Guys, I've been looking through this thread but I was unable to find the steps to compile the optimised miner... I'm on PiMP currently. I gave it a go myself but it didn't work properly and the nist5 kernel doesn't load. Would a nice and sympathetic soul be willing to spell out the steps for me please?  PM me if you need help. some huge marketing company, please! it is much more important than things like "new gui". noone needs gui... Look at some really high valued coins. Noone had supercool GUI and won the prize because of that GUI. High price, attention, nethash are not about GUI. People like anon. People like steady block reward and hyped coins. So bring at least some marketing to make the hype. It will be steady healthy growing hype, since it's not pump-n-dumb coin. This coin being developed all the time. Just bring people.
I remember, when we showed up at Sharecoinx thread, it brought TAC like 10x nethash and attention, just like that(shitty new hyped exchange, that turned out to be scam later). After month of solomining, even without pools.
When we showed up at bittrex, dif and price growed a lot.
I believe in this coin and I want it to success. Mining from start, huge bag, I didn't dump at over 10k sat price, I believe it will worth much more.
No it's not like you think. Our potential target group is not only people in crypto, but normal internet user. Our user not only uses the wallet to send/receive coin, but keeps using the wallet as a means to secure and decentralized communicate between each others. So a modern and easy to use GUI is necessary for normal users to engage to use the wallet. Thanks for supporting us and keeping faith in us. We will continue to work hard for users like you. Most of people in crypto are just for quick buck, no one wants to wait a few months. Look at the mighty DRK, even it can't avoid a big pump & dump. TAC is still very new, so it needs time to grow.
Look at the recent NIST5 coin pump (N5Coin), the current price is around 20k sat while the block reward is 100 coins / minute (more than TAC with average 70 coins / minute).
If you ask me why people are willing to pay for that price I will ask you how much the price of this coin do you predict 2 weeks later ? Look at any coin with quick PoW period and PoS feature, which coin doesn't have the same pattern ?
We are so busy that we couldn't explain further about the advantage of each Release Candidate. After RC2 and RC3 we are confident to tell that Talkcoin is the first App coin which could boost the usage of the wallet to the mass more than any coin. People will engage to spend TAC to communicate using the wallet and Talkcoin will reach more people, even for people not in crypto.
Invest your time and money in what fundamentals and useful is, like Darkcoin. If you don't like that and want to get quick fast, Talkcoin is not the right coin for you right now.

In djm34's variant you get 13mh/s with 280x and also shows temperature and fan speed. But you should search for it in Talkcoin thread.
Are them the same temps, or bit higher than with with nist5 miner? Temps are higher, but jump in hashrate from 5.2mh/s from 13mh/s is definitely worth it. Everything this coin uses for advertising is not accurate. The temperature from NIST5 is not lower than X11 coins if you use the optimized miner. They advertise as the first NIST5 PoW/PoS coin and don't deliver the wallet, while another coin with the same feature launched already https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=684024.0Now the only thing to do is cloning the source from another coin and get the ICO from Bittrex. 30BTC is too much for 1 week planning and almost no coding. Ignore the hashrates.. they are wrong. The share counts are what matter. Also, the share counts are based on the sum of the total difficulty of all submitted actual shares, rather than the *number* of submitted shares. The difficulty of a share is checked server-side, by the hashing algorithms, to ensure that it is below the required target - so this cannot be faked. Yep. It's obviously wrong. Total hashrate is 50Ghs, how can one guy have all of this power. This number is the sum of total hashrate over 10 min at least. |

no active dev, risky coin, I dont want to waste my coins again like juggalo because of lost dev. I cant decide to mine jpc or this coin...
you obviously don't know who is our dev? "Deepcoinbiz" ?  It's bushstar, developer from Feathercoin. I didnt see in this topic.. If nobody updates first page, the coin cant be popular and die by short time in my opinion.. I missed jpc, maybe mining this coin when its not popular as right now is good... but if no dev around, it could be waste of time and miss other coins... I wish dev would be active in topic... He seems to be busy with his first child Feathercoin. I don't think he abandons his child to concentrate on the new one. Maybe a side project from him. But this coin's interesting, let's see. |

When does the IPO end on bittrex?
Mining phase will start when ICO is closed,that will be about 12 July,we will concrete the time soon.
ICO will never close at that date. There are already people selling. 1BTC of sell orders below the ICO price. Nobody is buying. I hope they will do the smart thing and think about the IPO investors and remove those 885,000 coins that weren't sold. This will drop the markcap by $44K and will put it with a marketcap of $270K (what is still extermly high) but at least it is almost 15% better for the IPO investors. Otherwise i will see this one even moving lower and lower. Remember MIL  So if DEV cares about his investors then he remove those 885,000 coins and destroy it. Where are the most loudest supporters now? dare88, atleticofa ? I try to warn people before but they call me hater, fuder. Now I have given up and grab my popcorn, watching the show. It's hilarious. As i said, if DEV cares about his investors then he would remove those 885,000 coins (he already made a nice amount of money, so he don't need to complain), even decrease the total number of coins by another 1,000,000 so that you have a nice marketcap, a marketcap that give IPO investors something in return. If you already have to double your money at a marketcap of $312,500 then already a lot needs to happen, if you have a marketcap of $150,000 what already seems to be a high standard for the latest conis then IPO investors have the possibility to take a profit of 100% or so. I don't think he will care. When you put 96 BTC as a goal and you got 25BTC, 200% more than you expected, why should you ? The last thing to do is deliver the wallet and gets the paid BTC from bittrex. 15000 USD for 2-3 weeks work and no need to pay tax, more than Facebook and Google's engineers. I call this a dream land for developers. |

