You are welcome Cryptonaire!
We just have to hang in there tough and remember why we believe in David, BAY and ourselves.
This is a tough time for everyone. On the face of it, it looks pretty bleak; but it's not.
(Thank God I have other investments that are doing great!)
But this is a good one, a REALLY good one; and good things do come to those who sometimes have to wait.
This will payoff in spades some day.
Cheers! Have a great weekend everyone!   Smiley

I agree, I have been with Bitbay since near day 1 and I still support and believe in this project.

Interesting...
$4,000 in the last 24 hours just moved BAY up $10M in market value. Wow.
Not having the slimy greasy fingers of the manipulators in our market may just be one of the best things that could have ever happened.
We will see.  Cheers! Wink

So... everyone now knows that everything in the world is... shall we say - rigged?
EVERYTHING... It's no longer a conspiracy theory. lol

However, anyone can still make M O N E Y if they work hard and are creative; and when the rigging stops and penance is paid, and true capitalism is allowed to flourish, BAY will do well, very well.

BTW - The cryptos, I think, are 90% a ponzi scheme to suck money into a black hole and F*** the people just looking for a way to stop being a slave.
Just imagine what it would be like if an Asian or European or African person with no credit card, or credit history said, "I would like to participate in global commerce; and BAY will allow me to do that!

BAY levels the playing field for everyone! AND - EVERYTHING IS WORKING AND READY TO SERVE THE PUBLIC! Now.

Having said that, if real people and real movements want to help the world survive, the world needs to wake up and start using BAY to CUT OUT THE MIDDLE MAN/WOMAN/or WHATEVER, and get the blood sucking vampires off our necks.

Peace.

WOW, if any project here has been a victim of shitty centralised exchanges it has to be this one.

The most sickening thing is missing these at 20 sats. What a crazy turn of events. Imagine cryptopia exiting, bittrex dumping, and nova closing? crazy times.

This project truly offers many unique features that brings that other projects simply can not compete with.

It seems to me that if we had our own truly decentralised exchange built in, that bitbay has almost created the end to end fully decentralised arena.

The only thing this project lacks is exposure and support by some highly influential people in this sphere. The core issue is most members here do not even appreciate what this project offers so have no clue at all on what an opportunity they are missing out on.

We need to educate them and built up a strong community going forward. Alts are diluting to the point where they will all pretty much be worthless.

The community we do have needs to find a way to educate other members on the advantages and use cases bitbay has over 99% of other alts here and give them a way to become involved and have a stake going forward.

This thread needs to be far more active so as to demonstrate the project is still progressing.

To think this was at 500M cap with less features and further from completion by far than this is now is quite strange. It just shows the ignorance of investors and the influence centralised exchanges have over them.

@CryptoHunter - Yes onward and forward.
I just think the market is still soooo small and because BAY is what Crypto is supposed to ultimately be, that "they" just had to try and "pull it"... out of everyone's conscience by killing it on the exchanges.

@ParsiCoin - You have a very nice looking exchange - congratulations!
You are very young, with very little traffic - for now. Best wishes for success.
Thank you for your interest in BAY.

WORLD NOTICE:
BitBay.market IS FUNCTIONING AND HAS THE BEGINNINGS OF A WORLDWIDE MARKETPLACE.
I do private trading/sales on there now.

BAY is like Amazon, Ebay and Alibaba; however, in a TRULY DEcentralized block chain - for the world to use, FREE.
I think this coin would be perfect for those that cannot access traditional banking and eCommerce systems.

Your enthusiasm for bitbay is what we need more of. It is a shame so many of the members of this community remain silent just waiting for others to build their future for them.

David has provided a fantastic base here and has done his best to push it out there for adoption.

We need now to really bring together on this thread all the enthusiasts and supporters and work together to find a way to push this forward. Surely we will not come this far just to let it all collapse into the abyss of forgotten and abandoned projects.

There may be some huge whales out there with 100's of millions of bay, we need to realize just hoarding and not allowing others to get some small stake by other means that just purchasing will not work. We need to bring incentives to get people using the market place.  The web market place ideally should be synced with the p2p market place fully and completely and polished up a little bit. Then we should run a rewards competition for using and completing (perhaps selling) items on there. It should ideally offer all of the features of the p2p market place as much as possible.

We could also start reaching out to other forums to bring in testers and future stake holders.

The roadmaps were going very well when last we were active. I hope we have not lost momentum due to the set backs and unfortunate actions of centralized exchanges.

Let's start building momentum again.

If we have even 50 members like doc bitbay would be unstoppable right now. Where are the real enthusiasts for this project. I feel the lack of support can only be due to the lack of understanding as to what this project actually offers.

