1101  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another "Bitcoin Is Here To Stay" Thread 😁. on: June 28, 2022, 10:58:22 PM
It's a part of the evolution that leads us to progress and have innovation.

I have heard different stories before from my parents, there's no internet at that time even sending a letter could take a week before it will arrive at the receiver.  But now through the help of technology and the internet, everything is just in one click on the internet using our device.  Even sending money is very easy today not like before when there was the internet and that's why Bitcoin was also created here to alternate the traditional financial system.

Trivia;
The internet was discovered on January 1, 1983, and has communication online.
1102  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.com issue on: June 28, 2022, 03:00:11 PM

Since your problem with your old phone is the charging pin/port why not disassemble the unit there are some guides on youtube on how to disassemble the unit and try to fix the charging port replacing it actually is very cheap it's around 10 cents but if it's iPhone charging port is around $2 I guess.
After you fix the phone maybe you can still able to access it with your old phone like someone said to me before that you can only access it with the same device where you created your wallet.
Nice suggestion.
If I am unable to find the problem, then I will just take out the battery, and charge it externally. Once it's charged, I will extract and delete important data. Then give it to some service center for repair.
I think the best thing that you can do is to fix first your mobile phone.
Find a technician that can repair your mobile phone at home and you should be there.  Charging pin/port is very easy to fix for them and once you will recover your phone, you can transfer it to an open-source wallet or replace the battery with the fully charged one so that you can access your wallet.

I will definitely report this issue to them.
You're lucky enough if there's CS will answer you quickly, it might you will wait for weeks or it worst for months for that.  We've heard a lot of complaints here about their problem, lack of customer support.

I suggest you once your account wallet were covered, just transfer it your assets quickly and it's better not to use this as your wallet.
1103  Economy / Speculation / Re: Speculators : Bitcoins is up now 21k buy buy buy ! but... on: June 27, 2022, 11:59:24 PM
Speculators : "Bitcoins is up now 21k buy buy buy ! yeah 100k coming soon  "....but it was 47k this March and 61k in 2021 ... so how the ..f..uck is bitcoin a winner ?

The only guys that won are speculators/traders that pumped and dumped and miners, the rest got wiped out ...

It starting to feel that "Bitcoin game" is a scam ...a big ponzi ...
Bitcoin is something we can not be excited for it price, because of the dimensions it takes for price speculation, we were expecting a bullish market that will get up to seventy thousand to hundred thousand (70k) to (100k) but nature of market retrace. So our expectations for Bitcoin to that particular prediction of yours should be next year.
There are a hundred or thousands of people who feel regret when they didn't invest in Bitcoin while it was cheap in the market from 2015 onwards.
Because they doubted it and suspected it of a scam, Ponzi, or what so ever relatively fraud project.
But in the year 2017 when Bitcoin is on ATH, everyone talking about it regretted they didn't invest while it was cheap, and might OP feel this way.

Just understand the possible risk and invest only in what you can afford are the common advice that you've heard but it's very effective.
1104  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Be careful ! 4500 Bitcoins has send to coinbase pro on: June 27, 2022, 11:47:22 PM
Don't worry too much because that 4,500 Bitcoin is nothing if you'll compare it to other transactions that were in and out in popular exchanges.

There are more huge Bitcoin transfers from exchange to unknown wallets or vice versa than the larger amount you posted.
Follow the Whale Alert Twitter account and you will find out more Bitcoin transfers.  Recently transferred, 6,002 Bitcoin to Gemini exchange from an unknown wallet.

Just stay calm, though Bitcoin has struggled on pumping the price, at the end of the day, there will be another ATH again.
1105  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: When to take profit? on: June 27, 2022, 11:35:02 PM
I am thinking of taking out my initial investment when I double my money and just leaving the profit to see what returns I can get long term. Is that a common way or is it best to just take small amounts at a time?
If that will be enough for your needs then go for it, because IMO, I only take profit when I needed it most and I think only dumb investors who sell at a lower price.  The important thing is you've satisfied the profit that you have, if your goal profit was achieved, then that's the time to take your profit out and reinvest when the market decline again.

It sounds greedy to me if you're seeking more profit to come.
However, that's not a big deal but it should be you must be contented with what you'd have.

I would prefer to hold it for a long term and wait for a bull run or even when another ATH will come.
1106  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: information about crypto price on: June 27, 2022, 03:14:28 PM
It's just because the price varies for these reasons on different crypto exchanges and that's what they called, trading arbitrage which all the above comments are true.
  • very first the liquidity
  • demand and supply
  • Fees

Even when you're looking at the crypto price on CMC, how can you be sure that the results are exactly accurate?
They have different results because they calculate it based on the last traded price in the most prominent crypto exchanges which they got different results on different exchanges.
1107  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are we going to recover or continue to dump? on: June 27, 2022, 02:26:29 PM
No one really knows about the market movement, this was still a puzzle in our minds when the Bitcoin price leads.
But only fool people who will sell their Bitcoin under the price where they purchased, just keep holding until your profit was there because the market has a chance to resist and might at this moment there was still a barrier to pump the price.

