1001  Economy / Speculation / Re: Could Bitcoin Hit $1 Million by 2026? Arthur Hayes Makes Exciting Forecast on: October 31, 2023, 10:41:26 PM
People don't know btc price next month and somebody still talking about 2026 lol
Their is some people who calculate the price of bitcoin above for intervals of two years ahead, but when looking at he or her opinion over bitcoin price come 2026 you will know that this particular suggestions or predictions is like something that is under assumption.

Actually we are in the year of 2023 and we are even expecting bitcoin halving which has not come to pass as people reasons or expected but the op is emphasising on 2026 over two years coming of bitcoin price, which 2024 and 2025 nobody sure of the price of bitcoin.

The thing is that we all know that bitcoin price is rotational maybe the op have a radar it uses to know Actually where the price of bitcoin will take us to, but some predictions or speculation of bitcoin do come to reality when you overlooked it, but when bitcoin want to skyrocket the way it was before the thing that happened is that they will be a signal that will passed across, even through the chart you can know that bitcoin is will increase anytime soon despite that nobody can predict the future of bitcoin accurately.
In such unpredictable market, future price predictions are normal. And some crypto analysts don't just do it because they want it but because they also have some good and reliable basis that might possibly work in the future. That's why try to be more open for future predictions but never assume that they will all come into reality, and never rely in them for your future decisions.

However, as per my own point of view, I truly believe that bitcoin has all the potentials to finally reach $1 million in price but it will be uncertain as to what year it will happen. And for me, 2026 might not be the year to see bitcoin hitting $1 million. It could possibly happen 10 or 15 years from now.
1002  Economy / Economics / Re: Cracking the Code of Saving Money... on: October 30, 2023, 01:45:06 PM
We all want to save money, but it's not always easy.
There are so many things that tempt us to spend, unexpected bills that pop up, and it can be hard to make ends meet.
How do you manage to save in a world that encourages spending? Let's talk about it.
Share your ideas, tips, and stories about saving money, and together, we can figure out how to get better at it. (We will also draw valuable lessons from the mistakes and experiences of others.)
Stay at home most often if you want to avoid expenses like eating on fancy restaurants, or shopping on malls. What you want to do today might not be the same thing tomorrow. That’s one way of saving. Also, live life within your means. Do not spend above your income, otherwise you’ll end up having a lot of debt. Lastly, learn to invest more than saving a lot. Your savings has rare chances to grow, but when you invest, your capital might be double or triple in time as long as you invest on those high potentials to succeed. Hence, you will be more capable to save if you have a sustainable investment on the side.
1003  Economy / Economics / Re: Is there a formula for Bitcoin starters? on: October 29, 2023, 11:04:39 PM
As experienced investors are there measures that can be imbibed by new investors with little capital to help boast their capital. Some will want to mention patience which I will agree to but in situations where the money is needed to meet an emergency need how to you tackle such situations. Your formula might be a saving approach.

You tackle those situations by not investing money you can't afford to lose in the first place.

Getting a stable income first (as pointed out by Mr.right85) and then using DCA, if you can afford it, is unfortunately the only way to get started in such a situation.
One is not supposed to invest and rely on it for living. You need to land a sustainable source of income first before you decide to take risk in any investment. Note that no investments provide guaranteed profits, most of the time you lose a hundred times first before you will experience significant profits. This is just the same with bitcoin investment. You can't assure profits the moment you decide to invest. That is the reason why people decide to save first before they invest. Not literally to save to invest, but you will save enough funds to cover even a year's worth of living expenses, before you decide to put some of your hard-earned money to invest. Once you have done it, never assume quick profits since you are in a long term investment. Put a good amount of patience and trust your investment. That way, even if the price suddenly crash, you know that it will always change so you won't never worry. Once you are starting to gain profits, buy back again and do the DCA. That's the only way so you will never miss the market opportunities to invest, which will also increase and maximize your future profits.
1004  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How long to learn trading? on: October 29, 2023, 10:17:48 PM
I spoke to a tutor who teaches trading, and he said for his lectures, he teaches for an extended period of nine months for anyone who wants to learn trading from him. Please I like to read the personal experience of some traders here, how long did it take you to learn to trade profitably, and what was the hardest thing to learn? did it take you weeks, months or years? Do you think that trading can be learnt well in a short time like three weeks for a quick trader? Can someone who is a proffesional trader just go straight to the point pointing out what is needed to make a successful trader to a newbie to learn quickly?
There's no definite time as to how long you will learn in trading. It depends on your own capacity and capability whether you easily get the trading technicalities and its fundamentals or you always find it hard to engage in trading. As every individual is unique, so each aspiring trader may also has its own way to learn trading based on his own preferred way. And as long its never crossing the line against the trading rules, then any trade will never be a threat.

