1081  Other / Meta / Re: 4000+ posts and 1 merit. 2021 version :) on: January 18, 2021, 06:55:03 PM
I wonder hows the crypto savings/portfolio of this guy from all of his bounty campaigns since he's full time working since 2018.

With the statement that yes, I do have altcoins, and do use that part of the forum, every time I see one of these posts I have the same thought.
"Why don't we just nuke the entire altcoin section"
How much time would be saved by the mods removing junk?
How many scams would not be posted here?
How much crap would just be gone from the forum?

No, it would not just go away, it would move elsewhere.
And you know what, I'm fine with that.
Considerable since after all, its bitcointalk, not altcointalk?
1082  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC ) No:1 In coinmarketcap website. | Glitch? on: January 17, 2021, 11:48:19 PM
They are now showing Incent (INCNT) as Number 2.  This CMC became so buggy after Binance took it over...

Due to recent new changes, looks/UI, I guess and it's affected with the development. If the error/bug is only the circulating supply then I guess the cmc is responsible for that but if it's related to the price I guess some of the exchanges where cmc basing its prices is the main culprit here, or I say someone is manipulating there.
1083  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Help regarding LOST Bitcoin....😳 on: January 17, 2021, 11:36:58 PM
Do you remember what bitcoin wallet did you use? there you could have an idea of what you're looking for in your computer assuming it was never get reformatted in that time frame. But assuming that you have it around 2011, bitcoin core is the only wallet I've known that exist such date.

Try to search "wallet", "bitcoin", "bitcoin-qt", "blocks" on your computer from all drives.

What data/file did you save on your email? You sure it was never got hacked ever since? How about if you remember one of your wallet address used before and check it on blockchair.com if the bitcoin you had is still there?
1084  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How often are people really hacked out of their BTC? on: January 17, 2021, 11:15:48 PM
Most hacked bitcoiner cause of using malware/phishing wallet/software/website, some of them while using electrum and got phished by installing from malicious server the prompts as a notification. While some of them while using exchanges that were hacked.

The lesson is always verify the source/signature of every wallet you want to install on your device. And don't ever put your bitcoin on exchanges for a very long time or as an alternative for wallet.
1085  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am Satoshi Nakamoto on: January 17, 2021, 04:06:06 PM
I chose to create "Bitcoin" because I wanted to buy things online that I could not afford like Jordans. Niketalk
I can't remember satoshi like Jordan shoes tho.

Its not that hard to hide your IP address. Back in the day I would just change my linksys router settings to a new MAC Address and get a new IP.
Ye, sounds fine.

This was 10 years ago when bitcoin had no value.
You sure? I bet it's around $1 already.

I created a new user bcuz guess what I cannot login in to my admin account.
Ofc, theymos disabled it if you still don't know.

Fyi, posting pattern of satoshi doesn't look like what you did.

1086  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Question about MEW (Myetherwallet) on: January 17, 2021, 03:50:06 PM
Wala naman sigurong mag withdraw ng tokens tapos send sa coins.ph, alam naman nating ETH lang listed sa coins.ph. D
Actually, meron na ganitong incident USDT TO ETH COINS PH Sad, di palang katagalan na nasolve yung issue niya.

To OP, ganyang alert message ay nag po'prompt lang pag smart contract ang wallet address na linagay mo as receiver sa mew. Try mo metamask if ayaw ma send kahit eth ang gusto mong i'send.
1087  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Lyka App on: January 17, 2021, 02:22:45 PM
Pero according dito sa Reddit post na nakita ko, may possibility na itong Lyka na ito ay inaaccess ang camera or mic ng phone ng user pag ginagamit yung app.
Link:
Code:
https://amp.reddit.com/r/beermoneyph/comments/him2bg/sa_mga_nagtatanong_if_scam_ba_yung_lyka_ito/

Hindi ba masyadong too good to be true yung offer na kikita ka sa pakikipag interact at pag upload lang ng photos and videos? So pwedeng ginagamit nila yung mga data na nakukuha nila mula sa users para ibenta. Anong masasabi nyo dito?
Lahat naman ng app na ini'install mo sa phone mo is pwede ma access yung feature ng phone mo, say camera, sa android may mag po'pop up yan na alert notification either yes or no lang naman yung sagot, if mag yes ka, sureball may access yung app sa camera, location, storage at etc. kaya if hindi necessary 'no' lang, pero if di gagana ang app pag di nka yes/on/access yung features na yun then parang ganun talaga, lalo na pag camera, microphone - dun sila kumikita as business.

As for selling data/info ng user naman, lahat naman ata sa atin may lazada, facebook at google accounts. Those websites/apps/companies are likely selling our data/cookies sa mga iba ibang companies since may mga ads ang ganitong websites/app.

Never pa ako gumamit ng app na yan, pero if I were you dummy accounts lang or disposable info lang ilalagay ko same sa lahat ng social media accounts ko, ma email man or number. As long na walang mala kyc ang app na yan, okay lang siguro.

Btw may mga restaurants at shops dito sa 'min na uma accept ng lyka gem as payment siguro mga 2019 pa kaya medjo familiar ako dyan at naging madalas ang nakikita ko related sa lyka this time, lastly nakita post ni chito miranda at sa ibang groups.

And note na "if you're not paying for it, you become the product"
1088  Other / Meta / Re: crypto1998 spamming on this forum on: January 17, 2021, 01:02:18 PM
Those recent and repeated thread/content of him is considered spamming to me and it's against the forum rule #12 as duplicate thread on multiple boards and should be reported.
1089  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk Hall of Shame on: January 17, 2021, 09:13:41 AM
Oh, yeah, I found that one of them is in my ignore list.

