101  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: THE RIGHT TIME TO MOVE IN on: January 02, 2023, 04:19:21 PM
@OP you heard it, the right time is always when the price is down, when you can afford to buy. I don't see what is stopping you. If you are waiting for 10k btc according to what some people speculates, you might miss out on a good opportunity which is right in front of you.
102  Other / Archival / Re: Long-term Bitcoin accumulation continues on: January 01, 2023, 06:25:20 PM
Am glad to see that real bictcoiners are not disturbed by this short-term FUD and the general market condition. Smart investors know what to do during times like this, those who are into short and quick profit are the ones always making the loudest noise anytime the market is down.
Despite the long bear market, smart investors are busy accumulating without being affected by whatever negative news is out there, this speaks volumes.
103  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My First Bitcoin on the New Year Day 2023. on: January 01, 2023, 06:15:21 PM
Step by step you will achieve your goal. Every little investment in btc is a way of indirectly building your financial freedom. Good thing you have started the year with a great decision. Am very positive you won't regret this decision rather you will be very happy with yourself in a few years to come. Congratulations and keep a positive attitude.

104  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Will there ever be any safe centralised exchange ? on: December 31, 2022, 10:38:00 AM
Is there any such thing as a "safe centralized exchange" ? a centralized exchange will always be centralized there is no in-between, if centralized exchanges were considered to be safe there won't be so much negativity surrounding them, and so many people won't be against them either.
Centralized exchanges are considered to be unsafe because they are in control of your funds and there are no guarantees your money is secured.
105  Economy / Exchanges / Re: STOP THE EXCHANGE FUD; Everyone will suffer the effect. on: December 31, 2022, 10:14:25 AM
Almost like FUDers are very eager to see binance fail no matter what, till now most of this fud doesn't have a genuine source that really points binance insolvency but there are several of them on the internet.
Just as the topic says, continuous FUD of binance or any centralized exchange out there will indirectly affect btc and crypto in general, the bear market already bitting the market enough, so there is no need to contribute to it with these continuous unending FUD.
106  Economy / Economics / Re: Effect of the FIFA world cup on Qatar's economy on: December 30, 2022, 09:27:59 PM
Most countries that host these events know they are doing it for a huge loss. The country doesn’t really depend on any revenue generated from this. It’s already fairly well off.

This was pretty much discussed a month ago. And most people were surprised by it. However that is just the way these events are done. They are done at a loss.

Qatar is a rich country, I doubt they are waiting on any ROI from the world cup to finance their economy or boost infrastructure, neither were they hoping to win the cup because they as a country are already very aware of the capacity of their players and the position they hold by  world ranking.
They wanted to host the world cup to showcase Qatar to the world differently from the media, and I believe that is their greatest achievement. Not everything is all about money.
107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Rank positions on CMC changes every bull market? on: December 30, 2022, 09:07:55 PM
Your concern should be how to flip your portfolio in the next upcoming bull run to achieve that so-desired goal. Besides the big mcap coins like btc, eth, usdt, and some others will certainly retain their spot, position on cmc is not guaranteed either is it very important to measure a project's success.
Cmc position doesn't determine the projects to invest in, but I get the need for some projects to want to stay in their position or push up in the lader. Ranking is not as important as a utility.
108  Economy / Economics / Re: Passive Income? New Start-Up Would Pay you to Share Personal Data on: December 29, 2022, 08:30:23 PM
It is a free world, people will do whatever will benefit them. It all depends on individual,  your data is your personal responsibility to protect and secure without sharing such information with other persons,  but some people because of one economic situation or the other may lead them to take certain decisions.
Personally I won't do that irrespective of the amount (hopefully the amount is not worth the risk) to be paid. O don't want my data falling into the wrong hands.
109  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We have been told: Invest only Extra money in bitcoin on: December 29, 2022, 08:22:54 PM
Yeah, you made a good point. Most of us don't have that extra cash they can afford to lose because every penny counts, in this situation.
You can only by btc from your savings of earnings, there is no spare cash lying waiting to be spent. If you are in this category, losing any funds will have a great impact.
110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Matrix Ai Network on: December 28, 2022, 09:20:21 PM
Is there any 🤩bounty🤩 or 🤩airdrop🤩 sir? lol.
Really sad to see MAN team members posting over 20 pages for years with zero fucks given by the community.
I can't tell what you are trying to achieve by posting updates and some NPCs (non playable characters aka non-existing team members, lol) praising the CEO or whatever?