However, there's also this concept that everyone is free to trade but not everyone is capable to trade and earn a living from it. That is just the same if one desires to learn in trading. He can always decide to trade but there's no guarantee if he can be a successful trader in the long run, as trading is not measured by how long you are learning in trading, but its on how you hone and develop your skills and how you build up yourself to be a successful and profitable trader in the making.
1005  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would happen if there was only one cryptocurrency, which is Bitcoin? on: October 29, 2023, 09:48:36 PM
Something came out in my mind recently:
How would the price of Bitcoin change if there were no other cryptocurrency than Bitcoin?
Would Bitcoin develop faster without a competition?

Many people believe that if there is no alternative cryptocurrency, the price of Bitcoin will rise because it has no competition.

But, in my opinion, the price of Bitcoin is lower if it does not have a competition. Why? Because if there is no competition, the buyer's thinking is "should I buy this or not?" however if there is competition, the buyer's mind is "should I buy Bitcoin or these alts?"

As a result, not just Bitcoin but other altcoins will benefit. So, rather than being upset or sad because there is a competition, we can look at it in a positive way.
Even if we try to assume that bitcoin has no competition in the crypto market, but people will still be comparing it into other types of investment like gold, stocks or real estate. So the competition will still be possible.

However, if only bitcoin will exist in the market without altcoins and shitcoins that will deceive the people, I would say the crypto market will be boring and bitcoin price will never be exciting. I would not even expect for faster adoption of bitcoin since people will more likely to favor gold or real estate. But if there are altcoins on the side that are seeing bitcoin as their model, then people will be more wise to chose which crypto is capable to give them decent profits, or they could have invest in both cryptos for investment diversification, and jut learn from their outcome which coin deserves higher allocation the next time they decide to invest again.
1006  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2023 end game sentiment check on: October 29, 2023, 08:58:12 PM
It is looking convincing that next halving will see the price of bitcoin reaching a new ATH from the current and usually that is how it happens. However, I'm still surprised that the price keeps going higher despite that during this time in the past, the price doesn't get high as it is selling now at $34k. I think the hodlers of bitcoin are part of the reason for the price steadily improving to this time. If the steady increase continue until the ending of this year to the beginning of next year, it means halving will hit the market at a time it is already bullish and that may be the first time it will happen.

Maybe because everyone is still holding and positive about the ETF approval since there’s no news available regarding it that will create FUD to the market. It’s also understandable why everyone is holding since there’s upcoming big event on crypto that will make the market bullish which is Bitcoin halving.

We might see some retrace in the following weeks before another huge pump will occur assuming everything will be as is without any manipulation.
The expected ETF approval might also be one reason why bitcoin price looks bullish. If the headlines about the fake approval made bitcoin price to jump high suddenly, then the more we will expect a great move when the real approval is already happening. However, that's not going to happen this year but most likely on the first quarter of early next year based on the news so probably, we might encounter first some price decline for bitcoin before it hits a new bigger price. And when that happens, a lot would be entering the market again not because the price is currently low but because they believe that after that, bitcoin will eventually create a significant price increase that's unstoppable. Although the assumption is not quite bad, but make sure when that happens, never invest more than you can afford to lose. No matter how affordable bitcoin is, always risk the money that is acceptable to lose.
1007  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My $50,000 betting goal by 2024. Share Your Thoughts With Me. on: October 29, 2023, 02:04:36 PM
I'd like to start by asking how much is your total bankroll?

I mean, $50k is a substantial amount of money, though it's achievable in gambling, the odds are relatively small if you don't have a decent bankroll. Let's be realistic here. While I believe there are successful gamblers who make a living from it, they typically don't start with $1,000 and end up with $50,000 by the end of the year. That's quite unattainable for most, which is why I'm curious about your total bankroll.
1008  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: October 29, 2023, 01:48:35 PM

So, regarding Tony Bishop, in order for him to stay longer, especially if Brownlee might still be suspended (though such a suspension may be reduced), Tony has to ensure he lives up to Tim Cone's expectations. We all know Tim Cone has high standards, especially since Ginebra is a crowd favorite. He aims to win most, if not all the time.

