1061  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you believe support and resistance still work in crypto? on: December 02, 2020, 08:26:18 AM
Of course support and resistance still works, what makes you think otherwise? Is it because of how the price keeps moving real quick from one price to another? I think you should understand how these two things really work, they are just being used to know when the price will fall down or when it will go up, they are not actually being used to predict what the price will be.

An expert that uses support and resistance after reading the chart will tell you for example that if the price should reach a certain price then there is the possibility of it going further up, they can say if the price reaches $10,200 then there is possibility of it reaching $10,800 next, but if it drops to $10,100 it can drop to $9,500. This is an example of how it works.

~ And they don't seem very excited about this,

-snip-

according to the link you posted, top 10 gets a share of that $1000. Currently there is only one entry if I am not mistaken.
That was my same impression the first time I joined the soccer league but you'll be surprised that there are more than that usually participates.

I see that rules have changed. In the past, players are given 24 hours to post their bet slips after the games are over. I'm not sure if that's still the case.

I feel like the new rules favor the people with bigger bank roll. Those with less have to rely on parlays to increase their chances of higher points. I prefer the old one but, hey, their campaign - their rules.

"Example :

Player A : Bet 5 $ Dollar with 4 games and the bet is a winning one
Point Calculation : 5 $ Total Amount bet + (5 x 150% Bonus Boost ) + Extra point (3) = 5 + 7.5 + 3 = 15,5 points
Player B : Bet 13 $ Dollar with 7 games and the bet is a losing one
Point Calculation : 13 $ Total Amount bet + (13 x 200% Bonus Boost ) = 13 + 13 = 26 points
Player C : Bet 50 $ Dollar with 1 games and the bet is a winning losing one
Point Calculation : 50 $ Total Amount bet = 50 points
"
Honestly there is no need to calculate the points because at the end of the day big whales will take it no matter what. Of course having some points system would be great for some people because at the end of the day we are talking about small differences in lower levels and that should matter, but this is just top 10 and I am sure top 10 is something you have to spend a good deal of amount to reach.

If you believe you can reach those levels, kudos to you because that means you have more money than I could ever wager, I usually wager under 50 dollars per month so to me these type of competitions are useless and I act as if they do not even exist, to me casino can say they have given out millions of dollars for it, and I would still say I don't care because it wasn't anything related to me.

Nice to see that freebitco.in decided to refund the bets on the exhibition match of Mike Tyson!
Yeah, it makes sense to just refund people in this case, because of the implications of Tyson bettors getting less. Normally if it was just "everyone gets equal shares" type of situation in regular bets, that would have been viable, but this is basically just a refund situation.

I however really admire both fighters, they are 50+ years old and they went the distance and they both fought like it was nothing, they didn't looked gassed and beat at the end, they looked like they could have gone few more rounds at least. Being able to fight at that age with that high quality is a very very difficult thing, even if you are Tyson or Jones, it is still incredibly difficult. I admire their work ethic and the way they got ready for an exhibition match, hopefully everyone comes out happy about it.
1064  Economy / Economics / Re: More Banks maybe Closed and cryptocurrency exchangers are new way of banking on: December 01, 2020, 06:33:25 PM
But facing the fact that traditional banks will never be replaced by cryptocurrency even though the technology is more revolutionary.  The regulations given by the government will not support cryptocurrency to move freely, because in some developing countries cryptocurrency is only allowed to trade commodities and cannot be used as a substitute for fiat.  It is difficult and will not be able to replace traditional banks, because government profits also come from banks, while cryptocurrency cannot be controlled by anyone.
The thing is that one can keep Bitcoins and no one will ever know even if crypto is banned in their countries. I mean this ain't paypal where you are being monitored so anyone can use the peer to peer currency. Now coming to the point that we cannot use crypto at local shops and merchants, so you can easily buy your local fiat when and whatever amount you need.

I mean you keep crypto balance and once you need money for fiat spending you can easily convert and get some. Then you also have sites like bitrefill and others who are making it easy to buy anything with crypto itself. You can recharge, do shopping and buy almost any kind of gift cards from them and I have used them frequently, they are quite good and delivery is instant.
1065  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What's your experience trading cryptos vs trading Stocks/Forex on: December 01, 2020, 06:00:31 PM
Honestly like everyone said forex is more similar to crypto trading than stock market is. Stock market is slow and not really doing much in reality and that is why you can't really get anything similar with crypto where which has like huuuge movements and very volatile. Forex could be similar because in forex there is huge leverages and with 100x and more (I have seen 400x in one place which is insane) you can get to volatility of crypto there as well.

