If the frequency changes, does the voltage also need to be changed?

Who is receiving fans with one 3 pin connector attached to 2 fans?
It appears, everyone is.  There's nothing wrong with that, either, as all the fan and pump needs are two wires - one positive and one negative.  The fans and pump run at full-speed and are not throttled so there is absolutely no need for more than two wires.

That's fine, but the fans were damaged. All the plastic brackets that hold the fan in the square were broken.  Bitmain said he wouldn't send me replacements unless I bought another miner since it would cost him to much to just send me two fans. Basically he doesn't want to pay for the cost of doing business as he should be. I don't care what shipping cost. When a customer receives damaged parts, shows hi-res pictures of it, the expectation is to get them replaced without a hassle.
Shipping damage is normally fixed with a claim to the shipper, not the manufacturer.

I would have never signed for a box if it was not in perfect condition. That's why the shipper makes you sign for it also. Boxes were in perfect condition. It's just obvious they sent me defective fans and don't have the balls to honor a simple replacement. They are trying to make me buy another AntMiner so they can put an extra set of fans in one of those boxes. This starts to show the real layers and colors of a company when they pull shit like that. Even though it is just 2 fans, which is not huge deal, if something happens later on down the road we are all screwed. Horrible business practice on his part. He's going to lose potential sales and a customer because of two 120mm fans? The idea in business is to try and keep your customer's for future business so you can stay in business. No hard math, just simple common sense.

Received my C1 yesterday with watercooling kit.  Set it up today.  No problems initially, pump not leaking (could all these leaking pumps be due to overfilling?  The instructional video seems to show the pump being filled to the very top, but when the liquid heats up it expands, if it's completely filled where is it going to expand to?  Might be something to consider to fill it less full, so the air in it can compress when it heats up.  I've completely filled mine so I'm thinking about removing some fluid).  Did have 2 of the radiator fans connected to one header as others have pointed out.  My fan/pump power cables are connected to a PCI 6-pin power adapter that instructions state to connect to one of the open ones on the C1 which is new to me.
Anyway after doing some initial setting it was hashing, but went to log in to change something and was unable to.  Get the Antminer C1 screen but no request to login and all blank.  Tried the 10 second on the rest button and power recycle but same results.  Looks like the SD card image might have become corrupted as happened with many others.

EDIT:
I was able to get it working with HDD Raw Copy Tool reflashed to the SD card with the image BitMain linked me to in an e-mail, but it was the old firmware so when I upgraded the firmware I got the same blank AntMiner screen.  So I'm reflashing the SD card to get it working and hoping for a link to the image file with the new firmware included.

I fill them right up to the very top and then screw on the brass screw cap just enough so if any pressure builds it can release from there. And no evaporation issues. This has worked best for me.

Ok....I got the following emails from Bitmain...

   Hi,
Please change the pool difficulty settings to a higher value to try, more than 2048.

   Best Regards

   BITMAIN

   2014-12-11 19:05 GMT+08:00 Bitmain Tech <info@bitmaintech.com>:
   Hi,
After you change the pool, have you restarted the miner?
Please try with more pools, the issue is strange and I've also forwarded it to engineers to check.
please try to do more test with different pools.
   Thanks.

I responded as follows:

    Sir,

    I have tried the following:

    1.   Three different pools (antpool, bitminter, btcguild)
    2.   I have adjusted the difficulty on two of the pools (btcguild, bitminter)
    3.   I have restarted using the menu after changing the pools
    4.   I have unplugged the miner after changing the pools

Please find below an excerpt from a forum board discussion I have been having with your representative “Dogie”

    (deleted for brevity)

I have tried his suggestions as well with no solution.  He suggested that the controller needs to be replaced.  If that is the case how is this done and how quickly.  I am sure you understand the importance that
time has on mining.  This miner has been down for 2 days now and I’m losing BTC.

    Please advise.  Thank you.

Soooo....that's where I am at the moment...

Can you send me a ticket number please? Or PM me your email.

To those of you who are having problems logging into the web interface on C1, try clearing the web browser's cache first. If you had accessed another Antminer (s3, s4, etc...), your browser's cache interferes with access to C1. Delete your browser's cache, then restart your browser or your computer and try the ip address again.

Or don't use Internet Exploder.  It's renowned for cache issues.

Fixed

The ideal is you leave it capless until you get up to steady state running, then close the cap.

Is it possible to overclock the C1?

If the frequency changes, does the voltage also need to be changed?

Yes and yes. You will officially lose your warranty if you overclock, but you may be able to get a reasonable overclock. Efficiency will go out the window and you'll need sizeable PSU headroom though.

BitMain got my C1 working this morning.  Seem with the router you need to select a IP address OUTSIDE the range (under .63 I think) to work in Static IP (with DNS and gateway set to 192.168.1.254).  Trying to find the Pool Balance setting though, is it only a default of FAIL with the C1 or can you select BALANCED or UNBALANCED somewhere in the settings?

Here's some info. I'll pass on.

