1001  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: DCORP Crowdsale - Democratizing Venture Capitalism on: June 18, 2017, 11:07:26 AM
Im a bit curious about the progress, since the main objective is to reach the 9,5 milion euros, my question is relative to eth funds, does the value counst when the tokens has been purchased or at the actual value of the coin? Congratulations because the ammount is very close to be reached if im not wrong.

Ethereum price does affect dcorp funds, due to the higher rate of ethereum compare to euro make it worth slightly more or less according to eth : Eur exchange rate. Since the first day of dcorp crowdsale,  over €269 Million has been raised. There are two weeks left for everyone take this chance to become shareholder and get benefits from projects that has been funded by decentralized corporation.
1002  Economy / Economics / Re: The legalization of bitcoin. on: June 18, 2017, 09:23:35 AM
Do you think if we create an initiative group for the legalization of bitcoin. To find uninhabited island, to announce the collection of funds for its acquisition. Everyone who contribute will receive a piece of this island. Based on the state of Bitcoin official currency of this state to make a bitcoin. Do you like this idea?

My first thought when I read the tittle, oh it may about how to support legalization of bitcoin in some countries. But lol, it's totally different compares to what Op mentioned above, to buy an island? You should change the title of your thread man.

There will be few people that might be interested, depends on the location of the island, idea to share it, how much it costs and for what purpose/benefits to collect bitcoin from many people to buy an island?
I won't invest obviously, the island may not so important for me in the future, except if the idea is really really good.
1003  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC will up. dont worrry on: June 18, 2017, 07:21:49 AM
Bitcoin really fluctuate during this week after dropped back to $1860 last month even though it ever recover to $2900 USD once in this month. Well, what do we expect? It is a normal day in bitcoin environment due to traders buy and sell at their discretion.
But, I don't worry about it, I have my funds secure for another rise, hopefully. When some good news appears to the surface, people will speculate and bitcoin price will skyrocket again.

Right now, the highest rate of bitcoin are on South Korea and China exchanges over $2800 per 1BTC. While other exchanges set around $2500-$2700 USD, seems Asian countries leading the way.
1004  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is a Malfunctioning Prototype of Litecoin on: June 17, 2017, 11:02:47 PM
Let's face it: Litecoin does everything properly which Bitcoin is supposed to do. With real developer, not some shadowy cartoon character, it is weird it's not valued properly.

I think it should be valued at least 1/10th of bitcoin's price, meaning $250 as we speak.

Litecoin is not some 'trying to do everything type of neo-dot-com-vapor-promise-tech to revolutionize the way we can poop anonymously' etc but rather a functioning payment system and very solid and stable store of value.

Because litecoin has been activated segwit? Its confirmed faster and low fees?
What about if bitcoin activated segwit as well, what will happen? Hopefully those problems will be resolved.

Litecoin price still undervalue, simply because its demand isn't so much as bitcoin or ethereum demands.
Why? Because not many people attracted to litecoin as much they want to buy bitcoin or other (high price/promising) coins.
1005  Economy / Economics / Re: How to TAX Bitcoin. An easy way ! on: June 17, 2017, 08:22:07 PM
In my country, I have to fill a form every year for the tax department, including my year end bank statement and the salary bill.
Together with some major bills for insurance and healthcare, that's all they get.

So I can hide cash under the bed, or have an overseas account, or have some Gold bars, etc. The goverment has to thrust me quite a bit.
They can check some transfers, but if you like to hide it, you can do it.

So the actual way of getting the real numbers is quite bad.

In Bitcoin
If the Tax department makes it a rule by law, that you have to report every BTC address you own, or every wallet you own ...

All problems solved, because then the Department has also the addresses of the petrol station and the deli you spend money.
In no time the system knows which tax counts here and can claim the respective amount from both sides.

Sure it is still possible to hide Bitcoins, but then it is illegal.

...or did I miss something?

Nice strategy to avoid taxes, but I think there are more ways to invest money into several commodities or stocks to make it doubled.
Gold bars is a good one than just store fiat money which always losses its value due to inflation.