Stick on Bitcoin instead in altcoins, altcoins will follow on Bitcoin price movement and that's proven and tested in crypto space.
Hodlers will receive a better prize when they have their patience, wait for the bull market.
1108  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How trading during bear market can save your portfolio on: June 26, 2022, 11:31:02 PM
I did some trading stunt recently that made me to marvel. And am beginning to see my trading skills as a force to reckon with, i studied the market during last last 2 years and have realised that floating with the market can earn you good profits that you can imagine. Take for example if you bought Bitcoin when the price dropped to 19k by now you will be making 30% profits so here is my strategy i hold alot of ustd>buy during the dip sell buy buy and buy again since am holding large ustd.
The market is unpredictable and you don't know when to enter to make a profit.
What if the market continues declining?  What's your possible move on this?
It's easy to say, buy the dip and sell when the price is up but the problem is there's no perfect prediction when the exact time frame of this, that's I advise people to buy Bitcoin through DCA way (Dollar-Cost Averaging), it's a safe method of investing Bitcoin while in a bearish trend.

You've studied the market for two years for sure you know how it will work when it comes to price movement, when there's a dip, it's quickly recover so possible you'll make profit on it.
1109  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Swapping Bitcoin for "stablecoin": Smart move or disloyalty? on: June 26, 2022, 10:58:35 PM
Do you think swapping your BTC for stablecoin makes you are solution to Bitcoin bearish run or a contributor to the challenge?
Not a solution to a bearish market but you can escape the possible massive loss of value of a dollar in your Bitcoin holding.
That's what we call, "diversifying asset" smart move should must in crypto because this is very volatile and very risky but if you're not sure of what you're doing, better to remain to hold your Bitcoin than diversifying it.

Do you fell that wishing or believing that the price of BTC should fall below $10,000 makes you a real fan of Bitcoin?
I'm a holder so I wish Bitcoin would pump up and if you're investors, of course, you will wish that there's a bottom of $10k.

1110  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Access to BPIP is problematic. on: June 26, 2022, 03:12:27 PM
Just curious, how much it will cost for renewing SSL?
It's very helpful to us on this site and I hope it too this will be resolved soon.

It's a free certificate and apparently we're getting what we're paying for.

I'm on it.

Edit: should be ok now.

I guess I need to go old school with it and put it on my calendar to renew it. Scheduled task keeps failing for some unclear reason.
Thank you for enlightening me, glad to know it.

Confirmed, it's accessible now.  And also, the Bpip chrome extension working smoothly and fine ATM.

Thank you.
1111  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if bitcoin was exist in world Financial crisis of 2007–2008? on: June 26, 2022, 03:07:38 PM
the financial crises would still have happened. bitcoin is not meant to replace fiat. but it would have helped people have another financial escape away from fiat to store wealth
I tend to agree with the bolded part above, remember that this wasn't a goal by the creator of Bitcoin and it wasn't created to fix crises even if it's existed during a recession or during a financial crisis.  Instead, it was created to make people have a choice regarding privacy and have freedom over the traditional banking system.  This wrong perception of Bitcoin should stop that Bitcoin was the answer to the world financial crisis.

If Bitcoin does really exist during there's a recession that year, it might be you're a very rich person right now because you're storing the value of Bitcoin
1112  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Access to BPIP is problematic. on: June 26, 2022, 02:21:27 PM
The reason also why Bpip chrome extension doesn't work for me now and I wonder upon opening my account there's no Bpip rank under on my profile.

In addition above, yeah the validation of their certificate was expired based on xolphin.com/sslchecker.
Validity

Valid from 2022-03-28
Valid to 2022-06-26

Looks like the SSL certificate expired, so we'll need to get it renewed..
Thank you, very helpful, hope it will be resolved quickly.

1113  Economy / Exchanges / Re: CatChange.me Exchange Crypto to Fiat and vice versa on: June 25, 2022, 11:56:40 PM
On the main page.
"We are always aiming to provide the best rates and also serve exclusive currencies like Monero, Helium and MXC. If you are missing your favourite cryptocurrency, you can ask as to check for the possibility in order to add it to our service."

Why not?  The more cryptocurrency options added the more people will choose your exchange.  There's a lot of competition on the p2p exchange I think you must have something interesting.

