Lmao cryptsy let a shitcoin steal all their bitcoin and didn't tell anyone http://blog.cryptsy.com/post/137323646202/announcement

First of all, are they retarded and not put each shitcoin in a vm? Second vern probably stole it and is now in China.

A trojan stole coins from a "cold" wallet. I think someone didn't think this story through well enough.

Yeah no vm and no manual compiling of random shitcoin? Vern cant keep his lies straight. I segregated my own bitpopcoin even when I compiled it myself. DO is only $5/month.

I wonder if someone could actually find the trojan code:

https://github.com/alerj78/lucky7coin

Otherwise the questions is what source Cryptsy compiled the wallet from.

didnt they always go on about how tight their security was? how thats how they've never been hacked?

im still stuck on how cold storage is hacked. how can a trojan affect an offline source thatdidnt touch the net?

Maybe this was an inside job. Then they found a published exploit:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=935898.0
https://github.com/alerj78/lucky7coin/issues/1

and decided to call it a hack.

Edited 2020-11-28 to fix a broken image

Or their definitions of "cold", "offline", etc come from the same dictionary as Garza's "escrow":

It's a copy+paste text. Visit other exchangers. You will find the same shit text. Nobody will say "we store the BTC online" Smiley

And what was Mintsy's role in all this, CCN was also very unpleased to write anything about mintsy too, getting more btc or data or both?? Hacked long time ago, I am not sure who believes this story, especially as they were telling over their ticket system that they are aware of the issue and nobody has to worry, their devs were supposed to work for months, then it was again announced that someone could withdraw 40-50 (do not remember how much it was) which this person has given back and their reply was "Do not worry, our devs are aware, nothing happened and everything is fixed". After multiple times bringing this question up, they always replied that they do care about it. Promotion of mintsy scam was the last what they did where bitjohn was supporting their thread here on bitcointalk. Later on bitjohn quit suddenly cryptsy without to announce it. During all the time CCN got multiple requests to write about the story, their last answer was "Write it yourself, we will maybe publish it". The whole story is an big lie and they first lie, then they lie that 1st was not lie, then they claim that 2nd was not a lie, ....

No question, bitjohn knows much more then he is willing to say. So many events seem to be connected but there is still a lot of conspiracy in the air, what is sure, cryptsy lied all the time and these lies got longtime support from CCN.

And I almost forgot, Paul cares now to give bounty of 1000btc for hints about the hack that happend by his words very long time ago but he never managed to close open issues, EUR market was open but they meant not to have an partner for euro and .... and .... , it's all higly dubious. Now his customers that wait for months for withdrawals must watch how he makes bounties instead to pay his customers out, when .gox domains will be possible to change cryptsy.com to craptsy.gox  Grin