I don't think he was replaced during his time with the Meralco Bolts, so I'm expecting that he'll be able to finish the conference in case Brownlee can't play due to suspension. Coach Tim knows the caliber of his import; that's why he hired him. With the Ginebra team, discipline is highly valued. Even if a player is an import and not producing, Coach Tim Cone could sit him out and opt for an All-Filipino lineup.

And let's not forget, Maverick Ahanmisi is already with Ginebra, and this guy plays good basketball as well.

https://www.rappler.com/sports/pba/maverick-ahanmisi-joins-barangay-ginebra-september-2023/

Coach Tim cone is very knowledgeable coach, we are all know that once his players are complete then he will make a way  in order to prevent losses. Anyways as we all know that brownlee has a big chance for his  suspension but coach Tim will make a way he already knew who are the player he need inorder to compete other team in PBA. which is pretty good enough If his players are fully conditioned or else complete.

He's already paved the way by picking Tony Bishop as their import, but we're not sure if he'll gel right away, given he hasn't played with the team before. The good side is that he's from a defensive powerhouse, the Meralco Bolts, and we all know Coach Tim values solid defense due to the discipline it shows. I've got a feeling that the new import will slot in nicely, though, no promises, of course.
1009  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk - December or January in Saudi Arabia on: October 29, 2023, 02:26:38 AM

although won my bet fury by decision, i think ngannou won the fght seeing how devastating that KO was.

It wasn't a KO, just a knockdown; otherwise, Ngannou would have already won and the fight is over in the first round.

if t was MMA fury would have been in his worse KO of his life. even on youtube comments they were saying francis was robbed.

francis rally proved he is worthy of the opportunity, i guess he secured his boxing career which he will have another boxing fight in the future.

though he lost, he gained the respect. they are saving the face of boxing though so a fan i think will understand they let fury win. otherwise the boxing gyms will start adding MMA training.

That was a close fight; either fighter could have won, so we can really hear different sentiments from the people, especially since Ngannou scored a knockdown. However, it's very evident how Fury controlled the later rounds. I mean, Ngannou wasn't as aggressive anymore, and Fury was just racking up points with his jabs. That was the difference-maker in why Fury was able to rally in the score despite the knockdown. It's very rare to see a fighter get knocked down and still win the fight, but it's exceptional for Fury.
1010  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is the selling pressure in the ATH level can be a problem to reach $100k? on: October 28, 2023, 10:58:53 PM
Yes, most likely, this scenario is very expected. Yesterday we saw how Bitcoin rose to 30K, but it immediately retreated due to intense selling pressure, so we will get the same scenario if Bitcoin rises to the previous peak.

But eventually those who have held Bitcoin all this time will sell, and as large new buyers enter the market and mining rewards halve, the quantity supplied will decrease, and then prices should start rising again.

Of course, this process takes some time, so I do not expect that we will witness a significant rise immediately after the halving, as some think, but it is certain that we will witness it in the end.
Everyone has been waiting for it to happen. Not only for those who have bought bitcoin at it last all time high price but also to those who have been holding bitcoin for couple of years now, surely they also want to take part in selling but that will only be possible if a new all time high is reached after the bitcoin halving is done. But if they will decide to sell at the current price, it's clear that they will still be in profits since the price has already crossed the $30k price resistance.

However, if they will chose to hold even longer, that would mean bigger profits in the future. Bitcoin is always highly volatile, and that volatility is the one big reason why a lot of us are even excited to hold even longer knowing bitcoin price will always appreciate no matter how often its price fluctuations.
1011  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Looking back at the past, one of those statements gained respect over time. on: October 28, 2023, 10:30:09 PM
We have never had anything in common with this person, which must be accepted as reality:
- found bitcoin on the internet at the beginning2
- see the positive side of bitcoin
- can analyze prices
- have access to bitcoin sellers.

