100TH ASiCMiNER ChainForker

I ROFLMAO'd over this and on a second thought realized how ChainForker is the most fitting name for a fat mining company Wink  Registered the .com, .info and .net domains just in case I make it that big one day.

iCEBREAKER, congrats for this creative neologism. Since it is yours, I am going to transfer those domains to you if you ask for it within a month for the price I paid (like $30).

the problem with this ASICMINER is that it takes AGES and when it's done it only gives the hash

Is this the best site to sell ASICMINER?
https://btct.co/security/ASICMINER-PT

There isn't much liquidity on the buy side, at least on the order books.

I'm not looking to sell, just trying to figure out fair market value of shares for accounting purposes.

Thanks!

30d Volume there is 7287 shares / 5575.9 btc.  I have noticed that people like to pick off the asks more than they like to post bids.

Check out bitfunder.com's market for the other passthru, the pricing is probably similar, but you could average the two for FMV?

With BFL finally doing something, it would be REALLY nice to see some added hashing for ASICminer this week.

I'm curious as to what kind of math is driving the price of ASICMiner shares. 1 ASICMiner share currently entitles you to the profit generated by 1/400000 of approx. 6500GH/s or 0.03BTC per month, at current difficulty (which seems to be raising at an ever accelerating pace). Shares trade for around 0.7 BTC. How is anyone planning to break even at these prices?

You know that there are 6TH to be deployed, 50TH in April and 200TH are ordered? And because of the problems with deploying asicminer will start to auction asicminer units. Is it really that hard to see where the shareprice comes from? Smiley

What's the current cost in terms of BTC/GH and USD/GH for ASICMINER? I tried to do some quick calculations, but my numbers are so off I must be missing something.

Current Hash Rate: 6500 GH (??)
number of shares: 400000

0.01625 GH/share
0.7 BTC/share
43.077 BTC/GH (4393.846154 $/GH) @ 102$/BTC

Is that right???

Even projecting out to 200TH it's 1.4 BTC/GH (142.8  $/GH).

Compared to:
Avalon ~ 1.17 BTC/GH
BFL ~ $20-22/GH (~ 0.2 BTC/GH)
100TH ~ 0.3 BTC/GH

Of course BFL and 100TH are not currently hashing yet. However, BFL might ship en mass in about 1 month. 100TH isn't projected to hash until July, so understandably they have a much lower valuation...in addition to the fact that they are much higher risk due to not having produced working hardware yet.

What other factors are you guys taking into account when trying to price ASICMINER shares? Shouldn't the value of shares drop off significantly over time as more and more players come into the market (assuming AM % of global hash rate goes down)?  Personally, I'm expecting around 1PH/s total hash rate at year end with diff just under 150M.

disclaimer: I sold at 0.65.

it's actually 262 TH/s projected (12+50+200) plus selling ASIC mining hardware. Plus the shares still have their value.