In Bitcoin
If the tax department make a rule to get tax from bitcoin, they cannot get from people who don't want to report their addresses. Govs can't track it because it's anonymous feature of a wallet which we do not need to register the id.
The best way they could get taxes is from local exchanges that located in the country, such as coinbase in USA.
1006  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SegWit and Hardfork on: June 17, 2017, 02:37:54 PM
Quote for reference.

I'm wondering, how could you know all of those things that you've explain to us in this forum.
You must read and learn a lot of things regarding bitcoin, thanks for share.
i have been around for years
i dont browse reddit
i dont browse reddit and then spend months just believing the reddit dribble.. i spend those months others waste, by looking beyond the scripts and learning the inner details. the beyond the smoke and behind the mirrors. the facts beyond the fiction

So, I want to ask you Mr. franky1 ; what kind of solution that you think could be solved bitcoin problems, about so many unconfirmed transaction and we have to pay high fees? but still, we have to wait for a long time to get it be confirmed.
I'm sorry if you have mentioned and explained it before. Thanks

with everyone throwing different split proposals (yep even bip9 does also reject/orphan off pools/blocks)
it just makes logical sense if the blockstream/DCG aka BScartel all envisioning different methods to kill pools/blocks to fake a majority to activate segwit..

we might aswell come to the conclusion.. between august 2017 and late 2018 segwit will inevitably be forced to activate via one split or other as no unanimous compromise can be made using the BScartels multiple bait and switch plans

so lets just skip all the 2merkle block inside a block cludges, skip all the math manipulation and blockcount manipulation.. afterall
bscartel think that a user activated thing can happen between august-november. which debunks their 'it takes 18 months' notion

and so just do a proper 1merkle block full network upgrade.

go back to the 0.12 template.. and then

make the block consensus dynamic during runtime (meaning no more years of dev pleading) with a starting point of 4mb block..

also add/adjust
tx's limited to 4k sigops or less
tx bloat is limited to well well under 100kb
all the other things like thin/weak blocks are added
all the other keypair types like schnorr

and then set a date when it all goes live(far sooner then18 months)

then segwit AND native keypairs equally sit side by side in the same area.

and then have pools do what they have done for years, increment below the consensus limit*

*eg imaging 4mb as the old 1mb.. where pools then incremented within that from 0-0.999(meaning incrementing1mb-4mb)
.. which then when nearing the 4mb, the nodes at runtime without dev involvement decide the new upper limit

that way pools are subject to a limitation empowered by nodes. as a second safety barrier of which NODE capability decides

Well, thanks for your explanation. It mean you propose;  an upgrade to 4Mb blocksize?
make the block consensus dynamic during runtime (meaning no more years of dev pleading) with a starting point of 4mb block..

Which one from all of those (whether segwit or else which some people/devs have proposed solution (fixed nodes)) that at least close to your opinion franky1? That you think it will going better for bitcoin development.
1007  Economy / Speculation / Re: ITT: We laugh at idiot HODLers [OFFICIAL THREAD] on: June 16, 2017, 09:06:13 AM
Here we laugh at idiot hodlers who are too dumb to sell the peaks and buy the dips and instead hodl like the stupid meme sheep they are.

So DUMB!!!

A hodler doesn't lose any money as long as he doesn't sell!

haahahahhHAHAHAH SUCH STUPID COPING MECHANISM

YES, HOLD ON TO YOUR MAGIC INTERNET MONEY AS ITS VALUE DROPS BY THE SECOND

SUCH STUPIDITY, YOUR FAMILY WILL HATE YOU

So, what is it to laugh about? Regarding people who holds their bitcoin for long term or short term still get profits as well, I don't find any funny thing on them.
Since you are so confident about your trading skills, you should add some trading results about your daily profits. And give explanation or advice to sell or buy whatever coins you have. People will appreciate it than just talked without proof or  helping each other.
1008  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A newbies portfolio - hold hold hold or get some BTC ? on: June 15, 2017, 09:35:12 PM
I can't see it, page not found.
If you have some amount of bitcoin, divide into some altcoins is not bad. Furthermore, ethereum has significant increase within this month and may keep increasing due to many projects used it as medium of exchange. I think ethereum could reach over $400 in the next month if it still has steady increases.
1009  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: $8 fee? for a $73 transaction? Really what the fuc is going on? on: June 15, 2017, 09:14:35 PM
I noticed the same, few days ago, 5€ for moving 50€ in BTC from my wallet to an exchange...

