1001  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: COINBASE scam people!! on: November 19, 2013, 11:45:32 AM
5 days ago I bought 2 btc @ 320 each. Today the btc suppose to be clear in my coinbase account @ 615 each, When suddenly i receive a coinbase email stating that the transaction is suspicious and my money has been reversed.

I had almost $100k back and forward with coinbase for the past year and never had any problems at all but today they shut my transactions because of this bitcoin raise.
Not a good strategy for coinbase.

okay, have you: A) contacted Olaf@coinbase.com? B) Spoken with someone from support about this specific issue?

I've seen this happen before - JUST REACH OUT TO THEM.  They fix things like this and will credit you back your BTC at the agreed upon rate!  As far as the message about "limits being met and unable to provide further service" you are sol with that one because they've already sent you notification that their services are disrupted, BUT you still can definitely reach out to them and have them credit your account properly for the 2 BTC.

Coming on here, fussy about your issue and your issue only:  Makes you look unreasonable as though you didn't take the time to resolve it first before coming here to whine about it.  Bitcoin protocol is probably being stress tested to the max among other things.

I mean, do you see me coming around, making a "hater thread" on Mt. Gox because I'm waiting for a btc withdrawl from 20 hours ago that still hasn't hit the network?  NO, I'm going to wait until MT gox says nothing further can be done and then if that happens, I will proceed to trash-talk them into the ground akin to what you're doing here.

To newcomers, I like Coinbase A lot - they are usually hassle free for the most part - as the OP said he's transacted more than 100k with them prior.
1002  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MasterCoin [MST] Sync problems fixed, updated 9 Sept 2013 on: November 19, 2013, 10:52:39 AM
Share more one - two nodes, I can not synchronize, dude!

Please, clarify MST or MSC, what a giveway here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=272577.0

They called your coins MSC.

Giveaway Thread for "MasterCoins" .... ... .. blah blah ... ..... (like sending a tweet): 0.1 MSC ......

MSC or MST ?

MSC is not this coin.  this is an alt-coin and a copy of mastercard for that one.

MSC is a layer based protocol with additional features on top of the bitcoin blockchain.
1003  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: 90 minutes and no confirms? on: November 19, 2013, 04:06:04 AM
With this much traffic it is a good idea to add a little "tip" for the miners on top of the recommended fee.  The miners will appreciate it and put your transaction to the top of the queue.

My services and wallets do not let me specify the trx fee.  Should I be utilizing something like armory or electrum instead of the standard android client?
1004  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: 90 minutes and no confirms? on: November 19, 2013, 04:00:02 AM
I'm sure it will, I have 2BTC in my name. But, I use Cold Storage generally.

Hi Devin.  Havent seen you since coinchat.  Yea I'm seeing problems with the network today too - See Bitminter:

https://blockchain.info/address/19PkHafEN18mquJ9ChwZt5YEFoCdPP5vYB

I'm also waiting for a withdrawl from mt gox which i put in 12 or so hours ago.

1005  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: My transaction with proper fee is not getting confirmations, why? on: November 18, 2013, 10:57:27 PM
Just noticed blockchain.info had flagged your transaction as a double spend and came back here to tell you, I guess you already noticed. Grin  I hope you have wallet backups.

I'm waiting for a mt gox transaction to post to my account and some mining earnings are not getting confirmed (was this an example of the selfish miner attack?)
1006  Economy / Speculation / Re: Whats your crash-comming-panic-sell number? on: November 18, 2013, 10:47:39 PM
Keeping it at  720 USD...Might get there sooner than expected though...

Did you sell yet?  its hitting your number on gox now Cheesy
1007  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: MasterCoin Buyer/Seller Thread on: November 18, 2013, 03:08:01 PM
Okay I want to buy 5 Mastercoin at .2 or 1 Btc in Total.  Could I do this using a clean paper wallet?  If so please add me to the order book.

UPdate - I used the order book and reached out to Faraday who has agreed to sell me 5 @ .95 total with escrow using pouncer.  I've sent the coin using

Waiting to see receipt of MSC to an offline wallet now.

I offer mining contracts via Cex.io too  Smiley
1010  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Block erupted mining bandwidth on: November 16, 2013, 12:37:58 AM
I'm calling bullshit with you:

http://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/8031/what-are-bitcoin-miners-really-solving

Using this all steps are 76 Bytes in total for the entire process.  Now multiply this by 11 block erupters then multiply 4 bytes by every second each day:

60 seconds *60 minutes *24 hours *4 byes per timestamp = 345,600 Bytes or 337.5 Kbytes flat bandwidth consumption per block erupter in addition to the 76 Bytes expected per share every day. expected revenue per BE is 0.0003 btc per day until the next difficulty bump:  .0033 is expected for 11 Block erupters.

