1041  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What's next? on: June 11, 2023, 02:04:21 PM
One has to stop thinking about "what's next". Traders won't be completely deprived of their trading facilities.
Trading platforms are the best business in this space and all companies will always compete with each other to be the top choice even if they have to go against the wishes of their users in order to comply with regulations. In the end, users will readjust to the new regulatory provisions.
There are many exchanges that are still operating safely so we don't have to worry about even if Binance and Coinbase disappear then there are still other exchanges or other options that can exchange our bitcoins and this is just from the trip where the government is always harassing what they don't like, of course there must be an effect on prices but not completely the market will continue to fall.
I've never been worried about exchange news because my assets have never been stored there, once again what I know about Binance they are still going strong and of course if you leave America and Canada then there are still other countries that can move there.

Yeah there’s a lot of alternative but Binance and Coinbase holdings is enough to brought down the market in case they are force to went down due to this case assuming they will be unsuccessful to defend on their lawsuit.

Lots of Binance and Coinbase investors will surely sell-off like what happened during the FTX failure. Binance and Coinbase are much bigger compared to FTX so the damage on crypto is surely more bigger than the recent Luna and FTX fud combined. I’m hoping that Binance and Coinbase will still operate freely even with this lawsuit.

Here's the question(s): Is there a website where I can buy used mining equipment at a low cost?

Ebay or the forum marketplace is the best place to find best deals for asic miner. @Philipma1957 is oldest member here that I know which mining Bitcoin for a long time. You can get tips or perhaps ask him if he have a spare asic mining rig to sell for you as stater.

And, if I intend to purchase all of the essential equipment using this technique, what is the estimated cost?

The estimated cost will varies based on your target mining power for your setup.

It would also be helpful if you could provide me with a list of the items I will require for mining. Thank you.

You can use this guide for setting up your Asic miner https://cryptominertips.com/bitcoin-asic-mining-guide/

This is the most essential list the you will need for your Bitcoin mining.

1045  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Gambling is different from trading on: June 11, 2023, 10:48:53 AM
While trading is a skill that you will learn and understand the basic factors that can hinder your trading not to be successful, a trader can notice it's mistakes after loss and make corrections while a gambler mistakes can't be corrected because it deals with prediction.

Your analysis of the difference between trading and gambling is on point especially the sentence above. It's simple but meaningful, On gambling you don't have a chance to evaluate your next move since the result is purely based on luck while you can adjust your strategy based on the market condition on trading.

I will add this important info that you forgot. In trading especially spot trading. All loses is just paper loss unless you sold your holdings which means you have a lot of time to recover using same money unlike gambling that you can't recover your losses using your original funds unless you deposit more.
1046  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io|🎉BetFury Affiliate Program is live| 💸Earn with RevShare up to 60% on: June 11, 2023, 08:36:17 AM
Not usual but it can happen, 40 red losing streaks are something that you can't imagine happening if you are the one who's playing, those who are using martingale system who hopes that they can recover their losses after winning their next bet would be empty if that long losing streak take place.
That's why the Martingale strategy requires big money when you really face a losing streak of more than 20x, let alone having to lose 40x in a row, that's definitely a big loss and drains all of our money, that's why I never really believe in dice or casino games others are called "Probably Fair", but again it's up to the gamblers how they stop playing before the dealer drains your money.

Martingale strategy with big bankroll will make your gambling experience worst if ever you ever a losing streak like that or more because you are increasing your base bet exponentially. Thinking how terribe it can be on Martingale strategy makes my spine tingle. Assuming you invest your life savings on your bankroll just to have a room for long lose streak and then this kind of catastrophe hits you hard that wipe your money without you being notice it.

This is the important thing I learned on playing gambling. Just use bankroll that you can afford to lose since this kind of long lose streak can hit anytime since we are always exposed to risk the longer we play.

1047  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: How can i download electrum for Bitcoin storage? on: June 10, 2023, 04:04:55 PM
I’m trying to download electrum to store my Bitcoin as I no longer want to use blockchain anymore since it’s not well secured. I don’t know if I should check on App Store and download electrum from there or I search on goggle?