That's why you can change the fees but be carefull because smaller fees will greatly increase the transaction time.
In my case, when i putted 0.0005 BTC as fee, my transaction took nearly 3 days ! with 0.001 BTC it took a few hours.

It's a matter of balance between your imperatives, patience and the money you are ready to waste in exchange of time.

Well, it's about waiting time, patience and your money to spend, lol   Grin
For people who willing to pay more fees to get their transaction be confirmed as fast as possible, it's fine.
But for people who don't want to be wasteful, high fees is not an option, so you have to pay low fees but deal with the time which could take days to confirmed.
1010  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it possible for the bitcoin to lose it's value ? on: June 14, 2017, 11:59:15 PM
Hi , I'm new so basically I still have a lot to learn about the cryptocurrency , but I would like to know if it would be possible for the bitcoin to start the downfall ? I mean like what scenario can happen that the bitcoin would be pushed back like 5-6 years ?
Sorry if my post is in the wrong place or it's not relevant.

You're right, there's small chance that bitcoin will lose its value as the founder ever stated it, such as ; bitcoin will rise or lose its value in 20 years. But, I can't find any scenario why bitcoin could crash and lose all of its value, I mean bitcoin price already reach over $3000 and many people keep buying and more adopters join the community. Look at Japan which has legalized bitcoin as legal payment, many companies in there accepted bitcoin transaction, even an airline. That what makes it could survive another 5-6 years later.
1011  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin goes to the moon on: June 14, 2017, 11:53:09 PM
I think that Bitcoin is really destined to reach the stars and not just the moon. Yes, after the dumping period, Bitcoin can have a stellar rise again and this time can go as far as 6K though realistically it can more than 3K this time. When will that happen? Well, that remains to be seen. Some are predicting that it can reach the stars early 2018. So we have to hold to our Bitcoin no matter small they might be.

after Japan accepted bitcoin, the price of bitcoin become skyrocket, and reached to 3000$ after that the price remain stable for some time and was trading from 2700$ to 3000$ although currently the price of bitcoin is trading a little low, but  I think if we hear another good news about bitcoin, or any other country will accept bitcoin then the price of bitcoin is expected to reach to 4000$ in few days, and then we will clear see that the price is now reached to the stars.

Honestly, I'm still wondering what goes to the moon is  Huh If bitcoin price always increases around $100-$200 a day or what?
Whatever is it, bitcoin can not always rise without any correction because people always want to get profits through its price.
Bitcoin could rise again if some whales invest on bitcoin but after certain point, they will cash out their funds and others will follow to panic sell.
1012  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I invest in etherum on: June 14, 2017, 11:46:52 PM
Don't you know about the first rule of investing? Do not put all eggs in one basket, divide your funds into bitcoin and ethereum, like 50:50 or whatever you want just in case if one of it rise or crash. And you should have backup funds besides what you want to invest, backup funds used for your daily needs, pay bills, etc, and for anything that you have to pay. I think ethereum will increase in this year until certain point than it would be decrease, but I don't think ethereum could surpass bitcoin price.
1013  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to know about next pump? on: June 14, 2017, 11:39:14 PM
I am keen to know how to find which coin is going to get pumped next and when.
Is it possible to know for sure?has anyone here predicted accurately about next pump?
Yes it is possible, if you have a friends here that will update you about the coins that are going to pump.
Because there is a big group who doing this things. Including myself I had a friend who's always giving me an update
about it.

So, we have find you as your friend always told you about next pump. What kind of altcoins do you hold? Which coin will be pump next?
Usually people just speculate and guess based on their experiences and knowledge about altcoins that could be pumped, but to know about it, you should research by yourself. I know a group that use vote to decide which coin that they will pump, maybe you can use search button and looking for it  Grin
1014  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First Bitcoin on: June 14, 2017, 11:19:55 PM
This is the question to all who have at least one bitcoin and did not bought it. How long did it actually took you to own one bitcoin?
Only to people who accumulate bitcoin with either services, or earn through signature campaigns etc.
Asking because I'm interested in knowing the average time to make one bitcoin?