I think also there should be a Frequently Ask Question (FAQ) button on your site, aside from "site rules" button that is supposedly commonly known "Term of Use" (TOS).

It's fun when clicking anywhere on the website I spend 15 minutes playing the square effect. Cheesy
Lol me too.  Cheesy
1114  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: is it worth mining bitcoin with a Gaming laptop? on: June 25, 2022, 11:36:20 PM
is it worth mining bitcoin with a Gaming laptop which consist Rtx 2070 8gb card??
No.  Don't try this because it may ruin your laptop GPU once you force it to work in mining.
I have done this before, and my laptop can't be repaired even though it's a high-end model, a laptop wasn't designed for crypto mining probably you can use it in gaming but not in crypto mining, besides there are not enough fans to cool down mechanical parts.  Imagine, it works 24/7 in the processing of mining, it will surely not work in the long run, think about it.

Mining rigs would be appropriate machines for mining, not your laptop.
1115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Among all which do you hold on: June 25, 2022, 10:59:44 PM

I want to know if holding or trading will be more preferred. All suggestions are welcomed.

This isn't an easy question because it also depends on your skills and knowledge before I answer this question.
If you're good in technical skills in trading, you're in but if you don't just go for investing.  The higher risk means the higher potential of gaining profit and that's trading and if you want to play safely in the market investing is suitable for you.

If you've already these coins that you've mentioned above, just hold because it might you're right, a bull market will come and it seems there's a sign.
All coins that you've picked are good and have potential except UCT which is I think stable coin.
1116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Ethereum Dominance on: June 21, 2022, 11:51:22 PM
There are always arguments between these two cryptocurrencies and who's the best among them but I think there's no fight between the two of them.

Based on this article the image is shown below compares their data and decides which will still be dominated in the future.

IMO, they have different functions the peer-to-peer transaction system for Bitcoin while Ethereum has a smart contract.
1117  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Top Cryptocurrency Scams To Be Avoided By Beginners on: June 21, 2022, 11:26:24 PM
v. Personal Research
All you've mentioned above should start here, DYOR is very important to all newcomers before they will be putting their money as an investment.
All of you've mentioned are pretty common scam activities that we usually heard here, fraud is everywhere waiting for someone who will be caught in their trap, and those lazy and greedy people will most likely be next to their victim.

We have a community here that can be a part of your DYOR, stick to this board and find out more scams or if you will find them, you can spread awareness here.
1118  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Looking for signature campaign 👀 on: June 21, 2022, 10:54:20 PM
I like to give lower ranks a chance to make a few bucks while they're browsing the forum. I also think that companies save a few bucks hiring these lower ranks vs hiring only Sr members and higher.
You'd never change, I remember before when I was a Jr. member rank joining your signature campaign.  I know how the feeling of earning a few bucks while pushing yourself to learn everything here in the forum. (sorry a little bit off-topic)

OP, it seems a little bit more patient and you'll rank up into a full member, give a try to focus, and manage to become a full member which is all signature campaign managers considering this rank.  You'd managed to become a member and I saw your potential to rank up easily.

For now, hit the button "notify" to the link given by yahoo62278 above, it will send a notification into your inbox so that you'll know when there's a new post, possible update of the thread or there's a new campaign.
1119  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Any resources to do your own on-chain analysis? on: June 21, 2022, 10:23:59 PM
It's all provided above and I think the best tool that you can use in on-chain Bitcoin data is the Glassnode.
It has a higher metric data that you can use among them all like possible Bitcoin movement organically or even if that's manipulated by the whales or even mining difficulties such as high fees.

There's a free and paid subscriptions but I think it's better if you'll try all the free and paid subscriptions.
1120  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Better than DCA is DCAing when fear is high on: June 20, 2022, 11:56:17 PM

Those who know charts can find proper bottom and do dca there but for simple folks fear and greed index is enough: https://alternative.me/crypto/fear-and-greed-index/

Those who know and read charts, don't look for DCA. They find the bottom and utilize the opportunity. On the other hand, personally, I think DCA is a method for people who can't read chart and act accordingly. In DCA method, there's no bottom or anything else. It's all about setting up the period, amount and goal. No matter what's going with the price. If you are following strategy you have set, in long term, you are likely to gain.
I tend to agree with this and it seems right.
DCA's method of purchasing Bitcoin is the only way for non-technical analysis investors because they need only to follow the market trend, they will keep investing a little by little when seeing the market continue to drop and set a goal of profit for a long period of time and it's expected when there's a bull run come.  There's no bottom price, if the price will continue to decline, they keep purchasing through the DCA way.

The fear is high when you investing altcoins not on Bitcoin.
