101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash | First Anonymous Coin | Inventor of X11, DGW, Darksend and InstantX on: August 18, 2015, 08:52:47 PM

I did try all. Still crashing like no tomorrow. Now crashing every few hours. Of course my masternode debug show successful after I start from the local client. Lost at least dozen of MN payments for all my nodes in last 8 days.

Btw I don't have the txindex=1 in dash.conf in remote daemon. I just try it for a few nodes, let's see whether it's still crashing.

Do you mind sharing the config for local and remote ?
Thanks in advance.

Not trying to be ornery, honest, but have you double checked to see if you're really on version 0.12.45?  Those issues sound like the problems of the versions before.  Sometimes we overlook the obvious, so I thought I'd state it here Wink

Thanks God that I'm not stupid, Tante Wink. I did check a few times, of course. Btw Thanks.

V12.0.45 is working great for me, really impressive work, all the new tools, wallet repair, backups,  syncing budgets, sporks, everything is super slick. It feels like a huge step forward, looking forward to what we can do with the budget system.  Cool

v12.0.45 crashed all my MNs every two days. Still can't find the problem. Very frustrating. Since 8 days without any payment for all my  MNs.
"crashed" - daemon (process) died or you mn just dropped out of list?
If it actually died - what your vps specs are?

all daemons on my digital ocean droplet (Ubuntu 14.04) died, masternode debug can't find coin, need to restart from hot wallet. Then qt-wallet on my Debian machine where I host my hot wallet hang on the "Synchronizing budgets... 100%" msg, can't even click on anything. Twice the whole Debian machine crashed with the wallet together.

Never seen an update like that. If you're interested I could try to send you the debug.log.

Thanks in advance.

That's weird... mine are on DO too and they feel fine.

Checklist:
- "txindex=1" in dash.conf
- 1 run with -reindex after that ^^^
- start-many/alias from local after reindex is finished
- "masternode debug" on remote should give you "Masternode successfully started", if it's not try this https://dashtalk.org/threads/v12-release.5888/page-15#post-63716

debug file too large?

try
dashd --shrinkdebugfile

maybe??

I just check, debug.log is around 36MB, I don't think it's too large and I still have >10GB free on space.
But I will try your suggestion, thanks.

Last log from debug.log, remote daemon crashed every hour now with the txindex=1
Code:
2015-08-18 20:39:55 CBudgetManager::Sync - sent 0 items
2015-08-18 20:39:55 CBudgetManager::Sync - sent 0 items
2015-08-18 20:39:55 mnvs - Sent Masternode votes to 77.64.253.82:27785
2015-08-18 20:40:17 Verifying mncache.dat format...

Anyone has a stable MN config (local + remote) for v12.45 could share it here ? Thanks in advance.

PS: qt-wallet on local machine hangs again at "Synchronizing budgets 100%". debug.log shows the last log line:  ( What I mean with 'wallet hangs' is I can't click or close it anymore, need to kill it with kill -9 or even restart the machine)
Code:
CMasternodeSync::GetNextAsset - Sync has finished.
CActiveMasternode::ManageStatus - Checking inbound connection to 'xxx'
Evan do you have any idea ? It happened almost 50% everytime I started the qt-wallet.

Guys get over with this. Vertoe has scammed many of us, and he gone already. Let's this coin die peacefully. Twice scam attempts for 1 coin, it's not more than enough ?

The reality about altcoin competition

You know what, thinking about it,  I feel antagonizing with another project and tying your success or failure to what happens to a different project is deep down just an excuse to ignore the fact that no altcoin project is close to getting any meaningful adoption yet. Is easier to go to coinmarketcap.com as a measure of success and say we are in X place and we just went pass Y project.  How does that matter?  It does not, is just an excuse because the reality is no altcoin project is known in the real world in any substantial way and that is the real challenge for people that will never participate in crypto forums or invest in altcoin projects to at least know about other alternatives to BTC.

We should measure our success in that direction.  Measure public awareness, adoption, accessibility to coins, partnerships and integration to services. Every 6 month or so we should ask ourselves:

1) Is public awareness of our project increasing? Are people more informed and understand better what we are doing?  Do they know us more outside of the crypto circles?

2) Is adoption increasing? Are there more services and ways to use Dash for end users?

4) Are our added value features more robust and easy to use than they were 6 months ago?

5) Is it easier to buy coins with FIAT? Are there more vehicles for the public to get access to coins if they wanted to buy some?

We should revise progress on these questions every few months and our actions and energy should be directed to improving those performance indicators.  Everything else and all the forum interaction between different altcoin camps is just a distraction and a big waste of time. This applies to all coins, it would be much more productive if we all faced reality and measure success in a way that matters instead of hiding behind coinmarketcap rankings that at this point in time mean nothing to any project other than Bitcoin.

Keep it real.

It's one of the best posts I ever read in years. Thanks for sharing your opinion. I wonder how many people will open their eyes if they could read this post.

Dear BURST fellows,

I have followed this coin for months and want it to success. But no real development for months and the price crashed like no tomorrow. Dcct, the one who has many contributors to BURST has left this coin and joins LIMX (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=895425.new#new). It really makes me to dump my BURST and buy LIMX. What do u guys think ?