We certainly need to build a minimum level of demand where the peg can be introduced successfully.

We need to build a team of people here that will work and contribute for bitbay not for btc. If you are a real enthusiast for bitbay you will work to build value from this project.

ROI projects that reward ONLY those or primarily those that are willing to invest are essential really going forward.

Just a couple of international bitbay reshippers could totally change the look of the bitbay web market place.

It really needs to work like this of course it would take a little bit to get it going due to the total death and destruction of the volume here in our market places.

We have a plugin or feature that your ebay reshippers (international if possible since the huge fees that are auto slapped on by ebay leave a ton of room for profit.

So you click the ebay items you are offering to resell, the plugin grabs the buy it now price and converts it auto and updates it in real time or near real time to perhaps 120% of bitbays market price and grabs the pics etc and lists it on your account for sale. It also scans that item to see if it becomes unavailable or whatever then auto removes it. The advantage at first will need to be on the sellers side to make the process worth while. This can be reduced as bitbay volume and price is more stable and has more liquidity.  As a seller you could later kick back a sensible amount to your buyers for extra great ratings and get more sales so long as you make a sensible profit per item.

So as a seller as soon as you see the sale generated you instantly check the ebay item is available dump the same amount of bay to fiat, and get the item ordered from ebay.

This kind of plugin could likey be done pretty quickly.  There are some points of risk for the seller these will be mitigated somewhat as volume picks up and liquidity increases. The profit margins are there though to afford the seller great profits without really pushing up the price hugely if at all to the seller. Eventually when all worked through efficiently there is plenty of room for a lot of profit and savings for both sides.

Need to get the volume and demand there first, even better if the peg can be flipped on.

There needs to be a group of bitbay enthusiasts formed that work together. There are some big holders and quite a few old legends all holding but sadly doing nothing to push the project forward.

Donations NEVER work, however ROI projects will certainly work far better.

I have suggested in before but I will suggest it again that david alters the pos rate to perhaps 15 rather than 20 per  and takes the 5 as a dev/advertising fund and use these coins as incentives to bring in new interest via incentives to use the market place, sell things there and many other well thought out uses for those coins. It is the fairest way to group fund since those with most will give the most from their stakes. Since we have the voting feature we can all get together and think of the best ways to use those coins to bring on adoption and awareness.

Is there any reliable blockchain bootstrap to speed up shyncronization?

Also my qt-wallet only shows 3 connections : should I create a .conf file to have a better connection to bitbay network? If so, may please someone paste its content here?

Thanks in advance for your help.

@cryptohunter - I am ALL for everything you said.
I felt like I was reading my own writing and ideas...
Donating a percentage of our staking money for the cause was a new one I had not thought of; but I like!

Having said that... Right now we are in a holding pattern, everything is working, but we can't do much until the peg is up and running on an exchange.
Once we get it up and running, I will have a big party here in the Southwest somewhere, and those that want to participate can decide on how to implement all the great ideas yourself, David and I have all expressed over the years.
Once we are back up and running - it will be easy.

I think your answer may be found at: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/bay/#!network

Be sure to go to the "Network" page as it appears to not be loading all the way in the above URL.

The marketplace is empty because no one is posting. However, the community IS testing the web based double deposit on beta.bitbay.market if you would like to check that out and even join in.

Many of us are simply waiting for the exchanges to accept the peg.
Once that is resolved I think there will be an uptick in volume and price.

The only reason there is a delay with this crypto 2.0 (BAY/Manipulation Resistant), is that the exchanges have to run our code and it is a bit of a pain to implement; BUT can you imagine the traffic our truly stable coin marketplace will generate for an exchange?

On the "in-house exchange" the peg is running beautifully and has been tested. It works great and the price goes over $8.00 pretty quickly.

Thank you for the reply BitBayDoc, and please accept my apologies for not expressing myself properly.  I was already aware that the peg was working as intended on the in-house exchange. What I meant to ask was, as this is a functioning exchange with the peg fully implemented, what progress has been made on making this exchange available for public trading?

The list of nodes are at that link. Just click on the most popular "node list" and that list you can add to the config file.

I'm advising people who want to start exchanges and teaching them a multisig exchange technique so we might end up having a permanent home. Not to mention a much more secure place to trade than a CEX. Since multisig exchange is 2 of 2 but has the speed of a CEX without forcing all the trades on the chain. The user thus only risks the open trades for the time until the transactions are cleared. The clearing may happen every couple days or whatever is the most efficient with blockchain fees.

I have no clue why all exchanges aren't set up this way. It's mind-blowing 2019 and it's like we are always the ones doing the proper security protocols.