Although I admit this guy is quite lucky, the way he comes up with investment ideas is pure betting rather than intensive research.
Well, that's one thing I don't like when you decide to invest. Investments should start with a good preparation not only on the sufficient funds you need for capital but also when it comes to your mental and emotional aspects. Make sure that you obtained prior knowledge about bitcoin and you are not faint-hearted so you won't be easily affected whatever the outcome of your investment. However, if you think of investing is like gambling, that it needs more luck than knowledge or skills, then you will never gained financial freedom in the end. This man is just so lucky that his investment had succeeded despite of his different mindset about investing. The only positive thing about him is that he trusted bitcoin more than any other investment and at such a very early time. I think that's one positive trait that we are lacking. Yes, we don't miss opportunities that bitcoin has to offer but we all know that our faith is not that strong and firm like him that's why in every market crash and price decline, we tend to change our decision towards reaching our goals in our investment.

1013  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - December 26 on: October 28, 2023, 03:31:53 PM
Also similar to Tapales, Conor was also humble before he became very rich. When he was not yet a champion, Conor's trashtalking was also not from his personality. He only taught himself to trashtalk to sell more tickets and more UFC subscriptions. Marlon can also use this tactic to sell more payperviews. It will also make this very exciting for the fans hehe.
That's what I think about his attitude too, and I think that McGregor being an asshole and cocky fighter during interviews contributed to the increase in sales in his fights which I think is the best strategy right now because you can pair this kind of fighter with a calm demeanor fighter or an equally trashtalking fighter and the results are going to be the same: more people wanting to see the matches.

Boxing and UFC are undoubtedly two distinct markets, and it's clear that boxing holds the bigger share. In fact, according to reports, Conor McGregor made a total of $85 million from all his UFC fights combined. However, in just one boxing match against Mayweather, he earned over $100 million. This demonstrates that the real money is in boxing, which is why we see many UFC fighters exploring exhibition fights, where they can potentially earn a significant amount, win or lose.

How Conor McGregor Made $600 Million In A Sport Notorious For Its Low Pay

It's true that many fighters who earn substantial money are often skilled in the art of trash-talking. Marlon, despite not being a natural trash-talker, is making an effort to adopt the style that has proven successful in boxing. We can't deny that it's not just about winning fights; having an effective marketing strategy is crucial.

Most likely, but I doubt that Marlon style is to trash talk, on the contrary, leading up to the fight with  Akhmadaliev, you will not hear anything from him. On the contrary it was Murodjon who says that he is going to knock out Marlon and then looking for a unification fight with Inoue.

It's understandable that he's taking a different approach now that he's a champion and involved in a high-stakes unification fight. Building hype and marketing is an integral part of professional boxing, and it can lead to more significant financial rewards. Even though he's engaging in trash talk, his goal is to capitalize on the moment and make the most out of this opportunity. If he wins, it would undoubtedly solidify his position and increase his marketability. However, if he loses, he may have to work his way back up, but the rewards from this high-profile fight are worth the effort.

To engage fans and make them eager to watch the fight, creating interest is essential. Fans can be quite passionate, especially when they hear fighters trading verbal jabs, and that alone is a sign that trash talk has been a successful strategy.

The fight is going to be held in Japan, if this is in the US, yeah maybe they need marketing to reach out to casual fans. But it's not, the fans of Inoue and the Japanese people in general already knows this fight and for sure they are going to watch it and see how their champion will get the belt from Marlon and to unify the super bantamweight division.

How about the PPV? I believe there's a PPV of this fight, and those who aren't able to watch in the venue, they could watch through PPV sponsored by ESPN I think.
1014  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: October 28, 2023, 03:04:11 PM
I have been trying a lot of my bets recently to Tyson Fury winning his boxing match this weekend in order to boost the odds a bit. Hopefully he comes through.

What are the odds you'll get for that fight? Currently, Tyson to win outright is only at 1.05, and 1.18 if he wins by KO. The odds haven't been very attractive, but this bet seems like a lock. Good luck with that. How about Tyson winning by decision? That one is at around 6, isn't it? It could be a significant multiplier for your parlay.

1016  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: You are also like them? on: October 27, 2023, 11:35:16 PM
Either if you like it or not, that doesn't have any effect on people who are making those videos. That's how they are making money and they will do anything to keep that happening. But it is up to you or us to whether trust them or not. As of trading goes, you should never follow others or copy other's work. If you don't do it on your own, then there's no point.