I don't see anything wrong in updating this thread with all the latest improvements of the project.  It keeps the community updated of the projects development. AI related are new I would say, perhaps it is part of the reason why there is no much attention from the community. People are moved by the trends and hype especially in crypto.
111  Economy / Economics / Re: The poor people with their reasoning on: December 27, 2022, 07:53:42 PM
I don't think it only relates to the poor only, there are many rich folks who are not convinced btc is worth investing in. Haven't you seen some wealthy people condemning btc openly in public because of what they think about it?
Investing in btc is base on opinion and not financial status.
112  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you intend to tell loved ones about the bear market? on: December 26, 2022, 08:24:13 PM
I don't understand why people are always very excited to teach about Bitcoin to their love or close relative, you don't get any benefit, but actually you will receive many risk and bad thing happen in your life. Bitcoin isn't a new thing anymore, almost everyone already hear this word and each person has own device to search this on google. No need to teach them, they will learn it yourself.

Post it here in the forum gives some benefits (you should know that already)
On a serious note - teaching BTC to families and friends does not give any benefits directly but it helps to improve the awareness of btc to as many people as possible indirectly. I think this is the greatest reward for all btc supporters.
113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Pi network mining on: December 26, 2022, 07:31:08 PM
I don't like this kind of junk token, in addition to stealing user information, they always make false promises without making any commitment to their users. But today, there is a surprise for me, and I think everyone will be as surprised as I am. Huobi just announced that they would support the Pi mainnet and are looking at the possibility of listing PI on their exchange. This news is quite unexpected, but it could be good news for those who are mining this token.

Perhaps maybe because people easily jump to conclusions without waiting to see the outcome, this is the reason why it is wrong to conclude. Pi network deserved to be launched in a decent exchange considering the time it has taken for the mainnet to be launched. Those who kept mining despite the listing details were not known will be the lucky ones, this is such great news for all the pi network supporters.
114  Economy / Economics / Re: It's Simple to understood now cash is king again on: December 25, 2022, 07:28:22 PM
Despite the high rate of inflation and the loss of value, people are still working very hard to make money, in fact, the rate at which people hustle to earn ends meet is twice what it use to be.
If you are of the belief that cash is getting weak or phasing out, you are deceiving yourself, there is nothing you can do on earth without involving cash.
Even buying Gold also involves money because not everyone has access to mining Gold. And the list goes on.
115  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Hi i been doing binance futures for quite long time here is my idea on: December 25, 2022, 07:18:15 PM
Telegram is a place for scammers and not secure for any business discussion, why not just create a thread where you could be dropping your signals ~

Have you checked the scam accusation section of this forum? any platform is prone to scammers especially when it involves money, do you know the number of people that are scammed on Twitter? same as the rest of the social media platforms. Telegram is not perfect but is also not the only platform where people get scammed.

116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: SBF released, Will Solana ($SOL) come back? on: December 24, 2022, 08:19:52 PM
SBF, Alameda became the worst thing that happens to any projects they support.
Solana network was already making people loss interest on the project and now that sbf dirty laundry has been revealed to the public, investors will lose the confidence to hold the coins, dev will not want to continue supporting and developing project that is not transparent. There are better projects out their .
117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Free crypto possible ? Or impossible? on: December 24, 2022, 07:37:14 PM
Why don't you join airdrop or join testnet campaigns to get free tokens. Although, the are not exactly completely free because you get to do a bit of task to to be qualified.
Hope you also know that most free tokens are not worth anything and may probably never worth anything. Better you follow projects you can offer your services inreturn for a free tokens
118  Economy / Economics / Re: Nigeria Naira notes and its security features-- CBN on: December 23, 2022, 06:56:26 PM
~After the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) introduced the country's newly redesigned currency, counterfeit notes also started to circulate.

Would you look at that, I thought the reason behind the government's sudden redesign of the currency was to combat counterfeiting and inflation.
But it seems the issues persist despite the redesign, I think the government will have to devise other means to address this issue with counterfeiting because even with the guidelines you provided above, many people will still have problems identifying the real from the fake.

119  Economy / Economics / Re: Forget a return to office: We’re living in the age of side hustles on: December 23, 2022, 06:37:58 PM
I think convenience is what most people who are running to work as a freelancer crave. After the lockdown of covid-19, many people came to realize the convenience of working remotely, working at their own convenience without any boss stressing them out is something some people are not ready to give up.
Most especially in an advanced country like the united state where people's time is very valuable, am not surprised to see the high percentage.
120  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoiners kill Bitcoin, and governments are happy, boycott the CEXs on: December 22, 2022, 02:26:33 PM
The whole world we live in is centralized, people use centralized systems every day, how do you now expect btc to remain decentralized?
This global adoption bitcoiners shout all the time, how is it going to be truly achieved with a decentralized system? i doubt anyone will be willing to live in a country with a decentralized system of government where most information will be hidden from the people, even the government official's identity will be private, and all operations will be private. exchanges are not the problem but people who use them as their personal wallets.
Perhaps we should have our views from both sides.
