Hope the Gates Foundation news is true.
Would be nice if we can get more information and additional confirmations on this.
No doubt that it's true. IBtimes is legit and the author Ian Allison pushed out a lot of news for Factom.
yes IBM is legit, but there is no market reaction yet. No Confirmation on FOundation Website Yet too.
There are two important aspects right now in my opinion:
Bitcoin constantly suppresses the market (and not just Factom of course). The pressure on prices because of Bitcoin is not just (how many may believe) if Bitcoin obviously rises, but right now Alt-markets show that people believe that Bitcoin will rise more - even if it's kind of stable right now.
Second point, with the above in mind, is: Obvious market-reactions on news are psychologically-self-driven. There are basically two parts: Something comes out --> informed people want to be early in and buy, and very often exaggerated - that draws attention - others ask "why is project X rising - they get the info and in the context of the market reaction they react on it and buy as well and the real reaction starts.
That means: Those who drive the price are usually not well informed. They draw conclusions out of a reaction plus a basic news but they can not evaluate themselves if something is meaningful or not.
And in my opinion it's about the combination of 1 and 2. Informed people already are invested and the majority always has the possibility in mind that Bitcoin may hype. Uninformed people don't see a reaction and they stay uninformed because they would only inform themselves if they would see a nice candle and increasing volume etc.
The above also means: There is still the possibility that there will be a reaction but delayed. The news will get increasing attention and it also will have some effect on the market, but it's not predictable if that will be significant or not. Best case right now would be if BTC would go down.
