nope, but i honestly dont know what else to go mine anymore

britcoin is profitable right now, 0.03 a day with 6x 750ti

first rule here: always mine new coins, old coins are doomed to be not profitable

i've already made roi with my 6 x 750ti lmao, took me only two weeks, too easy

I was naive at first when I joined crypto and I got this number too, but it only works if you have a low number of rigs. So you could join the instamine party and dumped whatever coin for some high price because in the end you can only dump a little amount of coin.
Don' think this strategy works if you expand your farm and want to earn big money. In my experience, your farm grows with your ROI time, unfortunately.  Wink

my 780 hit ROI pretty quick thanks to maxcoin
Because ive been sitting on older coins my 750Ti's still havent hit ROI in over 2 months now, plus to get those i had to buy £300 worth of PSU's sooo its going to be a while till they have cost me nothing. Its all down to luck, and Amph seems to have a lot of it!

the only thing is that right now, Britcoin is calculating to be more along the lines of 0.005btc thats with 9.5MH/s, or just under 5 x 750Ti's

Britcoin ? Another country coin. People still believe in shit like that ? Crazy. Thanks for the tips but I'm passed.

with great risk comes great reward.

but also keep in mind that btc jumped back to~650ISH from mid/high 500's. people pulling from altcoin market to play btc.

Did you vote https://www.mintpal.com/voting

2 more and we are at 100

It looks like we have another NIST5 coin:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=673524.0

At least the sayd "Introduced by Talkcoin" not bad, I think is good for Talkcoin, NIST5 need to be more popular Smiley
Good news!
Nist5 to the moon!!

This growth is healthy IMHO. Not pump & dump coin. Hashrate constant around 20ghs which around 7ghs X11. Not bad consider TAC is a new coin.
Yeah, let's the clones spread the name of Talkcoin much further. Like DRK stays at the top of X11 coins, TAC will stay at the top of NIST5 coins. TAC has the same innovation like DRK, even without the instamine bug of DRK. So it is a lot of good things to say about TAC while I can't think of many negative things.
Right now DRK's having difficulty with the pool and MN enforcement problem, but others anon clone coins is having even more trouble if you look at the charts (Vericoin just finishes his pump phase, glad I didn't get into this pump). DRK will come back stronger because people believe in its fundamentals. And we have the same fundamentals with TAC. Right now enjoy the cheap price and good distribution of TACs.
Talkteam will announce huge updates coming in 2 weeks soon. Let's see.  Wink

hi everyone, i didnt find much information on the tac website, so i wanted to ask it here:

1.
Who are the devs and how much people are working on this project?

2.
Is voice communication possible in the future?

thanks for your time Smiley

Hi criptix,

1. Who are the devs and how much people are working on this project?

There are 3 of us working on the project right now, our founding Talkcoin dev, myself and djm34 working on the new GUI.  Talkoin dev is a heavyweight software eng with penchant for crypto and complex problem solving, i'm CTO in tech startups with last 5 years in p2p communications projects in EU/China and interest is growing disruptive technologies, we are both from Europe.  djm34 is helping us and is an awesome coder who optimized our NIST5 miner.

2. Is voice communication possible in the future?

Yes, VOIP and video streaming are possible, several ways but one way could be using private messages via the block chain to setup the call, then direct encrypted point-to-point between the wallet's current IP's for VOIP or video stream between the 2.  We would need to add a video/audio streaming client to the wallet but there are several open source routes to fast-track that.

Example (just basic concept)

In this case, knowledge of the call setup would be private between the 2 wallets, and the point to point stream would be encrypted using a codec and the wallet keys. So quite secure because the call content is encrypted and non-persistent and the block chain only contains the call metadata which is encrypted.  There are more complex versions for multi-party streaming using multi-sig encryption with more nodes in the call.   The difference with e.g. Skype would be that Skype and their friends can access or kill any Skype call and it's closed source and trust based.

Juan Galt from TheCoinFront.com mentioned an idea from Ethan at CoinCulture.info about an alternative to proof of work where wallets running as TOR nodes gain income from proof of bandwidth supporting the TOR network, this could be an option for multip-party chat on Talkcoin or 1-many pure p2p streaming where nodes were rewarded for supporting p2p streaming bandwith.

These are just rough ideas, not scheduled development or any kind of announcement.  Our focus is just implementing secure anonymous text messaging right now and we are close to that. I am just sharing ideas of possible future directions for Talkcoin to see what the community thinks.

Great to see Talkteam more active. We need this for newcomers to have better confidence with Talkcoin.
Ignition75 and I will discuss to get a PR/Marketing member for the team. Let's us know what do you think.
1106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Slimcoin : Proof of Burn NEW BLOCK GEN, Mineable by low power computer! on: July 01, 2014, 07:01:30 PM
A quick reminder for sellers active on bter, i'll take the last transactions as an example -  270SLM - 0.06BTC

270SLM now is more than 30 PoW blocks. Yes, 30. or 15 PoB blocks. $38 ? Really ? Good luck mining 30 PoW blocks for $38, electricity alone will cost more..