You could make 2x, 3x or even 10x profits if you are right. Which is why I think it is quite important to learn the systems in forex world so that you could maybe find stuff that are similar in the crypto world as well, they are not exactly the same but they do have things that you can learn and use in both.
1066  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP must be considered a stable coin on: December 01, 2020, 05:04:38 PM
There is much hype which is not good as investors are putting their money on this project which is having no future except that it is a medium of payment. I think the much better investments are tezos, neo, eth at this time.
As such Bitcoin is also used as a payment means right? Then should one stop investing in bitcoins? Obviously not because what purpose a crypto serves has less impact on a traders preference when buying, instead all traders care about is how the price is doing and how the future demand and supply chain looks like.

XRP lists on top 3 in terms of total market cap so this makes investors feel that the coin has some solid interest and the price hasn't done bad either so no way investors are going to stop and yes there might be better projects but everyone has their own choices.
1067  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin reach 20k $ in 2021? on: December 01, 2020, 04:23:07 PM
I doubt that we are going to see this end anytime soon, it looks like we may need to just let things calm down a bit before we try to go up again. Obviously speaking there is a resistance at around $20k and breaking over it will be very very difficult. However when we can actually manage to do it, it is going to be something that will skyrocket instead and will definitely go up a lot.

For example, if we can stay at around $20k without dropping too much (stay above $17-18k range) and still not break over $21-21k range, that could end up with us reaching to a level where we would probably be $30k+ in few months. Not because it is definitely going there, but usually when the price gets stuck for a very long time without going up or down for a long time, it ends up with going up eventually with a very fast speed.
1068  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2013, 2017 bubbles and 2020 bull run on: November 30, 2020, 04:40:39 PM
The difference has been talked a million times here, when you are moving from 150 dollars to 1400 dollars you do not need that much money in the market, when you move from 1000 to 20k you do need a ton of money, and when you move from 10k to 20k you need less money than the 2017 run but more money than the 2013 one. Which is why I would list the awesomeness of the increases as 2017 to 2020 to 2013 personally.

However what we should also see here is that before the 2013 bull run the price was around 150 dollars or so and just 4 years later we have seen 20k and just 3 years later we are doing another x7 increase from the bottom after 2017 (3k) and to back to ATH price once again (or maybe even higher). So, things are looking good the longer it takes but we are talking about just very few years in between making huge leaps.
1069  Economy / Gambling / Re: bustabit – The original crash game on: November 30, 2020, 01:56:30 PM
^These type of things happen in the crypto world unfortunately, people do not know who is who and how they could find the real person so they attack everyone until they can't anymore. We all remember the "we found satoshi nakomoto!!!" period in bitcoin right? They found someone who had last name nakomoto and (was it dorian or something) and put him on TV everywhere and even got him questioned by FBI etc etc and satoshi had to come out of shadows YEARS after he was already gone and had to sign a message saying he wasn't him.

I even had something similar, My account name somewhere in crypto world was similar to someone who had scammed a lot of people, so others assumed it was me, I wrote down a simple "if I scammed people with similar name, do you really think I would open another one with same name?" and they got lower in numbers thankfully. Crypto is just nasty when it comes to these things.
1070  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - Casino & Sportsbook - Lambo Giveaway! 🚀 🎰 🏀 ⚾ 🏈 🎾 🥊 🎲 on: November 30, 2020, 12:45:11 PM
Interesting to get an email from the Stake team about the changed TOS and the increased bonus amount for verified Stake users. I have checked the official Telegram channel of Stake and the bonus prize is doubled for verified gamblers. Any particular reason for mass KYC verification?
They mentioned in the telegram message that this id done to reduce the amount of multi-accounting and people who abuse giveaways. It is a good move because they have haven't lowered any prizes for the regular users and only doubled for the verified users so one who doesn't verify has nothing to complain about honestly.

