So much for the Process then, Lol. Sixers has given him the support, but I guess when he won the MVP already, it made him think to chase the ring and not any individual accolade. And it's hard to see Joel leaving the Sixers, but I guess if he wanted to get out then there's nothing that the management can do.
Just weird though that the destination they want is Houston? Although Harden has a good years run in Houston, but it doesn't make sense for Embid to follow his team mates there though. Does Joel has a connection with the city of Houston?
There are contrary rumors that Embiid is quite happy to be in the 76ers. By the way, I also don't understand why this is about the Rockets. Embiid's value as a player is very high right now because he's a current MVP. So it seems to me that the Rockets have nothing to hope for because they actually have nothing to offer the 76ers for him. Furthermore, Embiid will obviously not be interested in such a trade because the Rockets are still an underdog team.

Although they have acquired Fred VanVleet and Dillon Brooks, this team is still not considered a championship contender. Embiid is a superstar currently in his prime, much like Jokic. If the 76ers were to decide to trade him, they would undoubtedly ensure they receive the right value for Embiid. This might involve acquiring a bundle of players or a superstar who can contribute at a level similar to Embiid's, though there's currently no such player available on the market. Is it possible to see a Lillard and Embiid trade? Which team would benefit the most if this unlikely scenario were to occur?

I don’t think Damian Lillard and Joel Embiid trade is actually going to happen. They’re just a lot of factors to consider. My personal opinion is that Damian Lillard has been a better player so far. But he is definitely a little older, probably four years older compared to Joel Embiid. So if we think like that, we have to say that Joel Embiid has much more to give his team and is a stable pick. Notwithstanding, Damian Lillard undeniably exhibits remarkable skills. But the problem is I don’t know for how long he is actually going to be able to perform at the top level of competition. But in case this trade does happen, I will say that the Portland Trail Blazers are probably going to be the one who will be happier.

I still do not think that Houston is the right place for neither Embiid nor Harden. Houston shouldn't accept that, yes I understand you would instantly become a team that would be in playoffs right away, and even have a chance to battle it out and go very far. However, that would be only for a few years and not for too long neither, Embiid is getting older and Harden is already at is descend as well, he is not the Harden he used to be at Rockets anymore.
Rockets are building a team that's about to grow together and be well, look at their roster, most of their players are young and if they grow together they could be very good together in the future. Maybe they won't be able to hold all of them together, but they do look good.

I agree, Sixers are not "that" far away from being a championship contender, they just needed to focus on making the team better and they could keep Harden that way. The problem is that Sixers told Harden to get a pay cut so they could get better players to surround him and Embiid in order to win a title, he agreed and then they got nobody. This is why there is a trouble and with Harden gone then why would Embiid stay. I am guessing that Harden will want out because he has been lied to, but if Sixers could manage to get some great players, then Harden could be turned to be happy, might be too late though. This is not a good idea for either side, nobody will get anything out of this.

Who did they think they were going to be able to get? It seems like suddenly the mood in Philly changed with Harden and Embiid wanting out, but they never really said who they were wanting to pick up. I’m not even sure what player would fit with them or who was available that they were wanting. Maybe a trade for Bradley Beal or Chris Paul? Any ideas?

But as far as Joel Embiid goes, I think he has some loyalty to the Sixers team and wouldn't just leave like that.

I’m not sure I understand the point of the in-season tournament but I did just see a suggestion that the winner of the tournament get an automatic playoff berth. That’s interesting…
I’m more 76ers updates from Philadelphia, James Harden is now saying he’s open to play for a different team than just the Clippers. He wants out…
Unlike Dame, he really wanted to play on another team right now in the hope not to waste his skills for the 76ers I wonder what had happened there. I thought they were able to become good buddies with Embiid whom he taught one of his signature moves which is the stepback three. Now that they are having this fuss, that would not be the case anymore. I bet Embiid wouldn't have thought to have alike of Ben Simmon on their team so soon and also wanted to leave the team in a childish way as well. I hope the Philadelphia 76ers already have some plan for Harden after this statement. I read before that there was a personal fallout between James Harden and Daryl Morey which needs both of them to go on separate ways. Now it is getting uglier as the saga continues. I guess Joel Embiid has no issue with Harden. Embiid also showed hints of wanting out of Philly as well so it's like he is also not happy with the current team. Philly has a lot of stuff to do these days and they seem to be heading into a rebuilding process in case Embiid will put pressure for a way out. I began to wonder which team offers the best for an Embiid trade. Are we seeing another team with a trio or more superstars?

I think it's a cool idea, but for different reasons. If I read correctly, every player of the winning team of the tournament gets 500000$ in prize money. So imagine you are a rookie or whatever, on a minimum contract. The 500k make a HUGE difference in your annual salary. The big names of course couldn't care less but for the bench players this is a nice pay day. Of course the journey is long, but it's a nice opportunity.

The question is what teams are going to be interested to acquire Harden. And it make sense as Clippers is already loaded with Kawhi, PG and Westbrook. So he might not have his playing team if he goes to Clippers. And perhaps Clippers are not interested as well that's why they are not going to chase Harden and this could be the reason why Harden is open to play for any team now. So very much the situation is unclear for us, and now we can speculate as what them he wanted after Clippers and that is Houston.