Great post and calculation primer-.
Right now SLM's profit is lower than Cryptonote coins given current diff and price, but I think some big miners still got PoB blocks and PoS blocks beside the PoW block, so the profit is consider on the same level with cryptonote coins. So dumping is obvious.
1107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TAC] TalkCoin | First Anonymous Chat | First NIST5 | Vote/No Premine on: June 29, 2014, 06:24:36 AM

The problem is playing that game is doing nothing but discouraging miners. You guys already have yours, so your fine seeing less than .015 BTC/100mhs....sure its great thinking "long term" but people at least need to make enough and a little more just to cover costs of running...right now that is not even close. It cost me 300 a month extra to run the GPUs, at the current prices I would be mining at a loss, which I am able to eat for short term. Most can not wait months on end for something that "might" happen.

I understand all the wanting of lower block rewards too... on the other hand, the price has done nothing to reflect the lower rewards.

Yes, I am going across the current here, but if you step back and take a look back in, you could see how and why a new miner would pass this coin up. Right now its only the bag holders that are sitting pretty... we need more than just a lower block reward with "promises" of great things later or this coin will die a very slow death.
I agree 100%, lowering the reward doesn't make the coin more valuable, it just make the coin unprofitable, and it is bit taking traders for more stupid than they are. They know the vote can be changed, why would they  buy higher just because some people change the vote (knowing that there is even in the bag holders lots of weak hand... and impatient holders, lowering the reward is even a sign of impatience, it means "I want to sell now (but I will try some funny manipulation of the market before  Grin... except everybody saw you  Grin)".

The coin needs to be widely used and have a higher demand before the voting can have an action on market price.
Trying to go too fast, will just hurt yourself (if it is unprofitable for me, it is certainly unprofitable for you... or worst you are just sitting on your big pile of tac mining other coins (basically you are not helping securing the network, and worst you are making a vote which discourage other from doing so... ) so technically low reward vote at the moment, is a vote against the coin itself.

It is pitty that some don't understand that.
I mean you can make up at home your own pile of money with your printer, but unless others use it, it has no value. so if you don't want to distribute it and just sell it as real money... it won't work for obvious reason  Grin and it won't acquire magically any value  Grin

Many thanks to djm34 and BrewCrewFan for explaining my thoughts in a better way so many could understand. This is exactly what I'm trying for weeks to explain why we need higher block rewards now. I vote 50 TAC for the block reward everytime I could but apparently a lot of screaming kids on the public chat room have voted for 1 TAC, so it's futile if only me understand this logic.

Everytime the block reward goes down, the hashrate drops and the price drops too. For me I have got enough TACs so I don't care about getting more TAC now. Right now I'm still mining TAC with a loss to keep the network healthy and to support TAC, but no way the new miners or season miners would the same like me. If everyone remembers atleticofa he's the loudest supporter of TAC from the beginning and now we don't see him anywhere. Somehow he's got frustrated like me and go to other coins.

If you really care for TAC, search for all my posts in this thread and vote 50 TAC for the next block reward.

Regards,

Aizen

Could the mod please delete Jacques de Molay's post ? Seriously? I don't know you guys are nemesis or what but it's really unacceptable.
1109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DRK] DarkCoin | First Anonymous Coin | First X11 | First DGW | Fork for Masternode Payment on: June 28, 2014, 07:09:00 PM
Respectable master(node) owner urgently looking for hard-working servant (village idiot) please apply within. No wips have ever been used on the slaves only prober rude treatment to let em know who is master

This system is so badly flawed its not funny.
Having one single note running is like solo mining and others with 50 or more notes sit in a massive pool and take the cream of the top
Back in the instamine days the reward for miners was 100% payout of the 500, now the miners get 80% of the left over scrap 5

Look, we need masternodes to process/mix transactions.  We need them to be expensive so that controlling the network is financially unfeasible.  We need people to put up masternodes, but they won't stick their money in an unmovable place without a reward.  We can't just increase the reward, because that would put the coin out of wack.

Ultimately, the true VALUE of the coin is in the services it can provide, which are the same as Bitcoin, but with complete privacy in a secure, decentralized fashion.

If mining profitability is too low, people will move on to another coin.
If there are too many masternodes, so the rewards are too few, people will close them and use/sell their coin.
eventually, we should find our balance.

If you don't see value in the masternodes and don't want to "share" your mining rewards, that's fine, you can mine another coin and sell it for dark, or keep it.  But those are the reasons for why things are being done the way they are.  There are many choices out there for other coins.

Anyway, we have to move beyond what is "fair" as some see it, to what will work, proper incentives, etc....  Yes, some people have a lot of money, they are rich, some don't, they are poor.  I'm in the 2nd group since I left my job due to illness.  But it's those that are wealthy and willing to put their wealth behind this coin so it can work that I thank, because ultimately, the coin will become more valuable and I will benefit.  I don't have money to buy better mining equipment (I bought an antminer when I first jumped in here 6 months ago, and it will never ever make enough bitcoin to pay for itself, LOL)  There is too much mining pressure for bitcoin and for Darkcoin to make them profitable yet people still mine.