Even on the weekend stream there was queries and concerns around this topic and Edward nicely and clearly answered each of them. By the way Edward is being more lucky than usual on his streams now days as compared to earlier when he only had losses. Grin.
1071  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: AIRDROPS ARE NO LONGER VIABLE on: November 29, 2020, 04:29:40 PM
Airdrops are still viable if you ask me. The problem is, when some method gets famous, the early ones are the good ones and everyone makes money from it, when ICO's first came out everyone made money from it, however over time everyone did ICO's and of course only a few made profit while hundreds of them didn't. Same went with everything after that and right now goes with DEFI as well.

The early defi projects made people a ton of money, but the reality is that many people got into defi a bit too late, nowadays we have copy of the copy of the copy type of defi, like anyone who wants to steal money starts a new project with "uni" in the name or "yfi" in the name to get money from us, so obviously it is like 1/200 that pays well. However it is free, so you can still join all 200 of them and make few dollars without spending a dime.
1072  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How can one make effective use of the Excrow? on: November 29, 2020, 09:45:36 AM
Yeah, you’re right I have experienced such a thing once. I received a token to my Trust Wallet and I have been holding it there for sometime without checking my Trust wallet, and when next I decided to login and spend some tokens there I discovered that this particular has been changed and the amount I have of this token was then worthless and showing $0.00. It’s been long they have been doing this nonsense and it’s pretty much annoying.

USDT is a better option for escrow, I don’t agree with comments here that are saying ETH and BTC, those two are volatile and can fall anytime, it’s better they use USDT and when you get yours you can decide whether to put in BTC or ETH or not at all.
1073  Economy / Economics / Re: Is corona virus crisis changing economical equations around the world? on: November 28, 2020, 07:46:34 PM
Some major countries are facing crisis created by corona virus, meanwhile few others have controlled it successfully. Can this pandemic change economical and political status of countries?
When there is crisis the economy is hit pretty badly, and it’s worst when it’s a situation that’s unexpected like this one we are facing now.it’s normal that the economies will be affected. But if the government is able to handle the situation the right way, the economy wouldn’t fall that bad. The countries that their economies will be in line to fall the worst in a crisis like this are the developing countries.

Some of them had the opportunity to take actions and prevent the situation, but their government didn’t do what they are supposed, they left their nation’s unguarded till the coronavirus penetrated.
1074  Economy / Economics / Re: In COVID-19 everyone needs motivation on: November 28, 2020, 06:54:52 PM
Of course we need motivation to survive and move forward from the effect of this covid 19 pandemic. Also be a part of others to become their strength and most of all always put your TRUST to God no matter what happen in our life.

Yes God is able to help every situation to be better even in the bible it was done in different times. We just have to be strong and encourage ourselves in support and financial too. We don't have to depend on government most government are corrupt and looking for personal gains. We can survive with people around us .
True and I also don't mind taking loans if we have the right plan to utilize the loan and generate profits. I mean yes motivation is needed but you have to start working and you might need funds for someone until you find a new job or if you have a business then you might need some money to get it running again. So, taking loans if not the worst idea but do plan it how you are going to repay and if the money you borrow will actually help as much the interest rate is to be paid.

Motivation along with a solid approach towards earning money is important because things will not improve of their own and you have to work to get them in control.
1075  Economy / Economics / Re: Still confused why bitcoin is so bullish? on: November 28, 2020, 06:22:18 PM
I am not confused  about  the bitcoin bullish trend today, because i always expected a change on its price, i am happy that after all after a big wait i see bitcoin again in a high value status same on year 2017 i think this is not because of the pandemic, what aver reason behind i am happy for it.
Pandemic put a hold on for a while in bitcoin's bullish trend but now the prices started to fall from yesterday and it was really a hard dump not sure is that really a correction or some kind of Whale action involved to keep the prices under the ATH of 2017.
Maybe people do not want Bitcoins to touch ATH because some heavy dumps might happen once the ATH is crossed. I love the speculations and the reasons given around and I find it funny how quickly people start panicking just after a slight drop in price. I don't check the price daily because it creates tension and I recommend any investors who really want to avoid panicking to drop the habit of checking the price daily.