Using google search to download important application such as wallet is a terrible idea because of the existence of fake website that copying the original website. Some of the phishing websites use google ads to up their website so most likely you will visit one of them if you didn’t know the official website when searching.

Use the forum search bar if you want to research about wallets since all fake websites and scam apps here are always moderated by the mods.

There’s no electrum wallet available on appstore or for ios.

You can use https://bluewallet.io/ as an alternative to electrum on your ios phone.
1048  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: June 10, 2023, 02:41:46 PM

Jokic got a big lift from his teammates, those important baskets in the last quarter where he got his 5th foul.

It's really amazing that those fellas who are playing with Murray are really stepping up,
Gordon and Green with KCP and Brown and Porter Jr all  give their shares to prevent Miami
from making a rally and snatching this game away from them.

Congrats to all, especially those who support the Nuggets in handicap great catch!

It was really a great catch indeed, 1 more game and the Denver Nuggets will be the champion, truly a very great game right now Bruce Brown Jr. and Aaron Gordon made their incredible scoring in this game while Jamal Murray was now the one who switched the job of Jokic with the assist but still he is making those critical shooting when needed it was a great game to watch now I am curious on what the Miami Heat will do in the next game,

It’s not that they switch role with Jokic but he was forced to do that since he was always double team before he can make his moves so his natural reaction will pass the ball on the open teammates to made a shot for him. You can notice how he always hesitated to make a shot because he was on double team. Coach Erik knew how Jamal capable of making a lot of points so he decided to make him force to passed hoping that other players will have a terrible field goal like MPJ and KCP that is still struggling.

Coach Malone made a good adjustment on rotating his bench for MPJ play time since he is not productive on defense and offense while KCP is still good on defense. Nuggets is clearly on different level when Heat doesn’t have their magic 3. Gabe Vincent score only 2 points because of his foul trouble while he is the important player that contributes more on offense.
1049  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🐺WOLF.BET - Advanced Dice Game 🎲 Sportsbook 🏟️ Slots 🎰 on: June 10, 2023, 01:06:58 PM
Done playing on live casino of wolf.bet specifically on evolution gaming.. i just want to comment why there’s only a limited table especially for 10$ and below minimum bet for blackjack. Also the freebet blackjack table for multiple sit is not available which makes my blackjack experience incomplete. I hope there will be some adjustment on this.

Evolution has a limited selection of tables for small bets on every site. I don't think wolfbet limits it. They have lots of tables for bettors who are playing $50 and higher stakes.

I play on Stake, Duelbits and other casino, They are offering bunch of low minimum bet table below 20$ especially Stake with their own exclusive table with 5$. I think the addition of tables is based on the casino preferences because they varies on the tables they offered despite with same provider.

It’s very hard to play on high bet limit for small bankroll player like me. High minimum bet will just erased my bankroll quickly.

The casino decides what the table they want to add based on the demand from their player. They usually have few tables on each bet range and they just add table as per the user demand. This same question is asked on other casino ann thread and they gave that exact answer to players that suggest it.

Probably wolf.bet players preferred high minimum bet table over small minimum bet table. The casino can’t add that specific table without a high demand on it because casino might paying a fee for each table added or else why they will limit it.
1050  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Confident Are You In The Reliability of the KYC system on: June 10, 2023, 11:15:30 AM

is part of what we agreed when we sign up to play in casinos but lately I've been reading a lot of complaints
about casinos on how they accept their players' KYC, is it possible that they can decline a person's credentials even though he swore that he submit all the right documents and even undergo a video call to establish his identity?

Take note, Casinos will ask or demand a KYC if there's a big winning involved, is this one of their ways to scam their players?

The problem on this kind of case is there’s no way for us to determine who’s telling the truth since the KYC documents of the player can’t be published publicly for us to do a verification. If the casino is reputable then I don’t see the point for them to lie or reject someone KYC documents because they have nothing to gain on it.

