That's great, but my question was why are we not hearing this from him first? As soon as we catch wind of something like this, he should be in here like a bullet confirming that it's true

The interviewer paid her own expense of traveling, including the flight tickets and hotel. What FC told her was not any secret, but something to be released soon. So I guess if you flied to Shenzhen China to visit FC, he would also tell you the same thing.

Also I'd suggest that we donate some btc to the interviewer, who paid all the expenses to interview FC for all of us. Her btc address could be found in her sticky thread in Chinese subforum: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=252469.0namely: 收款账户 答:收款账户一:中国工商银行山西晋中分行平遥支行 户名:金洋洋 账户:6222020508002370874 打款备注:您的姓名、QQ号、手机号 收款账户二:支付宝账户 fdahq@163.com 金洋洋 打款备注:您的姓名、QQ号、手机号 收款账户三:比特币账户:1KNCoqEqxszm4u4zRo6LiD3stWYVTWwK6tHer bitcoin address is as above: 1KNCoqEqxszm4u4zRo6LiD3stWYVTWwK6t

Still nothing to get to excited about.
Gen1 in November - this was originally planned for September, so 2 months late! Gen2 cancelled due to unsatisfactory performance. The 65nm chip was probably inferior to the BitFurry chip. Gen3 in February - probably 28nm, which means expensive. Low dividends will continue for some time to raise the funds for the Gen3.

Telling someone something market-affecting even five minutes before you tell everyone else is still telling a secret.

Let me get this right:
AM is a listed security with responsibility to share info with it's shareholders on an equal basis and in theory has a PR person (really??), yet it allows such important info to simply leak via some random interviewer to a small section of the community.
There is a reason that proper exchanges have rules to ensure that some shareholders are not favoured over others in the way information is released. Typical 'Wild West no rules' Bitcoin scenario. Again this shows that whilst AM may understand chips, it does not understand PR or shareholder communication ie proper corporate governance.

It's part of the fun. It's not very professional, though.

It's part of the fun. It's not very professional, though. Exactly - selective release of key information likely to affect price is usually controlled for a reason, in that those who receive it can trade to their advantage before the general market.

5. FC didn't sell his AM stocks at the peak of its price. When asked in the interview why he didn't cash out, he responded that if he sold out the shares, people who bought them would make him work for them. He would like to only work for himself.
Boom, the good old FC bounce.

idk, im not accusing anyone at this point, just saying i personally will wait for more solid evidence. most people on this thread have plenty of motive to jump in and help if they think theyll get a little more btc back. He confirmed the girl is reputable in the chinese bitcoin community which makes it seem less likely she would be involved in some sort of outright lie, pump scheme but Ive seen too many people in securities say anything to pump or dump a share price so ill remain skeptical at the risk of missing out of some profit. I think if this is true the share price would double so plenty of time to get back in, no need at least in my opinion to panic buy, thats always gets me in trouble lol
