1001  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Time to collect altcoins now or later? on: August 18, 2023, 01:32:31 PM
Planning about collection some MORE altcoins and thats why i manage extra money for that. But market situation is still confusing and today Altcoins dump minimum 10% even more. So is it really right to collect altcoins?  Or another dump will be coming before bull run? Should i postponed my invest or not? I post this in speculation sector cause we can only predict!  And I'll go with the most predicted result
Well, the price is moving up and down but in order to avoid confusion, better consider focusing on altcoins that has a use case rather than looking for gems. We usually got intimidated by the price movement and eventually change our minds but that is normal, we can't change the volatility of the market. The best thing to do is to trust those coins that you think will pump during the bull season and give you a profit. Because if you let your emotions control your mind, the more you become stressful thinking about your investment plan and ended up with nothing.
1002  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 18, 2023, 12:32:57 PM
Quote
While at a basketball camp in China, Harden took to the microphone, stating that “Daryl Morey [the GM of the 76ers] is a liar, and I will never be a part of an organization that he’s a part of.”
https://thesixersense.com/2023/08/17/5-james-harden-76ers-trades-to-teams-nobody-is-expecting/

And given the situation of the 76ers right now, it might be the same reason why Joel Embiid is giving some hint because he doesn't want a team that has other issues rather than focusing on what the should they do to improve the team.

Embiid admitted that Harden helped him become an MVP, so I think Harden is a good teammate. The GM of the 76ers seems to have some problems with the players, as Harden has not encountered issues with the previous teams he played for.

If you all still remember, Harden agreed to a pay cut with a new 76ers contract amounting to $15 million just to help the team improve.
https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nba/news/james-harden-contract-pay-cut-76ers/echtei2ilj3bks5foleduyv1

So, not only is Harden a team player, but he is also unselfish.
1003  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is regulations among the key factors that affect the price of Bitcoin on: August 18, 2023, 10:14:44 AM
We often ask why it affects badly on the price and this is because we thought that our transactions become limited and huge taxes. Most of us care about our privacy and when it was regulated by the government, we gonna lost them all. But I don't think this would be the reason for stepping away from Bitcoin because, in the first place, regulations have also helped to minimize scams and fraudulent activities around. If some people are against this and think about it negatively, some also see it positively.
1004  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is copy trading a legit way of income for beginners or just a marketing tactic? on: August 17, 2023, 09:25:45 PM
Copy trading OP is really a good way for newbies to learn about trading but we couldn't say that newbies can earn money from that as it depends on where they get it. What I mean is that it depends on the source of information because many people had fallen into the wrong group pretending that they are good at this but yes, they're making nonsense. Although I don't discourage for newbies to do copy trading at least they know who the person that they are following or else, this will give them a nightmare and the wrong direction.
1005  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 17, 2023, 03:46:47 PM
So much for the Process then, Lol. Sixers has given him the support, but I guess when he won the MVP already, it made him think to chase the ring and not any individual accolade. And it's hard to see Joel leaving the Sixers, but I guess if he wanted to get out then there's nothing that the management can do.

Just weird though that the destination they want is Houston? Although Harden has a good years run in Houston, but it doesn't make sense for Embid to follow his team mates there though. Does Joel has a connection with the city of Houston?

There are contrary rumors that Embiid is quite happy to be in the 76ers. By the way, I also don't understand why this is about the Rockets. Embiid's value as a player is very high right now because he's a current MVP. So it seems to me that the Rockets have nothing to hope for because they actually have nothing to offer the 76ers for him. Furthermore, Embiid will obviously not be interested in such a trade because the Rockets are still an underdog team.

The Rockets are currently in a rebuilding phase. Although they have acquired Fred VanVleet and Dillon Brooks, this team is still not considered a championship contender. Embiid is a superstar currently in his prime, much like Jokic. If the 76ers were to decide to trade him, they would undoubtedly ensure they receive the right value for Embiid. This might involve acquiring a bundle of players or a superstar who can contribute at a level similar to Embiid's, though there's currently no such player available on the market.

