can someone explain where all this downward price pressure is coming from?

It is no premine, so what is it? instamine, or too high block reward?

Same person or group, buy and sell their own talk all the time. In between, the miners without patience .... Multipool cancer is also

Nice observation. Check my analysis here.

How does it work ? (when it works)
does the bar accept bitcoin ?

you walk to the cash register, the cashier types in the amount on  some touch LCD screen, you scan the resulting QR code and confirm the payment on your mobile device.

And when it doesn't work, you either  shell out some hard cash or get to wash the dishes Wink

Christian

You got a bar in Munich which accepts BTC? Cool. What's the name of this bar? I will try this too.

Btw is it known what are the next steps for TAC ? Like a road map etc ?

Stay tune. We're working on it right now. Still a few minor things to discuss.

Hey talkers!

I definitely just bought a bunch of talkcoins. I unfortunately bought some at 11k sats so I am bagholding a little bit but I just bought a bunch more to even out my buy in average, this coin looks good, it has potential to do like vericoin.

Fair distribution, no premine or ipo scam, lots of people like it, new mining algorithm, already being copied by a bunch of others...

There is absolutely NOTHING about this coin that does not scream WINNER

If this coin does not 10x within a few weeks, I will quit the crypto scene because I am 99% sure on this one. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone knew what the cause for the low price is? Are miners dumping or something?

What is the current block reward, and how many blocks are being generated par day?
Can someone briefly explain the block reward reduction? ex. is it egalitarian like cryptonote coins or does if halve periodically like most other coins?

thanks! I look forward to making a bunch of btc with you guys!

btw if anyone wants to hit me up in the trollbox my username is lever_p928 I help people with cryptonote and CLI monero wallets

Consider Talkcoin will go up 10x within a few weeks, I think 11k sat is still a bargain, don't you think? Wink
20s block so 3 blocks per minute. 4320 blocks per day.
Block reward was decided by users. We vote every 3 days for a new block reward and block reward will change 10% higher or lower depend on the total votes.
Is my explanation enough for you ?

Regards,

Aizen
PS: Wait for the huge announcements from us next week.  Wink

thanks, what is the block reward?

Current block reward is 29.5 TAC. So the next block reward would be 26.5 TAC or 32.5 TAC depends on voters votes high or low.

I need settings for r9 280x using djm34 release. Please include memclock and engine... i need dat 12 Mh/s per 280x  Angry

Actually you only need the right intensity. IMPORTANT is update your AMD driver to 14.6 beta, or get the bin files being created with 14.6 drivers, otherwise you won't get this speed.

i concur.  this is getting ridiculous.  its actually been ridiculous for awhile now.  this should not be a "troll box".  wow.  i keep lurking to see if there is any useful informatio and maybe useful educated information.... but its not happening. just a complete lack of respect and intelligence. is the darkcoin forum moderated for abusive behavior?

No, it's an unmoderated forum thread.

Look, at this time, Evan is reworking a section of the code to make enforcement of Masternode payments work without a hitch.  He's fast, and I'll bet he finishes it in the next two weeks.  In fact, I'm going to go set up my computers to get them mining on the testnet so I'm ready when he starts testing.  He saw a way to simplify the voting/enforcement from another direction that won't cause forks and he simply needs a bit of time to code it.  He's fixed many things in the past because they didn't work well, like KGW, he just started from scratch and created DGW 1.0 then 2.0 because it wasn't good enough.  He reworks things when they're not good enough, and this wasn't good enough! He always thinks outside the box, which is what I find most amazing about him!  Evan is truly an exceptional human being.

Well, anyway.  When testnet starts up, I think the excitement will build again because the community gets to see things happen that way.  They have something to participate in, even if they're not running anything, they can follow along and it's exciting.  I think that will go a long way toward giving DRK a shot in the arm Smiley  Hopefully that will be soon Smiley
+1 voice of reason in a sea of confusion.

+1 yeah. The funny thing is it already happened before and people are always panic like last time.
1068  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]|Chatcoin|NIST5|Chat in Wallet|No premine|P2P Private Chat|No vote on: July 03, 2014, 11:47:01 AM
Ok I'm not in the mood to laugh again so some technical questions:

Quote
Fees: 0.5 CHAT per message or 1 CHAT per bold message. Fees never changed to avoid garbage.