That's the thing about open source. The original don't always work out to be better than other coin which uses its feature. Because other coin got its own feature on top of talkcoin feature. If u compare Navajo with talkcoin right now , i would say Navajo is better than talkcoin because it has what talkcoin has on top of it's own feature.
Talkcoin need new innovation feature to keep up.
New user would rather investor and use Navajo instead of talk coin simply because it got more to offer.
I don't compare apple with orange. Navajocoin is a rebranding from Summercoin which over 3 months old and more than 20 mil coins available for trading. What they announce in the rebranding thread are all promises and they even got the funds to do that. We only announce something if we're confident that we can accomplish that, not showing a promise and getting the coin pump. What i am trying to point out is coin need constant innovation and feature to keep it going and compete for investor with other coins. When coin got nothing new to offer for too long , it just die off. Talk coin is half way through. I just want to point that out although it's obvious. We know that. What we want to say that innovations should be realisable, not some fancy roadmaps as a promise. Thanks for your support and we won't let you down. Btw you know about Icebergcoin ? What does it offer except the PoS features which obviously questionable and the huge premine ? But a lot of Talkcoin investors dumped TAC and go to Icebergcoin. Because new coin got much more "upwards" potential than old coin. The "upwards" potential is the initial pump , after that it will die down. Whether it survive after initial pump depend on continuous innovation. That is what i observe from close to 100 coins. The statistic is real and u can pull out any coin that is more than 3 months old (starting when its listed on exchange, it doesnt count when there its not listed on popular exchange). Most people want to make quick buck. That's why many like to buy new coin and hope they can get out before they get burn. It sort of like gambling. Exactly. Even most innovative coins like DRK couldn't avoid the dump because people in crypto are short-term oriented and they call DRK's development is "slow". |

Chinese miners computer poisoning, TAC stolen, it may have been sold yesterday  At least we have a reason for the unusual dump yesterday. Thanks for reporting. Talkcoin team grow with more members. Price tank. Correlation ? Maybe people are disappointed with talk coin development. Having fancy wallet don't help at this point. New feature is needed. Improvement on GUI now is a waste of developer time. Focus on new feature than GUI. If price remains too low and low volume for too long, it will get unlisted on exchange. I guess a week or 2 more at this price and volume will kill the coin.
The best PR and marketing tool u can use is new feature. New feature bring new user and investor into the system than trying to promote old stuff over and over again. Nobody like old news.
New feature can be change of coin specs. For example , nobody likes unlimited coin supply.
As new members to the team we need time to adapt with the core code because Talkcoin is not clone coin. Talkcoin dev has done a superb work by rewriting alot of core functions of bitcoin source code. Currently djm34 and I are working with the GUI and we are finish soon. New features have been decided and we are currently planning about the timescales. Talkteam will announce the new roadmap when it's finish. Btw concerning the price, remember that all alts go down these last days. Regards, I understand alts go down but there is a tipping point of going down to the path of no return. Getting unlisted on exchange could be one of them. Bittrex and polo remove coin from exchange very often (weekly). If talkcoin price and volume continue for a week or 2, it will get unlisted. New user and investor will only come when there is something new. When there isn't anything new for too long, coin get unlisted on exchange due to low volume. Continuous development of new feature is what makes a coin last. Timing of those development is also very importance. We understand and we are currently working hard for this. Btw if you're concern about the volume, Talkcoin's volume in Bittrex alone is more than 3BTC daily, even with the huge dump yesterday, which more than coin supply daily with current price. Guys, who's playing with the price? This dump it's too fishy to be normal. It's down to 1500 and probably it will hit 1000 tonight, if not before.
It's a nonsense for the original talk owners, it's a bargain for the ones that wants to buy them low, before a pump&dump action.
Whales? Congrats to the devs for the marketing strategy, it makes me think if someone got involved.
It seems like dumpers dumped TAC to join the ICO of Icebergcoin. After they realize that it's pure quick rich scam, they will come back. No one wants to sell TAC cheap. With only 3BTC TAC is back to 6000 sat. No one could avoid pump&dump schemes of big players, even the mighty DRK suffers from it. Remember TAC is still very young. |

EDIT: Its ok, dev confirmed that the fees will revert to 0.1 TAC when we reach block 241920 with the latest version. Hey man, that's not what I wrote in the chat. I don't do "WTF"s, dozens of exclamation marks and stuff like that so if you wan't to quote me do it properly. And if you want to transmit a message, use words in a sentence, don't just throw "Upgrade failed" in there like that is supposed to mean something. Just my 2 cents. nairotearP thanks for your support. We decide to shift the hardfork to block 241920 because some minor bugs with the new voting system which cause syncing problems for some users. So after block 241920 the new fees will be appiled. We are so busy with the next updates so the announcement is little short and confusing. Sorry for any convenience. |