The first firmware has the voltage set to 0725, this runs my C1 at about 760 watts DC (after the power supply, multiply by 1.09 to get the approx. power draw at the wall with my Gold power supply on 120v AC).  My C1 runs about at or above the 1,008 Gh/s minimum at this original default voltage, temp. reading is about 50.
The second firmware ups the voltage to 0760, this runs my CA at about 830+ watts DC (after the power supply, multiply by 1.09 to get the approx. power draw at the wall with my Gold power supply on 120v AC).  I believe this was done to guarantee a 1,005 Gh/s minimum.  So if your C1 is running OK with the first firmware, you might want to try the original voltage to see if your C1 runs OK at that voltage, you'll save on heat (over 5 degrees less) and power (over 70 watts).

Can someone recommend a good/better/reliable water pump for the C1??

I keep reading horror stories about those things going all the time, might be a better idea to get a better built pump.

I think I found one on Frozen CPU...

http://www.frozencpu.com/products/22869/ex-pmp-281/Alphacool_AGB-Eheim_600_Station_II_-_12V_15127.html?tl=g30c107s153

It looks solid and I believe Alphacool is one of the good ones.

You see, I'm good with both computers and cars but cooling systems, I always avoided... gives me headaches.

Would a 600L/h pump work on a system designed for 450L/h?

I like the idea of more flow but don't know if the system itself would take it... again, lack of knowledge on the matter.

Or, even better yet, is there a ready made upgraded cooling kit for the C1?

Lastly, is it possible to use a pair of 650W PSU instead of one big one?

Got lots of smaller 650W PSU's made by Corsair and SeaSonic, a high quality 1000W is a C$200 bill I don't really want right now.

I was in the same boat and was looking at other pumps incase this one leaked when it arrived.  It's been working fine so far, but this is the one I had my eye on incase:  http://www.frozencpu.com/products/14568/ex-pmp-171/Swiftech_MCP35X_12v_PWM_Controlled_Water_Pump_-_White.html?tl=g30c107s153 (1,000 L/H) with the optional 100 reservoir tank and heatsink, but it's a pricey alternate.

Yikes, 1,000L/h that nuts, overkill for one miner.

The one reviewer claims it gets very hot and heat sinks are sold for those pumps...

One step forward and one step left IMHO Undecided

Think all the items are directly available from Swiftech in stock.  I actually purchased an additional radiator from eBay which is working fine.  http://www.ebay.com/itm/240mm-280mm-Radiator-Aluminum-Barb-3-8-OD-Black-G1-4-Thread-For-PC-Water-Cooling-/191208931188?pt=US_Water_Cooling&hash=item2c84f0bf74   I was initially looking at seeing if I could set up 2 C1's on a single EVGA 1600w P2 power supply (I have in another rig, theoretically is should handle both at the 0725 volt. setting but not at the 0760 setting, but it's pushing it) in a Corsair Carbide Air 540 case (with this fan controller http://www.amazon.com/AeroCool-Touch-E-Temperature-Controller-CoolTouch-E/dp/B00GMYATYK/ref=sr_1_cc_7?s=aps&ie=UTF8&qid=1418492460&sr=1-7-catcorr&keywords=AeroCool+fan+controller ) with that Swiftech pump (might consider trying 2 of the ones that come with the C1 first) and this additional reservoir http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003LMNL8C/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 (3 of these fans on the front side pushing in of the 360 radiator http://www.prolimatech.com/en/products/detail.asp?id=2722&page=1 and 2 of these on the back side pushing out of the 280 radiator http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835233093 and one of  these on the backside of the casehttp://www.prolimatech.com/en/products/detail.asp?id=1906&page=1 and the C1 fan upgraded to http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00A460TK6/ref=gno_cart_title_0?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER
It would be a pretty compact set up, I'm still considering completing if the S5's don't come out soon.

C1 arrived in a record time. Miner is ok, but the cooling kit is the worst thing i have ever seen. The water pump leaked on the first power up and died after 1 minute work, wiring for the fans is bad soldered and the wires are so thin, tubes for the radiators soften if the miner has temperature over 40C. They should take care about this. Syscool should raise the price for 5-10 usd and sell quality not quantity ! ! ! Next purchase will be only miner. I dont need crap

the wires are so thin

I had to cut the wire on the harness because I needed 4 pins molex instead of pci-e. There is just a flimsy copper wire the size of an hair inside of it. But it's working. My kit was in perfect condition. I'm loving this near silent miner.

Your pump leaked.  Did you leave the fill cap open until the water heated up? Also do not overfill the pump because air will compress more easily than water.

Those having harness problems I love this little adapter molex to 3 pin adapter - http://www.amazon.com/Phobya-4-Pin-3-Pin-Splitter-Connection/dp/B007S3T4O0/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1418516992&sr=8-3&keywords=molex+to+3+pin

Have had two working great on that adapter.

Thought I would report a successful custom water cooling setup for two c1's. I used some parts I had lying around from some of my old watercooled PC's.

1 D5 Pump with EK Pump Top
1 560mm Rad GTX560
8 140mm Fans in push-pull

Both C1's in series (refer photo and some screen grabs of the temps which are remarkably even across the two units)

Currently both are overclocked to 262.5 with the default voltage.

http://s29.postimg.org/yaj021rfr/ant_c1_1_2_wc.jpg
http://s30.postimg.org/sm1b5gki9/ant_c1_1_2.jpg

Can you or anyone tell me where the guide is for overclocking the C1? The older setting I know from the s1-3 are not working and I searched everything I could think of but cant find it.