The bull and bear runs will continue as long as bitcoin exists and if you are someone who gets worried by drops and hikes then the best way is to avoid checking the price and avoid reading local articles which only talk positive and negative based on market movement but never actually gives the true reason or facts behind the drop/rise.
1076  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ways against BTC confiscation. on: November 28, 2020, 09:48:11 AM
Never thought that could be  possible but currently hit my head against this  head-line   "Lithuanian tax office sells confiscated BTC.." . Article says there were much of similar  actions in various countries Romania, Australia, USA , etc.. I can understand that their legislation can have articles in  laws that allow to do it but don't understand how can it be done in practice? Any person can insists on losing private keys that give access to his bitcoins. Is there any efficient way to prevent yourself from such confiscation, if any?  Any thought on that?
Bitcoin can be confiscated by the government, if you’re just seeing it now then I’m sorry to tell you that it’s no longer a new thing, it has been happening. Things like this happens when you’re living in a country where Bitcoin is illegal and you’ happen to be caught with any cryptocurrency at all, the government is going to confiscate it and then put it on auction and sell it.

So, you have to know what works in your country, if cryptocurrency is illegal, then try to be careful and avoid the law enforcement agencies when making use of it, or else you’re going to lose them.
1077  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another institutional investment firm is getting involved in bitcoin. on: November 28, 2020, 09:15:35 AM
These institutions keeps on buying lots of bitcoins and packing up in their wallet, this doesn’t seem really good to me. And right from time I have never wanted all these institutions to be part of this, I just wanted normal who likes Bitcoin and wants to make use of it and will also be using it for steady transactions, and not big institutions buying up more than half of the number of bitcoins available and just storing them away in their private wallet.

Although I know that there are people who have so much wanted institutions to be part of this as they claim it’s the way forward, but the truth is that these are some greedy fellas who wants institutions to invest huge money and pump the price so they too can make money.
1078  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it a good time to get in or not on: November 28, 2020, 08:41:50 AM
We can buy any altcoins at any time because the bearish market was helping so many legit projects. To make a good investment we need only some legitimate projects. Legitmate projects are available in any market conditions. Still the biggest bounty distribution was in the 2019 as my research. Bad times if we choose any bad projects.
Although I full agree that there is no bad time to invest in genuine and worth projects but the best time in general to invest in the altcoins market is when the BTC market is suffering a bear run because when the BTC market faces a downfall the altcoin market usually does pretty well.

I would say right now it is not the best time to invest in general altcoins, but if a project is solid then sure go ahead! As for BTC any time you buy is worth it.

If the market is playing why don’t you also play along? There’s no good time to get it or not. It’s about timing, we all know that market is unpredictable and you just need patience for that. There’s no go signal for every coin, you must know how to play with it.
Yes, even if you buy Bitcoins and the price goes down immediately one needs patience and the price will recover, might take more time than expected but we all know the market recovers surely.
1079  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: We need more decentralized stablecoins on: November 28, 2020, 08:10:21 AM
It does takes a lot of effort to make the coin stable by pegging to dollar while at the same time mantaining decentralization if I could guess it's gonna depend on people staking their fiat money or whatever it is to mantain the stability of price. Actually many stablecoin in the past proposes that idea but failed because various reasons and some of them are small profit. There should be a better plan to execute this idea if anyone wants it to be reality.
Also investments don't come in stable coins because people know the best case would be reaching $1 value but in case the project fails then losses are big and hence there is always lack of interest into investing of stable coins. I don't mind a decent stable coin that works on decentralization but I don't believing in fixing something that is only hypothetically broken (hypothetical situation in case Tether dumps).

Tether is doing well in its role as a stable coin backed by money in the bank. Tether is centralized and accountable to the company and the bank, which is really good because it holds good value. If there are many decentralized stable coins, they may not be good because of the complex pricing and the impact of market fluctuations.
Exactly and why do we need a new coin just because it would be decentralized? That's crazy because even if centralized tether is doing pretty well and yes there are some hidden risks like they can dump the market whenever they want but no reason why they would do that.
1080  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 Sportsbet.io - Official betting partner of ARSENAL FC 🚀 on: November 27, 2020, 07:59:20 PM
Sportsbet has always been the place where they give back a lot more to customers than any other place. In fact we even had a gossip amongst friends that we joked about they might be doing something illegal and use this place as money laundering, now do not take this seriously as it is just a joke about how they always give away free money, give jerseys, give other tickets to even go see the match, and they sponsor millions of dollars worth of stuff, basically from outside it looks like this place must have like 1+ million dollars wagered here PER DAY in order to be able to pay for all of this, and I am sure they do have a lot of people gamble here to cover that.

But to even joke about it means that we can see how much they are giving away, it is crazy to think about the amount of money they spent on advertisement.
