101  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: betting online cockfight has become the new pandemic on: November 22, 2021, 05:56:31 PM
I want to know if cockfighting is legal in the philippines? if not then the philippine government should close all gambling sites that provide cockfighting and fine the owner because it is very detrimental
It is legal and illegal, depends on the place and occasion. It's part of the country's culture that even exists since year 1500 and I don't thing banning it will be easyor possible. Big businesses are behind it.

Well, cockfighting is really addictive, even young ones enters and to bet in the locals.
Even before the online sabong (online live cockfighting) there is already live television for it other than the one in the locals but all of them are regulated.

As for the news, I don't think Cayetano will succeed to this, many big politicians (and big businessmen) are on this business so it wont work, though Cayetano's concern is somewhat right regardless his purpose of acting up to this.

A literally meaning of "In bitcoin we trust", trusting that bitcoin will only have one direction, to rise.

While this project really having huge risks, but this will cause huge benefits to them, investors, and to the whole bitcoin community. Wish them luck  Grin

[snip]
If no one tell them here that 1xbit is selective scamming users then they will not remove it on their website while they describe themselves as:
Our team makes sure to choose operators with premium reputations and years of experience in the business. You don’t have to worry about sensitive financial and private information because the casinos listed on our site apply all security measures to keep players safe.
Well this is true that they are selectively scamming their user as I saw in most complaints in scam accusation boards on even in the gambling section.
[...]
I am just a little confused about what you quoted above.
Check the bold phrase I just made in the quoted text from their about page. They're telling that their site (or casino) users should not be worried on the listed casinos on their site, yet they listed 1xbit  knowing that they were scamming their users, asking KYC (private information) and locking their accounts with balance on it (financial information).

Anyway, they removed it now just because some of the comments made here against 1xbit.
105  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can Regulate crypto currencies in present Time ? on: November 21, 2021, 06:50:34 PM
Meanwhile, DEX will be the next option for people when this worldwide CEX regulation commenced
Only if devs/businesses can offer more reliable, non-kyc, and user friendly DEX platform than what the current DEXs we have now.

If the DEX will be something like what jack wanted to build - tbDEX then that's impossible (it's just the same to CEX), our option is only just accept that our privacy will be the exchange for crypto being regulated by the authorities.
106  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase Add Bank Account Verification? on: November 21, 2021, 04:27:42 PM
This is the addition of new feature. Now with ease coinbase users can withdraw/buy bitcoin with their respective bank accounts connected to the account. The process thats been mentioned is same as that of the verification process involved while verifying a PayPal account. As coinbase is one among the licensed exchange, there is nothing to worry on adding the bank account to the coinbase exchange account.
Pretty useful and convenient in my opinion although it removes the anonymity and privacy to some degree, it's not that worrisome. I'm looking forward to this kind of thing in my country too although I feel like it's going to take a really long time before anything like that can happen, maybe Binance will add this verification too in the near future.
Well, in the very first place, anonymity and privacy always the risk exchange when using a regulated exchange/platform.

Also the deposit/withdrawal feature with a connected bank is not a new thing, besides the local exchange I'm currently using have it years already.
107  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Jack Dorsey far less decentralized exchange (tbDEX) on: November 21, 2021, 04:15:37 PM
as even before when Binance launch their own DEX, we thought it's decentralized but we were just disappointed.
That exchange was made only to make new/existing projects to migrate on Binance chain, nothing else. I don't know if there are still using the exchange aside from a binance fan.

Jack Dorsey the CEO of Twitter is a very influential man, he won't risk his reputation by running a full DEX without following the government regulatory requirements, so this is just to hype his new project and to mislead people, the word DEX should never exist when there are some restrictions and rules to follow.
Calling it DEX because it has one of the same feature like DEX?