Thanks in advance.

bitfinex never had the intention to rebrand DASH. They just trolled DASH.
That was a red flag for me and I suppose for others too.
Low volume bitfinex??You asked for it.

https://twitter.com/bitfinex/status/598553421877157890

I would not call this low volume,

2. Bitfinex

#   Currency   Pair   Volume (24h)   Price   Volume (%)
1    Bitcoin    BTC/USD    $ 3,021,340    $ 279.11    71.08 %
2    Litecoin    LTC/USD    $ 1,070,750    $ 4.18    25.19 %
3    Litecoin    LTC/BTC    $ 91,043    $ 4.18    2.14 %
4    Dash    DASH/BTC    $ 38,470    $ 3.31    0.91 %
5    Tether    USDT/USD    $ 19,820    $ 1.00    0.47 %
6    Dash    DASH/USD    $ 9,132    $ 3.38    0.21 %

Total   $ 4,250,556

They are comparing no margin trading of DASH with 20x leverage from BTC and LTC. Well, time to get out of this shitty exchange. Too many signs recently.
112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Slimcoin - Official thread - First Proof of Burn cryptocurrency on: August 03, 2015, 10:36:05 AM
Good job, d5000. Unfortunately none of us is capable of continuing to develop this coin. The idea is great, but the implementation is just terrible.
113  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] CLOUDMINR on: July 28, 2015, 09:23:31 AM
Well, I'm really wondering how naive some people can be.
Everybody is just sitting here, crying about their losses and not doing anything about it?
Why not contact P4ndoraBox7 who was claiming to have been in communication with "Adrian" while everybody else was complaining that "Adrian" and/or cloudminr.io didn't respond?`And why was Martial, err,  P4ndoraBox7, just selling his hash before cloudminr.io closed down? He can be found easily and I think he's got something to explain....

What about the Russian crackhead  "galdur" who seems a pro in defending scammers?

Just read through the whole thread and look at who's promoting the scam... then check what else they have promoted in the past... enlightening...

I must agree with your analysis. But look at this thread? Just count how many people who don't care about anyone's shit? They are just enjoying their refs money too. They don't give a shit that their referrals lost money. They came to defend every ponzi when it was still hot, then silent when it went down. Look at twitter, how many tweets are there to promote the refs ? Facebook too. Look overall, all people with the dollar sign in their eyes, all about greed. Well it's a sad state of current crypto Smiley.

interesting Coin, looks like a real dev with intention to stay with the coin.

Yeah, trying to buy the dips now. The order book looks very healthy.
115  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] CLOUDMINR on: July 27, 2015, 09:34:09 AM
Today is three weeks since the cloudminr owners advised that the servers will be rebuilt. That was also their last communication to us before they deleted all their tweets and evidence everywhere. As the domain is still in suspended state and still no communication from any of them, I will now move on from there and wish them all the best for the future: karma, pain, hell, suffering comes to mind.

I doubt that these scammers will feel anything. They are just enjoying our money now Wink
And do you know what would they do ? They will make another ponzi site. Too easy money. Except something like this would happen to them:
http://www.coindesk.com/police-arrest-20-in-digital-currency-pyramid-scheme/

Well it's not easy to get away or stay complete anon since they have build a website like that, the important thing is how many people will file a complain ?
116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Scrypt.CC | Scrypt Cloud Mining on: July 20, 2015, 02:11:57 PM
I do not trust anymore , not investing more in scryptcc. I only invest to registered companies.

why you think they are less likely to fuck you over ?

Because when you pay with visa you can get back money in 180 period. Do you understand ?!!!!

Can you tell us more about the scam you're promoting in your signature now? Here's a hint, ANYONE can sign up to take credit card payments. Most of them will send you a free card reader if you ask. Maybe you'll wake up and quit bouncing from one cloud scam to the next and invest in something legit... high ROI and an affiliate program means ponzi. And with regards to mining, this is an absolute truth. Mining margins are what they are and creative websites can't change that.

You do not know what you are talking about...

Hashflare is legit Huh? LOLOL ROFL.

They are descendants of cointellect, even the layout is almost the same. Your goal is only to promote your referals, nothing else, boy.

As usual, everything's slow at Microland. You should give them at least 5 months.
118  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] CLOUDMINR on: July 13, 2015, 02:03:28 PM
These low lifes. Pretend to be hacked now selling users data for extra money. Speechless.

Btw, Ritch, stop bagging about your win with ponzis while everyone else losing money, it's quite rude IMHO. You could brag forever for your % increase, but the margin is more important Wink. No one cares when you made merely 1 BTC with ponzis Wink

So you're the one who invested 260 BTC in this ponzi ?
Sorry for your lost.

You should be hurry since they (or the hacker) deleting the posts here at high speed now. Soon there will be nothing to see here.

Except the qoutes stay online....

They are just stupid if they're trying to hide this scam through deleting their posts and tweets. I still can't tell whether it's the work of hackers or themself, to be honest.