Is it possible to see a Lillard and Embiid trade? Which team would benefit the most if this unlikely scenario were to occur?
1006  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin best option to invest on: August 17, 2023, 02:17:27 PM
Well, it is somehow not bad to sell some land properties in order to invest in Bitcoin, but it depends on how the person handles the sale of those properties.
Well for me I will not sell my land property to invest in bitcoin but I will use half of the land to get a collateral loan and invest the Loan money on bitcoin, lands are also an investment, in future that 1 piece of land might worth millions of naira but today 1 Bitcoin doesn't worth millions of dollar, it take more than 10 Bitcoin to worth millions of dollar today but we are all hoping for bitcoin to reach that stage when 1 bitcoin can Worth millions of dollars.
If we want to sell some of our properties to invest in in Bitcoin I will prefer selling car or a motorcycle because these things are also a responsibility nowadays, you will have to buy fuel all the time especially now that the cost of fuel in my vicinity is too high.
Indeed, you have the option the most important is that you find a way how to start investing in Bitcoin. It was not necessary to sell anything if we already have enough money to start nor to sacrifice valuable things in our life but somehow, sometimes we gonna do this to seek of new opportunities.
Well, selling our land is certainly not a good idea but some people see it as the best option and I see why, and it is because they believe that investing in Bitcoin will prosper more in their life than having it. Because if I don't get a huge benefit from that land, I also sell it and look for another opportunity.
1007  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Timing and Trading on: August 17, 2023, 01:45:37 PM
Timing isn't impossible but never think that you can do it always.
I've tried scalping and also swing trading, and the result is mixed. What I mean is that sometimes I was too lucky and got perfect timing but sometimes I lose due to unpredictable changes. In scalping, every second is a big deal and as in every second, the price of crypto will move as well. It was too hard to think that we always make a profit from trading and doing whatever we did, losses are still possible.
1008  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - November on: August 17, 2023, 12:54:17 PM
Just imagine the potential headline: Casimero vs. Inoue – a more significant spectacle than Tapales vs. Inoue, especially considering that the former was relatively unknown before his significant upset win.

Before the bolded text could happen, Casimero should first secure a championship belt and the way to do that is to fight Tapales on either the WBA or IBF belt but that possibility is so slim because those sanctioning bodies have already given the clearance to Tapales to fight for the unification so Casimero vs Inoue would likely to happen after the Tapales fight.

After Tapales' fight? What if Inoue wins and decides to move up in weight? So, there's still a risk that the anticipated fight might not happen. Let's assume the sanctioning bodies have already given clearance for the unification fight, but what about the issue of purse split? What if the camps of Inoue and Tapales cannot agree on the terms?
There are a lot of scenarios here, just like what you pointed out, he could go up in weight, I mean Inoue after "beating" Tapales and doesn't want to fight Casimero as he has nothing to bring into the table.

Or Tapales not fighting Inoue because they can't agree on anything specially the purse split. And then Inoue doesn't move up in weight and still chase some fights in 122 lbs before decided to go to 126 lbs. But everything rest in his hands, he can decide as he is the A-side fighter here. Just offer a decent purse for Tapales and he will be on the way to become a unified champion again.

If he chooses to entertain challengers, then I believe Casimero's chances of getting a fight with Inoue are high. So, I think that's a better path than fighting Tapales, whom I believe he will beat his fellow champion and unify the belts. If he gets all the belts, it will boost his confidence and he will ride the wave of his success. As we usually see, when a fighter becomes a unified or undisputed champion, they often move up and challenge champions in higher divisions. This leaves boxers like Casimero, who are striving for a shot against the monster, in a bad position.

1010  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Meme Tokens Forge a New Era of Crypto Champions? on: August 17, 2023, 06:20:45 AM
Well, I believe that some meme coins are here to stay... and maybe some of them will gain some value over time, but I doubt that we will see meme coins uniting under one umbrella, giving each other unique pokers and traits. That even sounds funny.

At least I can't imagine this happening, but the crypto world keeps surprising me from time to time... so who knows what will happen with meme coins in the near or far future.
Other than DOGE, I don't see any of them staying around for a very long term as they will most probably die away in a couple of cycles because people won't be investing in them once they are totally out of the hype. Even if they don't completely die, they will not be seen in the top charts or in spot markets unless someone uses the search feature to find them in a centralized exchange. Meme coins are not strong enough to survive extreme bear markets.