If this tbDEX is requiring KYC then why people should use it if the exchange(s) they're currently using (/trusting) has almost the same features anyway?
The unique linking of the non-custodial wallet on tbDEX is somewhat comparable of the trust to CEX.
108  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitcoinCasinoTop.com - Bitcoin gambling reviewer on: November 21, 2021, 03:11:21 PM
This site should also reviews those scam site so it can warn gamblers not to play on that. It could be better if there’s a lot of good and bad site on the review site, this can earn the trust of the gamblers for being honest and fair enough to review, better not to remove it at all.
But the thing is, this website doesn't want to review scam casino or the negative side of a particular casino they have listed. Listed casinos on the website mostly have high ratings and sounds like a paid one.

109  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Passcode Length on: November 20, 2021, 08:52:41 PM
I bought Bitcoin in late 2010 or early 2011, I don't remember the exact date. Since this was 10 years ago I do not remember what wallet. I do remember that the icon that was on my computer looked very similar to the Bitcoin symbol (the B that looks like a dollar sign, $). I no longer have the device that the wallet was on and I think I must have recycled the information that I had written down on paper.

Since I only have what may or may not be the correct 10 word phrase, I am seriously doubting that I will be able to recover this wallet. Any suggestions are welcome.

Thanks for your response.
If there's no way you can remember those 10 word, as I assume it's something like a recovery seed/phrase to open the account/wallet but I doubt if the wallet is still operating now. So your only option is to leave those coins as lost forever.

As what I have mentioned, having backup of your recovery seed (12 or 24 words seed) will help you to recover your coins in case if something happen to your device.
110  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitcoinCasinoTop.com - Bitcoin gambling reviewer on: November 20, 2021, 08:20:19 PM
1xbit is scam and shouldn't be listed. Most of casinos listed aren't that popular on this forum.

How about on considering on trying out to make some review of Rollbit.com?  It would be much worth if it would be included on the list rather than
with those others which aren't really that popular as of this moment.
Thank you for your response. About 1xbit - after we got feedback from our clients we decided to remove it from our lists. So now you won't find it there. As for the review - we never heard about your brand before. If you're interested in our review - just send the main data about your casino to email info@bitcoincasinotop.com we'll look through your casino and add a review ASAP.
Instead of removing the site, it could be better to leave it there and write your own reviews about them, why it was hated and labeled as scam/unethical by some (selective scamming) of their users, you can just make those thread made on scam accusations as your reference, here are some of the scam accusation against 1xbit - 1xbit scam accusations. Scamming gamblers since 2017 Wink
111  Economy / Services / Re: [Wanted] Looking for traffic for my faucet on: November 20, 2021, 07:59:07 PM
Thank you so much for that. I've added my link to the signature but it's not clickable even with url codes. Do you have any idea why?
Because jr. member ranks (your current rank) does not support anchor links on their signature space, that's why it was suggested for you to buy/pay the copper membership to have features like a member rank does and be able to put an anchor link on your signature.
112  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Passcode Length on: November 20, 2021, 07:46:54 PM
[...] Of course, now I am interested! But I have lost the seed phrase. I do remember that there was a 10 word phrase. And a hypnosis session came up with 10 words.

I have a lot of learning to do. Thank you!
What wallet did you used? And what year you started using it? I bet this is not a recovery seed but something like a mnemonic phrase of blockchain.info legacy address but probably it's different since they have 15-word mnemonic phrase.

If you still into bitcoin now and using non-custodial wallet (e.g. electrum, trustwallet, mycelium), it's really recommended to have a backup (offline copy) of your recovery seed (12 or 24 word seed) in case the device got broken, stolen, etc.
113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Instant Exchange VS a CEX: Who Wins? on: November 20, 2021, 07:39:08 PM
You forget to add an additional fee sending from user's wallet to instant exchange. Saying using instant exchange for smaller amounts is better but actually it's not as always, especially when it comes to ERC20 token and ETH related tokens listed.

It would cost a lot for them to send first before it got exchanged to other coins. Average ERC20 (ETH) tx fee as of writing is around $25 and you only have 100$ to be exchanged, either it will cost you $125 for the whole transfer or -$25 saying you only have $100 so it's now only $75, then Instant exchange rates are still lower than CEX. So at the end it's still better using CEX for ERC20 (ETH) exchange/transfer.