1. Where do the fees go ? In Talkcoin the fees was transfer to the address of the genesis block, which means is destroyed forever. So that's the reason why Talkcoin has no hard cap on the total number of coin because the more people use TAC for talking, the more TAC would get destroyed. In Chatcoin the fees go back to the dev ?
2. Assume that the fees are not going back to the dev and destroyed like Talkcoin, then what happens after all the Chatcoin was mined and people use all of Chatcoin in circulation for chatting? So Chatcoin is dead or what ? No more coin to create and there no coin to use. What would we do with the wallet then ?

Thanks in advance.

1,The wallet is based on the earlier version of Talkcoin. We will change this if necessary. Thanks for Talkcoin again.
2,After we finish bitmessage protocol integration, The chatting will be independent of blocks. No coin is needed for chat, even if you have zero Chatcoin in your wallet...

Thanks for the answer. That would be a problem I think. If the chat is free then what's the point of creating Chatcoin?
Let's assume I was an investor and want to invest in Chatcoin, tell me why should I buy Chatcoin and for what ?
Other coins even BTC are competitive to get merchants acceptance and this is the only valid reason to spend the coin.
I think Talkcoin has found another niche in which we can use and spend the coin for something else useful without directly competitive with others.

I am considering fork the wallet chat to be an P2P advertisement platform: You send a message to the blocks with an ad png or flash url , The wallet show it to all chatcoin holders. Frankly, Compared to cloneing TALKCOIN, Integration of bitmessage and fork wallet chat to ad display may be a not easy project for us.

That's already been done by Talkcoin, only without the image. We have plans to include it in the future. It seems you have the same ideas like us.
But if you won't find a reason for users to use the wallet, the ads would be pointless too because nobody reads it.
Seems you're good at it. I wonder why don't you join the Talkteam instead of creating a new coin ?

that's not difficult... the other is just a scam (the thread is hilarious though, with people counting already their profit from a coin which hasn't been released yet )

Yeah a scam with Bittrex's support and CoinSource's media attention. I wonder how much BTC do they need to bribe the others.

At least a NIST5 coin looks better.
I'm sick with the Icebergcoin's 19.2% premine.

Thanks for making Talkcoin more famous. Btw price for chat in Talkcoin is not 1 TAC anymore. It's 0.1TAC from block 230000. Could you change your OP ? Thanks.

so dev want 96 BTC for copy/paste NIST and POS ?

Why do you say that its a copy/paste coin??

Is Doge a copy/paste coin of Litecoin for using scrypt???

It is implementing the algo NIST5, as it is one of the most energy efficient, whats the problrm about this?

The code have been writted from the begining by our programmer. We took the algo from Talkcoin, and also other good parts of other coins. So it is not a copy paste, you will be able to see by yourself checking the source, at the launch.

DOGE didn't ask for 96 BTC before launch, using a premine
Litecoin is also copy/paste, not even the first scrypt, also didn't ask for 96BTC before launch

LOL Image the selling pressure from 96BTC ICO plus from the miners together. I can only image a Everest of selling orders.  Grin

You are part of Talkcoin team, and you are working for marketing, promoting, develop. I understand that, it's your job be here. But
criticizing others does not make talkcoin better. I told you this as a talkcoins holder.

I even wish them luck and want them to success before because I believe more coins use Talkcoin's innovation will make Talkcoin even more famous. But after seeing the 19.2% premine, I just feel sorry for investors who buy that.

That's your opinion, I will buy, and I will sell it 3 times more expensive soon. Come back in one month, and you will see who was right.

Yeah good luck.  Wink. And you should come back to Talkcoin in one month too  Grin

Doge is of course a clone and a joke. Most of Doge users accept this fact. But DOGE is fun and NO PREMINE.
Maybe a good thing if you success. You could create a new trend. The 50% Air drop premine of country coins is over and now the newest trend is premine 20% and cooperate with exchange to do ICO. You must have a lot of contacts in crypto world to have Bittrex and CoinSource on your side.
Ok, devs and exchange win, who cares about users. I might shut my mouth.

Why are you atacking this coin, before seeing the launching, development, etc??

As I see, the Dev have done a good work. Just see the main post.

There will be time to complain if you don't like anything.

But first, give it a try, right?

Ok you will buy a lot of ICO from this huge 19.2% premine then I guess. Good luck with this.