It's hard to collect one bitcoin without offer services or sell something, I just get bitcoin through signature campaign and has been collecting for months but never make 1 btc because sometimes I have to sell some to cover my daily expenses.
So, in my last calculation, I guess could someone could earn and saving bitcoin at least 5 months to achieve 1btc if they just collect it from sig-camp.
1015  Economy / Economics / Re: So, you want to be rich? All of you ? on: June 14, 2017, 10:47:45 PM
Op imagination is too far away from the truth I guess, fortunately not everyone will be rich and there will be always many people who make money less than others. Parents should parent their children and do not let robots do it, lol.
I agree that bitcoin can't make all of us rich as hell because people tend to sell their bitcoin as soon as they think already get profits.
Who can make more money from cryptocurrencies have to manage their funds for long term investment and make some business to get monthly passive income as Op mentioned.
1016  Economy / Economics / Re: Cashless society on: June 14, 2017, 05:49:21 PM
There are some advantages of cashless society such as reduce illegal activities because govs could trace every transaction goes through the network. But, some people who don't do such things still don't want their transaction being tracked every day, I don't like it either.
And there's always possibilities of digital money get hacked like what happens in cryptocurrency world before, a thief can manipulate the users to get their private key and password. So, I prefer to physical money for daily transaction than digital one.
1017  Economy / Speculation / Re: EFT blocked was the day BTC fell off a cliff in market share on: June 14, 2017, 04:04:54 PM
Seems a perfect timing for ETH market, people waiting to for SEC to say yes for Bitcoin ETF but rather they got no so fund move somewhere, and a perfectly timed UN distribution to some refugees using ETH.  A perfect timing indeed, but I do not think that Bitcoin really need this ETF, we have seen several sample where ETF approval does not always bring good thing.

What do you mean? Really need ETF but its approval doesn't always bring good thing? Your words at cross purposes.
It has been proven that ETF news made bitcoin price increases, but I didn't heard anything about last ETF review by SEC on May 15th, anyone could enlighten about it?
However, even though without ETF, bitcoin still rise steadily every year, it just time matter until more investors decide to invest massively on bitcoin with or without SEC approval.
1018  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SegWit and Hardfork on: June 14, 2017, 02:13:20 PM
Softfork - unlikely to cause blockchain split. Hardfork - likely to cause blockchain split.

sorry pawel.. but wrong

soft AND hard can cause splits..

soft just requires pools to do something different that 'should'/'may' not cause issues to nodes, meaning nodes dont just switch off... and nodes dont have to do anything different

hard requires nodes AND pools to do something.. this means everyone has to agree to a change.

a healthy hardfork where everyone agrees, thus does not cause a split. as would a healthy soft fork where everyone agrees thus does not cause a split.

but with all the 'pools rejecting/orphaning' opposing pool drama.. soft can have splits too
and with the nodes banning opposing node drama . hard can have splits too.
...

remember if users(nodes) dont get a vote/veto.. dont have to do anything. its soft
but a UA(user activated) is actually a HF...

anyone saying UASF is just using flawed buzzwording to sooth the sheep to sleep. because it requires users nodes to do something which is the definition of hard fork not soft fork

Maybe you should change the title become ; easy steps for newbie to enter cryptocurrency trading.
I was expected more than just setup guide but it's clear explanation for newbie, who wants to start trading.
I thought it was about how to get profits in trading  Grin it's my bad.
1020  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Vs Litecoin on: June 13, 2017, 06:07:00 PM
Litecoin has significant increases after segwit implemented from $3-$4 to $30 but it seems stuck right there, can't break the $30 barrier. If you invest 1 btc on litecoin when it was $4, than you could get many profits and better to invest on cheaper coin if you don't have bigger budget to invest. Bitcoin has higher price and pretty hard to buy 1BTC and expected so much in the near future. But, for now I prefer bitcoin as it will gain more value in the future than litecoin obviously.