I experience to undergo KYC many times and some casino use a 3rd party KYC verification that has a very sensitive bot to verify documents. Probably this is the reason why some users is having a problem of KYC .
1051  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The role of Bitcoin in eliminating unemployment in our country on: June 10, 2023, 11:10:24 AM
The current people who have chosen bitcoin as a profession are not only able to help their families financially but also support our country economically through this young generation bitcoin.

Bitcoin is not a profession. Maybe you are pertaining to blockchain developer because that’s were the employment involved and not on Bitcoin since the community owns Bitcoin and not a single entity that will create job. You clearly have a misconception on the use of Bitcoin.

I think the government of our country should support Bitcoin. What is your opinion on this?

I agree on government should support Bitcoin because it’s a great way of payment system and investment in the same time. But again you have a wrong understanding on Bitcoin. It doesn’t create a job. It can be use as payment for the job but it can’t create job itself.
1052  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 09, 2023, 05:22:59 PM
Everybody knows this is the last chance for Heat. If they lose this one I believe the series will be over in Game 5.
When Jokić and Murray play this good Heat need to do something extraordinary both on defense and offense. Hopefully we'll watch a good game tonight.

I agree, the Nuggets will not wait until the next game anymore just to win the whole series because Game 5 will be on their homecourt at Denver, and it is the perfect place to enjoy their first championship trophy. The Heat did a good run until they faced the Nuggets and unfortunately, this will be the Heat's final and last chance as I don't think too that they can still win it back and force another game to extend the series.

We all knew that this is the same scenario before when Boston finally managed to forced game 7 at their home court for this kind of advantage but Miami denied this and win the series. Miami keeps winning away that their home based on their record on this playoffs. I’m rooting for Nuggets here but Miami is still a very dangerous team to consider that they will be eliminated easily on game 5.

I think they can force atleast game 6 since they are capable on making a good run on the second half with their sharp 3 pointer. They should just let Jokic keep scoring until he tired out then recover quickly with their 3 points since they have a lot of players capable on doing it like Robinson, Vincent, Martin and Strus with just enough space.

Also Adebayo shouldn’t be switch when guarding Jokic. This is their weakness since they letting mismatch on Jokic during switch.
1053  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which platform is safe to store Bitcoin and can’t be hacked ? on: June 09, 2023, 03:53:11 PM
Hardware Wallet is the safest device to store your crypto because it can be considered an air-gapped device. Electrum is also safe if you knew exactly how to protect your private key/seed phrase.

I store Bitcoin on blockchain, Binance and trust wallet. I’m just wondering which other platform is safer and more secured? Since all 3 have been hacked before.

But judging on this statement, I think you don't have any idea about custodial and non-custodial wallets so a hardware wallet is the best choice for you since you can't be distinguished what's really safe for your crypto assets. Explore more in the forum to learn more about the safekeeping of your assets. Avoid custodial wallet and exchange because you don't have full control of coins!
1054  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how to get over it on: June 09, 2023, 03:21:14 PM
I’ve turned $1,000 into $100,000
I’ve turned $6,000 into $80,000
I’ve turned $11,000 into $550,000
and recently I’ve turned $4,000 into $90,000

With nothing to show for it…I’m a sharp sports bettor, but I always end up going all in. I can never be satisfied until it’s too late. I always need to go all in.

I’ve been reading comments from my last post (turning $4,000 into $90,000 and losing the entire $90,000), and I can’t help but feel like shit.

How do I get over the countless failures? I’ve been chasing the $1,000,000 dream for years.

This is the very definition of what gambling is, YOLO style. And I thought that it's easy on you mate, but just like any other gamblers, it really hurts to see those money or winning just swept from you because of that one mistake or those that you want to chase.

And it just shows that it's hard to do it, unless you are really lucky and turn your money into $1 million. Your last thread though, for sure everyone is waiting for the good results, unfortunately you also lost that one.

It's easy to forget if it only happened one time but considering the list of OP's good runs to failed YOLO is really frustrating no matter how strong he is to handle his emotion in regards to gambling loss. I think everybody will agree that this amount is already enough to change someone's life and actually he is already close to his goal if he will sum up his final bankroll in case he manages to take a profit. OP has a talent on sports betting, I think he can always bounce back but he needed someone who will guide him or will control him in times when he was itchy to all-in.

