was away for a while, setting up a permanent mining site.

looks like a good time to jump back in... just added 260TH to the pool. 40 more S9's on the way... (march batch)

let's goooooo! Smiley

That's funny because it only takes 20 S9's to get 260Th
...And Bitmain restricted sales of that batch to 10/customer....I only got 8 more myself..

not that i need to explain myself, but i have 20 machines currently running, and just ordered 40 more with 4 different accounts, under myself and 3 co-investors. Smiley

Hey so I definitely want to contribute more to this pool, one of my miners is down at the moment but that's not what I'm talking about anyway.  I just want to know if there's another place besides Ebay that's trust worthy to purchase miners?  Even Ebay has sellers that i'd never buy from but a lot of them are decent people.  Between all the scam sites that supposedly sell miners (for quadruple what the manufacturer sells them for) and that Alibaba website where it's like direct from china I have so clue where to look besides ebay.  I mean there's always a chance of hitting the 1/2 hr window for a new batch up at Bitmain but I've never been able to hit that window.  Please if anyone has any suggestions...love ya forever.  lol  Hope all is well guys, mine on!  All Hail Kano

Can someone explain how the percentage works? I thought that each block was a roll of the dice. Once a block is generated, everyone starts over rolling the dice as fast as they can. (hash rate) The way you guys are quoting percents, makes it seem like we are "assembling" a block and that it will be any time now before it is complete. Forgive me for not understanding how pool mining works.

Apologies for the off-topic, so I'll be brief: More product (S9's - limit 10, T9+'s - limit 2) have been opened up today.

I mean there's always a chance of hitting the 1/2 hr window for a new batch up at Bitmain but I've never been able to hit that window.  Please if anyone has any suggestions...love ya forever.
Bitmain has product today.  That's the best way to go - you just have to be diligent about watching for opportunities.

They're taking USD by wire transfer for the S9s in this batch, which is the way to go if you're strapped for BTC/BCH.   There will also be a customs charge on the way into the states.

If you're reluctant to buy direct, don't be.   It just takes a LOT of patience as you wait for the shipment to arrive.

That's how pooled mining works - the one lucky hash solves the block, yes, but all participants are rewarded for the work they submitted to the pool based on the system used, in our case PPLNS with 5d being the N used here. Solo mining is an all or nothing proposition...
Mine On!!  Cool

I wouldn't consider this as off-topic...this means Kano miners have a chance to increase the pool hashrate Cheesy

It's so tricky to catch these sale windows when they are open. Grin

Yeah, I'm watching it very closely for the BitCH coin exchange rate to get up enough for me to ditch the ones I got from the fuck, oops I meant fork, of the real BTC...!  I'd like to shoot another miner to the pool and get rid of that nasty shitcoin at the same time!!  Cheesy

Buy from the manufacturers or their distributors only.

And remember that only Canaan has multiple distributors. Bitmain, eBit, Whatsminer, all sell through a single distributor or site.

So I have been waiting for comments on the BTC price today - but it is quiet!  Sure is amazing how it bounces around.  Anyway, looks like another sale to increase my portfolio.