DOGE is only so famous and running for so many years because Elon Musk has been hyping it throughout the years and people used to trust it because it never really crashed so severely but has been gaining value little by little, most people already have forgotten that DOGE is also a meme coin.
Thought Dogecoin exist before EM participation but honestly, without him, this project is possibly been dead already. But, something good happened as EM save this project, well, we can also say that he also benefited a lot from this project even without telling us.
Doge, Siba, and Pepe are the most popular meme coins these days, they become famous now because of the hype but yes, something we need to be prepared for as well especially those who are holding them as it possibly dumps when meme season is off.
1011  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What factors contributed to the absence of price change after the Litecoin halvi on: August 16, 2023, 10:30:35 PM
Why didn't the Litecoin halving affect the price this time? In the past, halvings led to higher prices, but now there are no clear results. I'm puzzled about the reasons behind this. Please help me analyze.
When halving comes we then think about it giving a positive impact and possible price increase but Litecoin is different from Bitcoin which is certainly it gains much impact and increases demand which causes a price rally. If we never see a price increase of Litecoin after halving, therefore, there is only one reason that it causes it and that is because people had no interest in this project.

On the other hand, we have to stop overthinking that halving would give a price surge, not anymore. Even in Bitcoin, we can't assure that it will be going to happen next year. However, we are too positive because of the huge support coming from the community which is a big factor.
1012  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: can Bitcoin provide food for our table on: August 16, 2023, 09:57:56 PM
In short, it is our effort that brings food in our table.  Bitcoin is just one of the currencies we received from that services so I think it isn't correct to think that it is the Bitcoin that gives our food to our table.
In real life also we have to earn food for ourselves like by working and earn money similarly for Bitcoin also you have to do some work or put efforts to acquire it any way you find possible whether it's investment or you want to earn it.It is a currency as well as investment asset which can bring you anything you want we can measure in terms of money.
It can provide us with the sense of making a profit coming from investing in Bitcoin but if we do nothing or invested wrong, losses are what we gonna get.
In fact, many people become rich from investing in Bitcoin, many lives had changed, and many more as long as we are smart people. Perhaps, the idea is good but too risky, especially for those who never understand and of course, for those people who just think easy money and profit quickly as this will never work for them.
1013  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Regis Prograis vs Devin Haney on: August 16, 2023, 01:44:47 PM
Yes, I like that Haney too will be the favorite and see if he can hold that odds or maybe there will be swing odds for Prograis as there could be smart money that is going to Regis because they know the weakness of Devin and as we have said, this is a very different weight class for him and he might not be able to stand against big punchers on welterweight.

Or if he can get away from the power punches early, maybe in the later rounds when he is tired and reflex down, Prograis can find that hole and deliver that one punch that can change the complexion of the fight in his favor.

Haney is moving up, challenging himself to test his limits. However, Regis Prograis is a boxer who lost to Josh Taylor and had a disappointing performance against Teofimo Lopez. So, considering that Haney is a more tactical fighter and probably quicker, I already have a good idea of where to lean in this match. The odds for Regis Prograis might be enticing, but as long as the odds for Haney are reasonable, I won't be tempted to bet on Regis Prograis.
1014  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 - Betting and Discussions on: August 16, 2023, 12:47:39 PM
If upset would happen, it would nice if Phlippines would win in this bracket.  Smiley
And there you go. Grin
My neighbors here keep on telling me the Philippines don't have any chance to win that group but I am against them. I really want them to see that they can also be a competitive team by using their speed and skills.

The chance of an upset happening is very slim, so it's indeed a gamble if we bet on the Philippines. However, since I just want to enjoy watching the game and support them at the same time, maybe I'll consider following my heart rather than my head. LOL... In this situation, it's hard not to be biased, as the FIBA World Cup doesn't happen every year. Let's see, maybe it will pay off, or maybe not—who cares?

By the way, Philippines has not yet revealed their final 12,

SBP to reveal Gilas Pilipinas Final 12 on August 23

They are making an effort to ensure they have the best players to represent the country, but I have doubts. Politics might still influence the selection process, with players who have connections being given the opportunity to play. I would love to be proven wrong, but that's the scenario I foresee. Anyway, let's not dwell on that.

