Your shift graph average line change, each shift, will be affected by the point that moves off the left, vs the point added on the right.
However, on a diff change, the length of the 5Nd will also change, in this case it got a little longer due to the diff drop (-0.63%) so that can affect it also of course, but only when the diff changes.
understood - the point dropping off the left is nearly 20 TH lower than the one adding to the right. I would just love to be fully ramped up, its been since Feb and I am still 15 TH from fully ramped up, when yesterday i was only 13 TH from it, so from my perspective, I am moving backwards not forwards. Yeah that's probably the 0.63% and a little variance. The extra 0.63%will add back a few of the older shifts into your average. The above is probably the cause, however, the graph seems to be running off the left end since the 5Nd is getting bigger, so I'm not 100% sure it's correct. The average number shown there is calculated when it draws the graph, so it may also be a little off due to the large number of shifts now making 5Nd running off the left ... I've just made the graph a little wider - see if that made any difference.

I wish my little miner could find it, it would be hilarious...
how much hash are you pointing at kano? That would be 8.5T (R4). Don't worry, its not one of those Gekko usb sticks One of Fuzzy's recent blocks was found with an R4...it can be done Also, every block is found by only one machine no matter how many you have.

and yes it did, average went up by 1.5 th/s - thanks!

You can make it slower (frequency) and quieter also. I have that in my lounge room each winter. This time I'll try an A851 and A921 to see if they can be as quiet on very low settings) It is all to do with the fan speed and thus if the operational heat is lower, the fan speed will be lower.

Another angle to try--since my 921 still seems impervious to volt/freq changes --is to set the default temp higher than default (e.g. 741 @ 95 instead of 90 = 75% fan, 921 @ 98 instead of 95 = 50% fan). This helped in my case so the fan wouldn't try to fight as much at keeping the temps down. Maybe if Canaan comes out with a 921 firmware that actually responds to volt/freq changes, the above method may be used in conjunction with volt/freq changes too. Edit: Oh, and the reason I'm hesitant to limit the fan directly is just in case some unforeseen heat wave causes it overheat since I didn't allow it to go up to 100% fan. That's just my personal preference, though.

dammit... was getting ramped up but now Frontier has a nationwide service outage affecting like 40% of their customers here in FL and across other states that they service... Have had no internet for 2 hours. At least I was home to power down the mining building otherwise they would all be running but doing nothing... but now I am ramping back down, lovely.... now watch a block hit while I am ramping down...
after almost 6 hours, internet services restored. only lost about half a th/s in ramp up - glad I stayed up.

Good thing Kano uses PPLNS! true but I still lost half a th in my average during the 5 hours of no service, of which I have gained 10% of that back so far after 8 hours of being back up. I always lose it faster that it ever builds back up. I can ramp down in a week but takes a month to ramp up. I know it has to do with pool hash rate and so on but my luck is the ramp down is fast and the ramp up is super long.

However, time doesn't factor in to the amount of your rewards. Pool luck is all that determines that, though we are getting quite small now, where large positive diff changes will also affect that. Fortunately, there's been no large positive diff changes for a while.

no but time factors into our average which does affect our rewards, right? I lost half a TH on my average within 5 hours - after being back online for 14.5 hours, my average is still not where it was before the 5 hours of outage. I think the pool hash rate was in the 40 PH during the time I was offline vs the 28-32 PH range it has been since I came back online. could that be why I am ramping up slower? and can we please find a block soon? lol over 20 days now I want to buy new equipment lol

Good luck builds momentum in bad luck times, so all is good. The longer the bad luck, the higher the chance good luck will come...

Well, considering it's still just under 200% it's not like it's unexpected or does it matter. See Help->Luck, all pools expect 1 in 7.2 blocks to be over 200% As for time, no, it's not the longest. The first pool block was.

And if it is expected that 1 in 7.2 blocks be over 200% let this be ours and can we get the other 6 before the end of the month? lol