I really don't know what to say to your comment.  I've invested in a 3 year contract with amazon and pay about $9 a month in fees ea for my masternodes.  Kind of similar to paying for electricity.  I also mine on and off with my computers because they're on anyway.  I don't think we'll be short of miners any time soon.

So if you think about your comment, it really ends up sounding whiny and immature.

This network of masternodes is not decentralized.  You have people running numerous masternodes and then you have the majority of masternodes hosted in the same place.  What percent of the users actually have or will have masternodes?  1%?  .01%?  .001%?  Whenever you have a fraction controlling a majority it is not decentralized.

Sorry but according to your logic then BTC is not decentralized too. Why do you still invest in BTC anyway ?
1110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TAC] TalkCoin | First Anonymous Chat | First NIST5 | Vote/No Premine on: June 28, 2014, 12:57:37 PM
TAC Chat is still 1 TAC?

You guys finally understand that block reward is not related with price in short term, ok ?

You're not too bright huh? Why would you want millions of TAC coins created a week with a high reward? You actually think people will keep holding the millions of coins created weekly or would they dump some lowering the price?

or would you rather have low rewards with a few TAC's being created to atleast stop some selling?

For disclaimer, I bet 1k TAC that I hold more TAC than you, ok?
Personally I of course prefer higher TAC price but we are not at this stage now. For distribution phase we need cheap TAC for a lot of people to mine and trade TAC than everyone holding TAC right now.

Ok I give up explaining my logic. Maybe it sounds wrong for you. But the price of TAC always reflects my prediction.

I know this is you... I can feel it... ThMP1xcfDGcp4upL4CGXZL7uS2MPcdoLHg

So it is you then, my friend? Wink
http://talk.cryptocoinunion.com/address.asp?address=TijQRLxXQWMXrdoRNo8bCaBE5XfcNmnWoo

Btw it is not my address  Grin and our explorer at cryptocoinunion stops working so I don't know who is the biggest whale now.
It's pretty easy to manipulate TAC price now. e.g. you put a big buy order at around 5k sat and wait for some impatient miners / holders to dump to your wall. Then set a few small sell orders at 6k range and some buyers will buy it. Instantly 20% profit and it's been happened for weeks already. If everyone holds and whales play with the market, the price can't rise, whatever the block reward is.

I wish the dev were more active so we can discuss which plan is the best for the future of TAC.

Harkfork at block 230000. So 7 days more with 1 TAC per chat Wink.

My first Github resp ... based on sgminer5 pre-release (https://github.com/sgminer-dev/sgminer/tree/v5_0)

So i guess it must be able to compile and run in linux ... works better on 14.6 driver

Made some improvements based on girino version so it should be slightly faster than the official miner

Didn't test much but with a R9 270X on 14.6 driver i got around 1.7MH/s (1100/1400)

Windows binary :

270X binary if you don't have 14.6 driver
https://mega.co.nz/#!VE9mWRCK!LnH07CU15FKEgEXaOXsh7C5YC4Ih1vwJitXiBgRSRV4

I got this when compiling in Linux:
sgminer-algorithm.o:(.data+0x9e0): undefined reference to `bitblock_regenhash'

Any idea?
Thanks

Bump. Anyone could compile in Linux ?

Did anyone receive any payouts from https://slm.blockquarry.com ?
I have - threshold is set at 1SLM, last payment was about 2 hours ago for 0.995439 SLM.

We need more hash power at slm.blockquarry.com - we are getting more blocks than slimcoinpool with LESS hash

I just tried to withdraw the remaining 148SLM - did not work. Who runs this shit pool anyway ?
Your mood swings are awesome Smiley

It's run by Cheeto, but you could try paging pinwc4

My mood swings are caused by fucking scammers.. missing couple hundred SLM, moving hash back to sandors pool....

I remember you called sandors pool like shit a few days ago. Dude how old are you anyway ?  Grin I though people get Alzheimer only after 60 years old ?
Btw considering you called blockquarry pool scammers, they have a few others pools as well. I have had some problems with their payment but they are not scammers.

I saw their twitter too but SLM is still no where to see in deposits site. Anyone could able to trade SLM at BTER now ?

Did this happen before with Christian?
Stop this guys, this just makes us look greedy in tsiv's eyes. He will opensource this miner when he thinks it's ready. In the meantime, we still have a lot of others coins to mine.  Cool

EDIT: holy cow. He publishes it 3 seconds before my post. You see? LOL

At what price?
I'll sell you some SLM for 0.89mBTC each. (via escrow of course)

LOL you don't know primer- ? obviously he's joking. I think he's one of the biggest SLM holders out there and he will happily sell you SLM with your price Wink
