Block by luckyant! That is one lucky ant! This is our 1st of BLOCK TUESDAY! Excellent, the pool seems to have kept 170ish PH. Blocks (and thus payments) are coming more often.

Payouts each block are if your reward is over dust (0.0001 BTC) A 14TH/s miner is well above dust but at the start of your 5Nd 'ramp' there might be a dust reward.
Dust gathers into dust bunnies under the bed and awaits the new accounting system completion. Thank you for reminding us this. Have you considered writing about the dust in the Help -> Payouts page? I am just trying to understand how the 5Nd works. How would I be able to estimate my payout per block for my miner? I read the explanation on the site, but maybe I'm just too stupid to understand it haha

I read the explanation on the site, but maybe I'm just too stupid to understand it haha Reward per block is your % of the 5Nd of work that went before the block was found. First, to determine you're 'expected daily reward' use this: http://tradebtc.net/bitcalc.phpThen if we 'expect' one block every X days, then your 'expected' block reward will be X times that etc. However, pool hash rate changes a lot, so of course that estimate changes a lot also. Edit: and of course as you 'ramp' up, your reward per block will be lower than your hash rate - as it ramps up. The Shift Graph will show you your current 5Nd hash rate.

As mentioned om the previous page, it's automatic except dust: ... You get a reward per block found based on your % of the last 5Nd of work everyone did. (See Help->Payouts)
. . .
Payouts each block are if your reward is over dust (0.0001 BTC) A 14TH/s miner is well above dust but at the start of your 5Nd 'ramp' there might be a dust reward.
Dust gathers into dust bunnies under the bed and awaits the new accounting system completion.

The only thing better than this morning block is kano having to use 50- 400 as a definition of pool hashrate Was this another failover block? Man those are sweet.

If you check out kano.is the pool hashrate is fluctuating you can see it in the top left corner.
If you log in you can check out your reward and see what the pool hashrate was for the purpose of that reward.
The pool n hashrate was 128 PH, we've had a large miner failing over, to our advantage I'd say, especially that good old triple day.

It's all part of 5Nd...big hash comes in and it takes a while to ramp up and when big hash goes away it takes a while for it to ramp down. We did get a huge benifit from all the blocks while he was here

You don't get paid in full in the beginning, there is a "ramp up" period, this is to deter pool hoppers. But there is also a "ramp down" period, should your miner stop for whatever reason, it slowly decays instead of you getting zero immediately. I call it the PPLNS advantage. Of course if you stop mining but return quickly, it won't decay much and go back to full payments quickly. Just check your Shift Reward and look at the red line to know where you are standing in the ramp.
