FCT/$ ratio is already higher, I doubt it will hit 400k with btc this high. But who knows we shall see.
I will buy when M2 comes out, not on a hype pump.

when Btc breaks 800 I will gladly sell my bag to recover my hard earned fiat/btc and buy back when real news come out. You can invest in other projects that give you faster return then this.

1. Buy the rumor, sell the news...
2. Just curious. What gives you faster returns? A casino? =)

Okay so I'm running into the issue where factomd.exe no longer syncs to the current block again.
Everything was working correctly a few days ago.
I stopped factomd and the walletapp and did some Monero mining on this PCs GPU.
After stopping the Monero miner and starting factomd I get the
"BMGR: at 67214: syncing to block height 67730 from peer..." message and nothing updates.

The Control Panel states-
Last update: more than 26 minute(s) ago

System
Factom Mode: Full Node (Client)
Go compiler version: go1.7.3
Legal
Copyright 2015 Factom Foundation
Use of this source code is governed by the MIT
license that can be found in the LICENSE file.

Status
Directory Block Height: 67215
Factoid Transactions Processed: 84803

And has been sitting for almost 30 minutes with no update.
Am I doing something wrong? Is this delay normal? Is there a queue to sync your local blockchain from the server?
What messages should I be looking for in the log to troubleshoot this?

Did you get synced? I have waited some long times before the new blocks start syncing, maybe it scans the previous blocks and this takes time (I'm just guessing here). When I have another terminal open and enter    factom-cli get height      I see that the action has been performed in the factomd terminal and each time a different value is returned, which lets me know that it is working, as also checking CPU usage. I have had disconnections at times, not since the last released binaries,  but it tels me that in the factomd terminal. I haven't had any stalls though....   Maybe you have synced now,  if not at least this give you a bump....

Bitcoin is also trying to get to 800 or more before 2017. Bulls are running nonstop.

Yeah I ended up going to bed and let factomd do its thing overnight.
Woke up and it was synched.
Just wondering if this is normal behavior for it to take a few hours to catch up if you stop the service for a day or two, or if something is causing delay.

What is your prediction, Pap0u? Are you shorting? What was your entry for the short? 2600? Are you still holding? =) How are your 1000% gains in STRAT doing? =))))
Last we heard you were saying 2800 was coming. Which, if we give you your 48 hours, is coming up in 40 minutes. So what will be your next failed prediction?
Edit: I don't wish you to lose money at all. It sucks. Hope we all can make some nice returns together with FCT.

Interesting what you call a "dump". First I believed you had other accounts before, but you must be really new.

Crypto used to have a compelling underlying belief structure—an ethos. Then it got money. Then guys like GrossBit and Pap0u came in who care only about the money. That is a sad thing.

Why is it so bad to make money on the downside then take a huge position at 150k in 6 months for when this moons in 12. Why do you guys think we are going from here to a massive pump? It makes no sense. Factom already got pumped months ago, people are using the news to sell large positions and everybody is going to start buying in again soon but why wouldn't everyone want to buy cheap? 80k-150k. Why do you guys like to buy at these prices? I don't get it. Be grateful you can short this as well for such cheap loans. There is money to be made but you guys are very closed minded individuals who think there is only one path to riches....

We will see 290k for sure by the looks of the order books. I'm thinking we will retrace to 260k until market decides what it wants to do.

Right now this is kinda normal on many blockchains, including Factom.

That said, the Genesis code (some refer to as M1, the code you are running) is getting rather long in the tooth.  We are working to get Factom Federation out ASAP (what people cal M2), and you can take a preview of the new code by running a node on the Test Net now.   The new code base handles multiple federated servers for greater security and distributed authority.   We have vastly reduced the footprint in memory, use of CPU, and increases transaction rates.   The new code even has a nice control panel and built in explorer.

In Pap0u's defense I can say that no one comes here to lose money.

Regardless, no need to get anxious over a little dip. Just sit back, relax, and enjoy the show! Wink Factom will be just fine.

I have to say I keep visiting this thread less and less cause it has turned into a FUD and trollish speculation thread led by Papu. This comes from someone who used to talk about the price a lot. Unless we get M2 soon, FCT s going to be pumping and dumping for at least a few more months. Is this something we re gonna do all the time?

It good to hear more voices and opinion other than hype/FUD. I hope the likes of Papoo don't chase away other's who are Pro-Factom.

I also had an issue with factomd stalling on windows this week, was stuck at around the same height, clearing the ldb folder fixed it. No problems on the linux machine though.