But for other coins other than ERC20 (ETH) I guess it might a little better on instant exchange, at least to those cheap tx fee.
114  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What I understand about bitcoin on: November 20, 2021, 06:56:59 PM
Yeah, there is a learning curved here in crypto, first you need to understand how wallet works, not just investing or buying in the beginning. You really have to understand how to protect your assets and how not to get hack and not to lose your bitcoins.
It should be, if don't, then it would be a nightmare later on.

Not only just how a wallet works, but it should be, how different wallet works (custodial and non-custodial).
And having a wallet is not just keeping it secure, keping your device safe/secured will keep your wallet/backups secured as well.
115  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Need advice regarding buying on: November 20, 2021, 03:33:53 PM
Sometimes it happens that altcoins are more profitable than Bitcoin, nor to deny that. Like investing coins that are in hypes gives us x2, x3, multiple times in general, and that is good.
The chance of you from getting profit x2 or more is the same chance or more to getting loss. Unless you're investing alts that were established already, like those top 20 coins listed on cmc. BNB is more impressive coin to invest either in short term or long term. For eth it should be in long term.
116  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: (Scam) Binance Block Users Withdrawals - You could be the next Victim. on: November 20, 2021, 01:50:31 PM
I won't say that Binance is scamming based on your evidence, but I will say they fucked up and are making no real effort to fix issue.

Not the same as scamming if they were a true scam they would do far more accounts and many more issues.

Thank You very much For Your Opinion.
Well, I think I can agree with you that it's not a real scam but a lot of users fucked up.

I didn't Notice that yahoo Finance covered this news Binance Freezes Doge Withdrawals as Users Report Being Asked to Return Coins They Don’t Have
They might not scam their users on their own way, but what they did is unethical business practice and probably labeled as a scam to others, it's obviously their fault, blaming and pointing fingers to their users (indirect way).

I don't think anyone will send those doge back not unless the doge amount (value) is lower than their current balance on their account.
117  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Where do dex/cex/analytics get real-time date from? on: November 20, 2021, 01:38:57 PM
The above posts explains it, it's all about the exchange's API they provided.

Exchanges get their data from their very own records to be shared via API to developers, analytics, etc. You might see high/short difference to other exchanges, some exchanges might alter this records (fraud exchanges do) to lure people to trade there but that's not the case here though.
118  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Wallet's and their compliancy with law enforcement on: November 20, 2021, 07:32:27 AM
Is there a reason why hw is not an option though? Because you can't directly trade on it?
More like it needs to bought first?

Anyway, to op, there are lots of wallets available (mostly mentioned already above) to use if your main concern is the intervention of the authority. It just a matter of your understanding between wallets and exchanges.

Coinbase is not a wallet, it's an exchange service.
Yes, Coinbase is an exchange site but they created a custodial wallet that functions like a Trust wallet, and the only difference between the two wallets is that trust wallets are non-custodial.
There's no difference between custodial wallet to CEX if in question is user's privacy and the involvement of the law which is the main issue of OP.
119  Other / Archival / Re: Archive of forum pages on: November 19, 2021, 04:46:20 PM
Are there any ways or services that the archive was created at once for the entire list of topics or posts?
I guess archive services only work on a single page, unless there's an "All" button on Show the last topics started by this person page like other thread do.

Loycev archive tool doesn't have a feature like that as well, only the all posts created by the user including the tread and replies. Maybe you/we can suggest it to him if it's possible.
120  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Nitrogensports.eu blocked me 0.37BTC after good winning day on: November 19, 2021, 04:09:30 PM
I had a similar problem with them.
They asked me what my connection is to some random acc.

I told them to look at both acc playing history and that there's no chance they will see a connection.

There is a chance you have some bets same as the other account, but that's all.
So how about your issue, it is already solved? or still on pending status?

If nitrogensports only refers the IP as the main subject to consider as multiple accounting then they should be ashamed and deserve to those negative reviews.
There should be many to consider before they label users as multiple accounting such the screen/monitor size, browser, playing history, previous deposit/withdrawal transactions, then IPs. Not unless it's their main motive for such kind of account and withdrawal amounts.