Economics is full of their threads, I remembered one day maybe that was last december or november, found most of the recent threads on economics are made by them both, like most of them.
1090  Economy / Speculation / Re: Your price expectations for 2021 on: January 17, 2021, 03:40:26 AM
I see $70k ahead on the last quarter of the year, and $25k will be our new bottom line. No specifics just large businesses and keep investors coming, just speculation.
1091  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has become nothing but the new Che Guevara T-shirt on: January 16, 2021, 06:12:45 PM
You will find this amazing article interesting, the writer just meant that the price he used to buy his Che Guevara T-shirt has been used by some people in the past to buy Bitcoin and have gained,
Found it different than what you've mentioned. As we all know he is famous due to what he had done in cuba, and even his face becomes the symbol of a revolution and innovation the same as what bitcoin being accomplish.

That's why instead of che's face on a shirt as the old way, why not bitcoin that symbolizes revolution and innovation in finance?
1092  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why not decentralized exchange..? on: January 16, 2021, 05:33:58 PM
Most experienced users only uses DEX, too much complexity and most of them aren't newbie-friendly together with few volumes, then the result is obvious.

Even the too hype binance dex isn't used by many. I checked uniswap and so far the volume there is good and well enough to process in minutes or hours, only if it's easy to use, though there are times for learning.
1093  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you think that bitcoin could hit 10 million ever? on: January 16, 2021, 05:13:06 PM
Possible, but before it reaches a million worth, governments and other centralized identities will try to stop that with their lame excuses such as bubble, pyramid scheme, expensive fees, pump-and-dump scheme and etc. You heard it.
1094  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coin.ph to Binance or Directy buying btc to binance using credit card on: January 16, 2021, 11:26:29 AM
Based on experience yung pag purchase ko ng crypto as an unverified user nung December 2020 kaya nga masasabi ko na pwede makabili ang isang unverified user ng crypto using their credit card or debit card. I was not yet verified when I purchased btc, usdt, vet, dot, and link.

Spot purchase yun Peso to crypto. Hindi ako nag p2p and never pa ako nag p2p kaya wala akong alam sabihin about p2p. But as I said, based on my experience yan. Have you even tried purchasing crypto at binance before ka magpa-verify? Ako kasi di ako agad nagpapa-verify dahil gusto ko malaman kung pupwedeng ma-avail ang service ng binance kung unverified user. And the good news is, pwede!

Ang masasabi ko lang is try an unverified account and then prove me wrong  Smiley
Good to know if ganyan nga. Never bought crypto in binance na unverified since sabi ko nga reni'required nila, pero base sa experience mo then parang nag ko'contradict yung terms nila Identity Verification for Buying Crypto with Credit/Debit Card.

Idk if sa december lang naging available yang ganyan but anyways, thanks sa info.
1095  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Forbes list of investors whose fortunes increased due to rise in Bitcoin price on: January 16, 2021, 02:29:05 AM
Yes, it's a list lol, such a trash article must be a lazy writer you have there.

Anyway, you can check this forbes article instead of that crappy article Bitcoin’s Recent Surge Creates New Billionaires.

Those on the list are really famous dudes having big business(es) in the cryptocurrency space, OGs, investor, a developer, and ofc hodlers, I wonder why CZ isn't there at least considering he have binance.
1096  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't Trust this type Offer on: January 15, 2021, 08:21:06 PM
Whether its a legit email from yobit or not, how can you trust such exchange? If you will ask people here how great this exchange esp those old users, you will know that they are one of the sh*t exchange that still exist I might say the shitiest. Even google will pretty give you hints about that.
Stay away and delete such email if I were you.
1097  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: btc.com on: January 15, 2021, 07:08:50 PM
I went to log in and the wallet address does not exist [...]

I have the original transaction receipt and all and shows the coins in my wallet. Did btc.com make temp addresses or something.
If you're saying that the address wasn't there but you still have the balance in your wallet. It's because wallet.btc.com uses an HD wallet that is designed to (hierarchical deterministic) have multiple addresses one after another. This means that once you used the address to receive, another address will be generated automatically though you can manually generate it as well. You might not be able to see the used address(es) still, you can use it but that would compromise the purpose of the HD wallet for privacy reasons. You can see this address(es) as well on the wallet's transaction history.

1098  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Stake.com Blocked 4k euro without explenations from days on: January 15, 2021, 04:45:01 PM
For clearer proof(s) of accusing staked.com as scam which I doubt that you were scammed by them, kindly follow the scam report format and post your updated details on your OP including the email/chat logs you just posted screenshots or copy-pasted logs.
1099  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coin.ph to Binance or Directy buying btc to binance using credit card on: January 15, 2021, 04:41:42 PM
Madali lang and hassle-free sa binance and even unverified users can purchase crypto but may limitations so much better kung magpaverify talaga.
If you're referring of purchasing crypto with fiat sa binance, need at required mo dumaan sa kyc nila, kaya need mo din maging kyc verified sa p2p kase you're dealing with fiat and crypto transactions.
1100  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins bad publicity? on: January 14, 2021, 07:47:43 PM
Now the Banks and Governments are talking about launching their own Crypto to complete with Bitcoin but surely this wont be decentralised so its not really going to be 'The internet of money' is it?
How you can call such a thing "The internet of money" if it can only be used in a particular place/country? And no, even if they have to, they are even too far for competing with bitcoin.