I haven't looked into it yet but how would they get an automatic berrth? Wouldn't that leave an uneven amount of teams from the eastern and western conferences. And I guess about the money you are right. You might see more of the young guys balling out in that game for that money. Imagine the guys who are on a 10 day contract or something lol. They'd be balling in those games

Which we sort of get already with the NBA rising stars game during the All-Star weekend. But this will NEVER happen because no teams want any of their players to be at risk unnecessarily. Doing an in-season tournament might be fun for us, but I highly doubt any team owners are interested in anything like this.

Moving back to Harden, playing outside Phily might be hard if there's no team that will acquire him and offer a trade. He needs or his camp needs to work on someone outside Phily that will bring him out, so far no update yet with his drama.

That is why the Houston Rockets aren't even bothered by the speculations because they know that it will be a total waste of time and money too if they will try and allocate both Embiid and Harden into their roster because both may be useful enough but just like you said, that will not be for long as both of them is starting to decline specially Harden. Also, it will be a hefty trade for the Rockets if they will try and they will surely regret it if they will.

Why need to acquire both if they can get one of them and I guess Embiid will be the perfect catch for them knowing that he can possibly blend together with current young roster of Rockets. If they push to get Harden back to their team maybe they will get the same issue as before so to avoid any issues especially that can bother their team maybe they should pass on taking Harden and find another reliable star which doesn't have same issue so that they can fully focus on their games.

Any ideas? We never know because right now, things are still messy that we cannot even understand what is truly happening inside the Philly because I think Harden's trade request is just the tip of the iceberg as there is a big possibility that Joel Embiid might want to get out too because he surely doesn't want to waste his season on a team that don't know what to do mainly now that the Philly's hands are tied and they certainly did not expected this to happen, at all, not this early. If trade talks will happen, from the articles that I've read maybe the Sixers will be the 3rd team to participate in the negotiations between the Portland and Heat because this trade as well is not even moving. But as I said, we never know what will happen next, let's just expect the unexpected.

And if we look at Harden's career though, he has history of asking for trade, so I wouldn't be surprised if he is actually asking it or the news is real. And maybe Philly is caught off guard with this request and not it's become messy as the name of Joel also resurfaces. So it could be true or not, we will never know until it's became officially or someone drops the news to us, someone close to Philly or even some players. If trade talks will happen, from the articles that I've read maybe the Sixers will be the 3rd team to participate in the negotiations between the Portland and Heat because this trade as well is not even moving. Thanks for this news, I haven't read it. All we know is that Dame wanted out, that's the real deal and he wanted to go to Miami. But to be able to facilitate it, yeah, maybe they need another team like Philly to get involved in this blockbuster trade.

They got Tucker with that pay cut that Harden did, and he did well at least as a role player. The problem is Harden himself because he choked at the time when the Sixers needed him the most, and that is Game 7 against the Celtics. He made the winning shot in Game 6, but was almost non-existent in Game 7. It wasn't Harden that's the problem at that time, but Harden himself. They've got good role players that season. With regards to Embiid, he will stay for another season with the Sixers, and if there is still no development, or progress in terms of their performance in the playoffs, it's almost certain that he will request a trade to another team. Overall, Harden will play with the Sixers, and he must play or his value will go lower. "NO" teams want him anymore, and if there is, they probably are trying to negotiate with the Sixers already. I mean Harden is an all-star player, but his drama is too much to handle for the team, and it's much worse than Irving IMO. On the other hand, I will not be surprised if there will be teams that will be interested in Harden especially those championship caliber teams right now.

Either Embiid will request a trade, or he will get traded. Given what's going on within the organization, there's a likelihood that Embiid might not stay with the 76ers. Just consider what might happen to the 76ers' season if Harden sits out, since the management doesn't plan to trade him. Do we think Embiid will be happy with that? Next season will likely be a determining factor in Embiid's decision, as this team lacks a long-term plan and struggles in taking care of its players.
Well, If James Harden is not going to likely stay because even if they Ban James Harden from leaving the Philadelphia 76ers then I think it is not a great chemistry if they would let Harden Stay and he doesn't have a good relationship with the President of the 76ers Daryl Morey for the meantime, so it is not going to be a good idea to still kept Harden, and if this will not be fixed then Joel Embiid will likely want to be traded to other teams, but Joel Embiid would likely want to win a championship next season, and have also said that he wanted to play for the Golden State Warriors with Stephen Curry, You know, I would like to think that my judgement were right after all but I still can't because I just don't have enough or concrete details yet to confirm whether there is something wrong inside the Philly or not, maybe it has existed already since last season that there is going on in their locker room that we didn't know because they are still trying to work things out.
What they are doing right now is just giving some clues and leave the public curious or should I say confused because after they fired Doc Rivers, almost everything has been shattered into places and I think as well that it is one of the reasons why Harden wanted to get out and most probably, Embiid as well.
The President of the 76ers Daryl Morey is like have something beef with James Harden for sure that is why it is likely a war inside the Philadelphia 76ers, right now because of the President and Harden, it is a clash and Harden keeps on saying that Morey has likely lie to him for getting his salary cut without further improvements for the team, well it is not likely that simple indeed, but I think James Harden likely really want out, while Embiid is hanging on the balance,

And because of the issues that happened inside like Morey is not really giving some improvements to the roster, this happened recently. While at a basketball camp in China, Harden took to the microphone, stating that “Daryl Morey [the GM of the 76ers] is a liar, and I will never be a part of an organization that he’s a part of.” https://thesixersense.com/2023/08/17/5-james-harden-76ers-trades-to-teams-nobody-is-expecting/And given the situation of the 76ers right now, it might be the same reason why Joel Embiid is giving some hint because he doesn't want a team that has other issues rather than focusing on what the should they do to improve the team.
