At what point does this become the worst run altcoin launch ever from a technical perspective?

I'm sure there's some real hum-dingers out there? Anyone have any historical perspective?

first one comes to mind is the excessive levels of KYC just to trade XPY to BTC
second one is the small value weekly limits placed on trades

Well, we already have KYC and limits. This might be either (a) something CEO just made up on the spot, he tends to do that often; or (b) a new feature he didn't want to mention while pumping the price on exchanges, e.g. the floor price is available only for coins that never left ZenCloud.

He could do something like put a 30 day hold for withdrawals on all incoming peecoin. Or is that even too draconian for gaw?

Any solution besides them buying all the coins on the outside for less than $20 is horseshit. Why do they care if you arb?  they have investors that are going to provide the $20 floor, so it shouldn't matter to them whether that 20 goes to someone who mined hash points, or someone who mined paycoins, or someone who acquired them by other means.

If they buy the $20 coin for $10 dollars, they get to keep $10 bucks extra because they no longer have to exchange that coin for $20 because they already have it.

They have said numerous times that paycoins are worth 20, if they do something to stop people from arbing they are full of it.

These were converted from zen's, I unfortunately bought into GAW about a week before it all went tits up, so paid over $20.  I know I could have sold them for like $10 but thought I would take the hashshitters then sell on the market but it does't look like thats ever going to emerge.

Option B would devastate GAW's standing with the faithful who took out their XPY to trade for BTC to buy more XPY, thinking that they were going to get the "$20" payout with their successful play on the market.

That would create one hell of an uprising on the forum. ;-)

Whenever this new wallet comes out (assuming they actually figure it out), someone will have to do a diff to see what the hell they changed. I'm sure whatever it is, it'll be a terrible hack.

I just wonder if it's possible that they can fuck things up so much they just say we need to start over lol.

I doubt it. The forum has been culled to the point where even the most outrageous fuckups receive a standing ovation. I'm pretty sure they could get away with it on HT, there are nice features in nodeBB they can use