If we're being realistic and evaluating the team's chances within the same bracket, the Philippines probably has the lowest chance. However, the fact that we have the home court advantage is a significant factor to consider, and it works in our favor.
1015  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins profits or bank profits, which best? on: August 16, 2023, 12:09:29 PM
Getting into the chances that we can maximize our profit here in crypto compared to the fixed percentage in Banks, it was obvious that crypto is better. But if we are not knowledgeable in the crypto space, losses can be with you. If we think about security assurance that we can get this amount, banks can make it. But if we wanted to earn more, altcoins investment is the best choice. But I gonna tell you that crypto investment is too risky.
Now, it was you who could decide and think about where you fit in.
1016  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How much should I invest in cryptocurrency as a beginner on: August 15, 2023, 09:58:27 PM
Well, I don't think there is a limitation on how much to spend as a newbie because even if it was $1,000, $10,000 as long as you can afford to lose that money, that is still okay. But of course, I encourage them not to put in a huge money right away, we just think that we are still in the learning stage and probably we gonna lose them. So if we think $500 is enough, then go for it. The most important is that you will never regret whatever happens after. We can learn more if never limit ourselves but yeah, learning is quite expensive.
1017  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Passive income with crypto on: August 15, 2023, 01:39:05 PM
Hey guys! I've been in crypto for a while but since it's bear market I'm curious: are there any services where you can earn passive income in crypto, except lending?
If you know, share your experience, please.
There is nothing to find like that here- passive income. You can somehow earn a profit in the crypto space but thinking we could call it passive income, ain't possible. Why? It is because of the volatile nature. Prices went up and down, and you can't even expect you can earn every day or this amount monthly, unlike in a business where you can possibly hit the target daily or monthly.
Crypto investment is just a side hustle, you can earn from here and you possibly lose as well. You can't control the market situation and so the profit that you get.
1018  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 15, 2023, 01:06:06 PM

Have you forgotten about Paul George's injury? I think his injuries were far worse than Leonard's, but look where he is now. He is still playing like a true star.

Who could forget that? It's one of the worst injuries, and at one point, I thought PG wouldn't be able to come back anymore. But he did well; he was able to come back and perform like his usual self, which is in contrast to the case of Derrick Rose. However, I'm no expert. Although Leonard's injury doesn't look as severe, I still consider it very serious since it was an ankle injury, and that area is quite sensitive. Once a player has a history of injury, it becomes easier to reinjure again.
1019  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 - Betting and Discussions on: August 15, 2023, 12:09:32 PM
A good center would certainly be a big help for the team. KAT is not only a good center, but he is also one of the NBA superstars, so I'm sure he will be able to use his size to dominate the paint. The Philippines has a big player in Kai Sotto, with a height of 7'2", but he is not at an NBA caliber level yet. He is still young and in the developmental stage. Therefore, KAT could really dominate if he wants to.

This event is significant for the Philippines. With a team that lacks NBA-caliber players, they will need the support of the crowd. I'm pretty sure we will witness a sold-out crowd.

Dominican Republic is the team that the Philippines has a high percentage of winning but with the addition of Karl Anthony Towns, that possibility turn to very slim. Kai Sotto may contain him for a little while but with his experience in the NBA, KAT would wreck havoc in the paint and event on the perimeter sometime into the game so I'm not expecting anymore that Gilas chalked up a win in group A.

That's the reality: the Philippines' chances are very low compared to the talent of the Dominican Republic; they certainly seem to be the better team. I found some betting odds for the game, but I'm not sure if they're correct. The odds are as follows:

Dominican Republic - 1.2
vs.
Philippines - 4.75

1020  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Free NFTs real or fake? on: August 14, 2023, 09:48:03 PM
I was certain OP that it was a scam attempt. Well, you can try converting it to fiat money if it is possible but if that will address you a new site that needs to pay something in exchange, definitely that was a big scam. It happens to other people like someone saying they have accidentally sent their token to your wallet and then asking for money so you'd never have to send it back to them. And this scenario can be like that and I believe that NFT has no market value. You have to be careful mate because if you analyze carefully, it was hard to believe someone give you that amount without informing you.