BTC guild has a pps rate of 0.0000000452606264, therefore, .0033/0.0000000452606264= 72911 shares roughly (as per a pps structure...I know this is sort of hacky because they set the pps rate, its not set by some arbitratry fixed constant, this is an estimation)

76*72911= 5,832,884.36 expected shares bandwidth of 11 BEs+ 337,500 fixed timestamp bandwidth= 5,878,736 Bytes per day which is approximately 5.74 Megabytes per day consumed from bandwidth of 11 block erupters.

5.74 MB consumed per day*1024 to convert to KB /24 hours per day/60 minutes per hour/60 seconds per minute= requires a 0.0680409259 KB/s internet connection to run.

Tell your brother that there is no way in hell or anyplace else that 5.74MB*7 days = 200,000 MB.

Tell him that your devices pull just over 40 MB per week.

1011  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: [BUY] USB Erupter on: November 15, 2013, 10:46:23 PM
Hi guys,
i'm looking for 1-20 USB Erupter (also used yet) in order to spend ~5$.

Good luck with that.
1012  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: ncurses based MtGox live monitor and trading-bot-framework on: November 14, 2013, 05:15:29 AM
in goxtool.py around line 48 there are the sizes defined

Note that after changing your local copies of the files you might need a local git branch or git stash to be able to continue pulling and merging future updates of goxtool (sounds more complicated than it actually is)

Wish I did this 6 months ago...so I'm trying to run it using cygwin and I have everything setup, but when I try to use it, its is like the bash window doesnt move forward after entering in:

  python goxtool.py --protocol=socketio --use-http

It just goes to a new line.  Dont know what else I could be missing  Huh

1013  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Propose Scammer Tags for any Dev who created dead coins on: November 14, 2013, 12:42:47 AM
The Devs who make coins to mine them then dump them....I have a good list of 4 that I don't particularly like anymore.  I would venture that these 4 are responsible for the vast majority of ad nauseaum Alt Coins.  Did my research thinking that there was something there...but there wasn't, just false promises sitting on top of a premined timebomb to coin value.
1014  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: 1 BTC whoever gets this Bitfury Unit up and Running on: November 13, 2013, 09:57:11 PM
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B9rkmjqbrjKhUlVMbl9JUzhWbmM/edit?usp=sharing  here is a copy of chainminer_V3 with bfgminer also compiled (its stored on root profile though so please be sure to change your passwd for root file)

Darn - Guessing I missed out on the bounty :/
1015  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: 4/10 block erupters are reporting 50% HW errors! on: November 13, 2013, 07:37:35 PM
If they're dead I'll buy them...seriously.
1016  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Block Erupter Buyback Program (Offering .008 BTC per broken BE) on: November 13, 2013, 07:36:06 PM
Sold Out!  I'm down to a single Black Lapel for Purchase!
1017  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] Defective/Broken/Burned-out ASIC hardware (USB BE's especially) on: November 13, 2013, 07:33:18 PM
No they're likely not salvagable, I want mementos and can use them for other stuff. I already have a small farm of them, but wouldn't want to make trinkets out of the functioning ones.

I'm also looking for a single generation 1 blade, the overclockable kind, to finish my collection of those. Preferably working.

Indeed, it appears we are in the same line of business  Grin

1018  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: (closed) 7 dead block erupters and a shorted 49 port erupter hub low BTC price on: November 13, 2013, 07:32:07 PM
Damn so the dead erupters were sold too?  I want to buy em if you still have them.
1019  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sold earlier at $380.... on: November 13, 2013, 12:11:16 PM
Just place an order in the order book and just wait...a crash will come now a days..i'm certain of that

I like when people say such things because bitcoin always does the opposite.

This is because of china....CANNOT WAIT to SEE ARGENTINA go 4 broke.

Guys #1 rule of Exchange - Screw greed, hold an opposite position, dont sell your whole lot...keep some around to play both hands of the order book when time permits, but don't make those ridiculously low like 300s anymore because we don't know the exact wall.  I say hold a couple coins in a cold wallet and forget about them period in case the day comes and the price is past 500K then you can cash out that coin!

Op now its 541,000 buy wall between 400 and 402 so yes....unless a WHALE comes along...I see a downtrend to exploit real soon...converesely the whale seller could stay risky and push their sell walls to a higher number such as 450-475ish...good for my longs...all bad for my short.