@OP, why not launch your own free tipster so that you will have someone to discuss and follow your bets. This way, you will be self-controlled on your bets because you knew that someone is following you.
1055  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wagering requirements for withdraw on: June 09, 2023, 01:44:14 PM
I have recently signed up in a new casino and I'm receiving some bonuses with the wagering requirements we are discussing in this thread. The thing is that I have always thought that very high wagering requirements are abusive, but taking into account that the bonuses I'm receiving aren't linked to any deposit I make, I suppose that it is fair for that "free money" to be used as "test coins" and only be able to withdraw for real money after a very lucky strike. In the meantime, the player gets fun and used to the casino at the same time.

Of course, these bonuses are meant to be the hook for many gamblers, but I don't think this is the same case as other bonuses that depend on the deposited amount of money or, of course, abusive wagering requirements for not bonuses but simple deposits.

I would say that it is essential to familiarize yourself with the site's terms and conditions, withdrawal policies, wagering requirements, and any other relevant information that may impact your ability to get the funds you've earned. Just do it right and take time to read and understand the site's user agreement, so people can make an informed decision and assess whether the platform meets your expectations and aligns well with them.

Fair point. Casino nowadays especially the new one is already modifying their ToS to compensate with their marketing like what the OP experience. Casino offer a bonus without wagering requirements so that players believe that this is a free money while the ToS indicates the wagering requirements is transfer to the deposit which is equivalent too on bonus that have a wagering requirements.

ToS is very tricky. Players should be vigilant on checking first the rules and do a screenshot as much as possible so that they can have proof in case casino alter some of their policy for their own advantage.
1056  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My friend interested in investing in BTC but the friend's father does not agree on: June 09, 2023, 01:38:13 PM
But my friend is not listening and instead he will invest on Bitcoin. I don't know what kind of suggestion I should make to my friend in such a situation. Should I ask my friend to invest in Bitcoin? Or ask to pay more attention to his job?

If Bitcoin is illegal on your country with sever penalties then what’s the sense on investing on Bitcoin if you can’t use it freely? I mean you can’t convert, transact or purchase using it since P2P will be very dangerous for both party because a police can disguise buyer and seller to entrap you.

Your friend is already earning decent money from his job salary. I doubt choosing a risky path will be a better choice here instead of doing what he is currently doing right now.
1057  Local / Pilipinas / Re: 400 Merchants Na Ang Tumatanggap ng Bitcoin Through Pouch on: June 08, 2023, 02:07:11 PM

As a support, try ko magdownloas at gumamit nito pamalit kay coins.ph.
1058  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: [WTB] Amazon Prime Video subscription on: June 08, 2023, 02:01:38 PM
I’m looking for an Amazon Prime Video account. Either a subscription or share account is enough for me because I will just watch a specific series then I don’t need anymore the account.

What specific series you are interested to watch because most of the series and movie are already available on some streaming website even the newest and ongoing series. You can use Fbox.to or Bilibili app to search for the series that you want. I’m using these website to watch all the series that I want like The Last of Us and so on.

You can use IDM if you want to download it. It’s a waste of money if you will purchased a subscription for just a single series that you want while there’s a lot of uploader available online with HD quality too. You can DM if you need help for the setup and apps for the IDM. I have the crack version.

1060  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever felt remorse after gambling? on: June 07, 2023, 04:10:06 PM
I saw this online and thought maybe i should bring on to bitcointalk for discussion.

If a person gamble and at the end of the game he starts to feel remorse is that a good thing or should the person be on alert?

No one is happy that he lose money on gambling. It’s normal to feel a short term remorse if you lose instead of being happy about your losses. If you are destroying your life or affect all the person surrounded you due to this remorse feelings then this is the time to be alert because you are already causing damage.

I’m gambling what I can afford to lose but I’m still feeling upset when I lose a bet or my total bankroll because that’s how our emotion works. Money is important to us regardless if that is just disposable money. Don’t be alarmed if you are still upset  when you lose because even professional player feel the same. They just don’t make it long term and just let go in short period of time.