Those squiggly or scribbling lines could be true. Maybe they are good at what they are doing. But why should you follow them? Technical analysis is a process to somewhat predict the future of the market. But it is never 100% accurate and never will be. You can guess it to an extent and that is how people trade. As long as you don't follow those videos or those people then you are good. But if you are foolish enough to trust those videos, then that's a "you"problem.
There’s no problem with well experienced traders as they surely have their own trading analysis and predictions that are more reliable compared to the YouTubers online. But for these new traders that can be easily lured by too good to be true videos, then the problem never stops. That is why trading is actually not for everyone since what we need here are the real knowledgeable and capable traders that can sustain the market’s uncertainty. Not those traders who are more eager with the quick profits that they can obtained from trading, when in reality all they gained are just losses because they’re not capable to make successful trades.

However, we can’t also blame these YouTubers who claim that they know everything about bitcoin. They need that to attract their viewers as they can gain maximum income if a lot of viewers will follow their predictions. But the final decision is already on us whether we find their analysis highly reliable or we just need to focus on our own to achieve better and positive trading results.

1017  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is doubling your investment more probable than we think? on: October 27, 2023, 10:34:30 PM
I don't consider my investment goal to be doubling my money, but rather a return on what I have invested. That's the profit I expect from this investment, but I don't have a definite target when I will take this profit. If the price of bitcoin can reach x2 in the next few months due to halving factors or so on, then maybe I will take some of the profits and keep the rest for a longer period of time.

So far I've consistently accumulation as much as I can, but I only plan to do it until the halving. If the price of bitcoin during the halving has reached $50k, then I will stop accumulation and wait for the best moment to take profits. This is just a plan, but it may still change should the price of bitcoin not exceed $50k at the halving.
You can expect to double your investment returns when you invested earlier at a very affordable price, that is when bitcoin is still at its $20k or below. When bitcoin halving is over, probably we will achieve a price that is close to the last ATH or even exceeds it. However, if you invest just months ago, then I suggest to stay practical on your expected investment returns. As long as you are seeing small profits, regardless of its amount, that is still a profit so you have to take part in selling your coins so you can also enjoy those little profits.

But if asked if you have to sell everything in your portfolio to achieve maximum profits, I believe its your own decision already. No one will manage your investment but only yourself. However, if you ask me, If am not in a situation that badly needs a huge amount of profits, then I will never decide to sell all my coins so I can still enjoy the future profits of my remaining investment.
1018  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin for everyone? on: October 27, 2023, 09:37:13 PM
I am asking this because not everyone has made tangible profit for holding. Just like myself I end up selling at a loss most times just to solve a problem. Some might be lucky to buy at a low rate and within few weeks or months the price just pumps to their favour. This kept me wondering if Bitcoin is actually for every one or it is a scheme for selected individuals..
This thread has been asked a lot of times but it seems people are still confused if trading is really for everyone. Yes, it's certainly is. But since trading is not easy and should be learned the hard way, then a lot of aspiring traders have develop doubts if they will pursue trading or not knowing the capital requires a decent amount and yet you are just going to lose it in the end.

This is why trading is not for faint hearted individuals. Traders should be brave enough not to fear the losses in trading, as it could be their best motivation to do more good in trading and do more accurate market analysis so they will know how to time the trading market.

It's great to see the results of the poll, indicating that 28% of the posters who voted are honest employees and don't gamble at work. Kudos to each one of you for valuing your time and the salary that your company provides. Such dedication in the workplace is commendable, and it's something we could use more of from gamblers.

Considering this thread has already reached 256 posts, there might still be some of you who haven't voted.

1020  Economy / Economics / Re: What does being rich mean in your perspective? on: October 26, 2023, 11:58:19 PM
It's one of question which differs from person to person. How do you define richness?
Being rich means you know how to manage your expenses and be able to save from time to time. Being rich does not mean that you can flaunt all the luxuries in life, but being rich for me is to live below your means and have no problems in meeting all your needs and wants. And since you are rich, you know how to use your money wisely and create more assets than liabilities.

However, being rich does not only limit into financial aspects. If you are rich, then you have also a rich mindset that will lead you to the life that you desire and an emotional stability that has capacity to maintain the balance even under some stressful circumstances.
