 satoshi/byte i must use manual fees and not dynamic fees (which are got on the network)

I have been using the same LEPA PSUs for 2 years, first on AntMiner S7's then on S9's without any PSU problems at all.  I've had S9 hashboards fry, but not from the power supplies.  The hasboards that fried were always in the one S9 that I have which is Batch 1.  I am fairly certain that it is an overheating problem.  I have two hasboards out of it now, sent off to Bitmain Warranty in Colorado for repair.  When they come back, I am going to underclock that S9 to 600 rather than the default 650 and hope that fixes the problem.  In case anyone is interested in the model of PSU I use, they are LEPA G Series G1600-MA 1600W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Full Modular Power Supply.  I can't speak for all of them, but my anecdotal testimonial evidence is that I have had 3 of them running for 2 years solid, without a minute of downtime other than a couple brief power outages to my house for a couple hours or when I manually shut them down to remove the hashboards to send in for repair.  The PSUs themselves have never had any problem, even when running the S7s, which used more wattage than the S9s.  When I had the S7's I would have at least 2 industrial surge protectors burn out completely, frying the circuit breaker to toast, per month.  That was sheer agony.  I couldn't find a surge protector that was S7-proof.  I have never had one fry with my S9s.

I noticed you guys talking about 1600W PSU's and I just happen to be selling brand new, sealed in the box EVGA SuperNOVA 1600 G2 80+ GOLD 1600 WATT PSU.

I've been running 3 of them at home since late June without problems and have an extra one.  I run Avalon 741 on each one and PSU's never gave me any issues.

If you're in the market for one you would be helping a fellow pool member in the process Wink
