Exactly as I have expected, short sellers stop every serious advance. Too many bots around.

Bitcoin-price! It jumped from $640 to nearly $660. But yes, there are a lot of shorters. Interest rate is very high. But, price holds good against BTC and shorters.

Seems more likely somebody just sold on the Bitcoin rise. I think halving is overestimated. Consider how many people have bought because of block halving.. haven't they bought already if halving was the reason? And when will you see the actual effects of the halving actually reflected on markets?

I think Bitcoin will fluctuate around $5xx-6xx for a while based on the calculations I've done. Seems sustainable.

quite possible. But if the Fall from 770-550 was only a correction in the upward trends towards the halving and we go up to 5 digits.. then alts will blood and fct will see sub 10.

we will see in a week.. http://bitcoinclock.com/

Pretty exciting. And Factom is looking better by the minute. I'm expecting a rebound to 0.0023 today then on to 0.003 this weekend. Looks like some daytraders sold because of the rise in Bitcoin, they will be back once there is no action in Bitcoin.

Action in BTC will probably continue, at least till June 9th, when we can expect halving. However, M2 progress is what Factom holders should expect, that would differentiate FCT from bunch of similar coins.

Action maybe. I don't think it gets much better than this in Bitcoin.. not worried about FCT/BTC market during halving, I think we've seen the biggest market surges in Bitcoin already. Besides my own calculations I have a little tinfoil and maybe even fud theory that big miners are offloading Bitcoin now that they've kept in their coffers for a while which should even out the enthusiasm over incoming halving. I'm however bull long-term over the halvings effects on markets. But we actually have to get past the halving event and give it some time before that is to be seen.

Check few posts up. There is some exciting movements on Github. Got any thoughts on what that could be Ivan? The optimist in me says they are getting ready to roll out M2.

(Factom mentioned)

Vitalik is an early investor into Factom.

http://www.financemagnates.com/cryptocurrency/interview/factom-ceo-blockchain-based-transparent-mortgages-can-restore-trust-in-markets/

Quoted below:

Would Ethereum smart contracts not be a fitting solution to many of these industries?

Factom will also be placing these anchors into Ethereum so developers will be able to build solutions with a combination of audit trails and smart contracts. Smart contracts need a data source to execute against – so it’s a natural fit.

Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin’s fund Fenbushi was an early investor in Factom.

I submitted a transaction via factom-cli almost an hour ago and it still hasn't been reflected in the factom.org block explorer or with 'factom-cli balances'.  How can I troubleshoot this?

70% of Transactions, or How China Raises Its Bitcoin Influence

http://forklog.net/70-of-transactions-or-how-china-raises-its-bitcoin-influence/

"When it comes to investment in particular blockchain systems, Chinese investors prefer three projects apart from bitcoin, namely Litecoin, Ethereum and Factom. So, whatever happens to the industry in the near future, China has already become one of the basic investment indicators, and the country’s internal events will impact the industry way more than speculations around Brexit."
