I am confirming this as a very smooth deal between me and OmegaStarScream.

The account is pretty good by the way.

Thank You.
1122  Economy / Reputation / Re: Suspicious loan to 2double0 from hacker1001101001 (marcotheminer involved) on: February 25, 2019, 10:03:09 AM
I agree that I also have been unable to sign message from address which I hold in my blockchain wallet. Do you mind sharing screenshots of your conversation with 2double0 publicly or maybe share with someone trusted (i.e actmyname if he doesn't minds)?
Why not you bro? You too are a very trusted member of the community as per I see.

I can share the screenshots of the telegram conversation with you via PM. Let me know if you are willing to verify it.
1123  Economy / Reputation / Re: Suspicious loan to 2double0 from hacker1001101001 (marcotheminer involved) on: February 25, 2019, 09:45:14 AM
Firstly Yes I provided a loan to 2double0 after looking at his post in the lending section here

I would like to clarify what Quickseller said here :

The most damming part of the loan to 2double0 is the blockchain activity immidiately prior to hacker1001101001 making the loan. 2double0 asked for the loan to be funded to 1J4YGjWGyWSQ1U8VCTUeXn3XqMxiUhheZ7 and hacker1001101001 funded the loan via txid 9e25bbb34f3c4504f3275c93502afe82efec15ecd04581b1d9f9f19dfc48aa6b, whose inputs are from 1JAYESHqohMYvXS4Do6ZNEYJiwZ588MVKi -- this transaction was confirmed in block 564462, which also confirmed a withdrawal from huobi in the amount of 0.0502 (enough for the loan plus a small amount for the tx fee), but the strange thing is that 8 blocks prior to hacker1001101001 receiving the withdrawal from huobi, he received 0.00001 BTC from 1J4YGjWGyWSQ1U8VCTUeXn3XqMxiUhheZ7 the address 2double0 asked the loan to be funded to. This might be circumstantial evidence that hacker1001101001 may be the same person as 2double0.

The transaction you are talking about which occurred here is the one which I asked 2Double0 to confirm his BTC address by sending me a small amount of BTC to my BTC address. I did this as he said that he holds the address 1J4YGjWGyWSQ1U8VCTUeXn3XqMxiUhheZ7 in his blockchain.com wallet from where he was unable to sign a message. He also sent me some ScreenShots of him logged in with the wallet in his PC.

Form this I confirmed that he was owning an address posted from his account at least 1.5 years ago here and I sent the loan directly to his previous address.

Thank You nutildah for notifying me about this thread

I saw the rose with the name Zepher on your avatar, so I'd like to give you my thoughts at this difficult time that you have been passing. I hope you find the support you need to overcome it, whether it's friends, family or religion.

I think this break might be good for you.
In case some of the people here don't know who Zepher is? He was a reputed and a very trustworthy member of the Bitcointalk and mostly Collectibles section of the forum. Also you could see more members honoring him by changing there avatar. You could see his trust feedbacks to know how trusted he was!

I would like to take this time to honour Zepher here and express my gratitude, even through I don't know him personally, but rather respect his work here. Its always a loss in loosing such members of the community. Rest in peace Zepher.

Sorry for off-topic but it was just to let know most of the new members here who zepher was.

1126  Other / Meta / Re: Ban Appeal Sub-board on: February 25, 2019, 03:44:50 AM
I apologize if this has already been suggested.

I don't read Meta very much, but when I do I notice that there are always several current ban appeal threads, as well as threads with users asking why their posts are deleted. Perhaps it would be helpful if there were a board focused specifically on actions by moderators and appeals by users. Moderators could post who was banned and why, and users could appeal their bans there and ask why posts are deleted.

This is probably a good way to keep the discussion in the meta clean and only up to the development of the forum. This will also save the time for moderation to sort out the list of banned appeal's in meta as you will get all of those in one place which makes it easy to handle. Meta should totally be based on the conversation related to development of the forum and suggestions related to it.

Also, as per the rules, a banned account could only post in meta with its alt for ban appeals and nowhere outside it else it's a ban evasion. We could apply just similar rules to the new banned account sub board section which will keep all the conversation in one sub-board and easy to access to mod and also for normal users.

This suggestion is already discussed here, but as per I see, global mods do not find it much important though.

5 out of 35 isn't a lot and I don't think every separate issue needs its own sub.

Some of the previously discussed related topics are:

Subforum for account ban request

Sub/Child board for Account Issues

New Child Board for banned users...

1128  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Beware from this malware. on: February 24, 2019, 11:36:23 AM
This probably is a known script in the Windows operating system and is used by many hackers out there to manipulate copy-paste or Keystroke activity of a victim. As per I know this is one of the old operating viruses and has not affected much in the crypto space currently. Rather there are many other similar scripts developed every day to manipulate the data on the web. We could say they are pretty common and most of the anti-virus even if they are some free ones, can detect it.

The reason behind you getting affected by the virus would probably be an unwilling click on some spammy stuff online which further led this virus to penetrate in your system and later manipulated your transactions.

My best solution to avoid such type of manipulation is using a Linux operating system which would surely keep you secure from such spammy scripts in the future.

I would suspect you were using a windows operating system right?

You could check this video, to know more about how does the malware work:

1129  Other / Meta / Re: Voice chat with members on: February 23, 2019, 04:43:24 PM
Already one user with  username "Account Seller" already joined the community. Should w restrict the registrations based on some criteria?

Yes, such fake entries could happen often there if you do not modify your channel's security. But the plus point is, if you can use the settings better, there are some crazy options there to modify the user restrictions. One of which I recently came across was "Disabling the new users to send messages until X time interval has passed after they joined, so that they should first read the previous conversation for more knowledge"

Do we need to add local languages also?

We can if we get more traffic for specific language other than English.

Well that has put me off ever joining the community.

I think you should try it once, there are scammer in each online community and fud creator's too. But we could find some good solution to keep them away. Grin

1131  Other / Meta / Re: Voice chat with members on: February 23, 2019, 08:14:56 AM
I too think discord will a be a good alternative or solution to address such voice connection's.

You could read a good article about discord on how do they handle the calls.

How Discord Handles Two and Half Million Concurrent Voice

For anyone interested to be apart of the discord community for Bitcointalk, I've made it here.

https://discord.gg/yu7XyW5

It seems a good start to me, but you should try creating a thread about it and let people post a POA (proof of authentication) in the thread with connected discord account. This will at least avoid scammer entering and ruine the conversation. I am saying this as you mentioned about following Bitcointalk rules in the welcome message.

I think it's more like an act of retaliation, trying to frame Veleor for multi account and ban evasion
he probably will do some more other things to get Veleor into troubles Undecided
as madnessteat said in the previous post, "the war was started against him" (him = Veleor)
Yes, it's just a kind of name spamming. But the scammer would never be able to achieve what he wants, as just spamming similar names would not affect much here I think. As there are many similar cases of name spamming already happening here, but it never works at all.

that's true but it's just too coincidence changing his email similar to username that got him banned Roll Eyes
This coincidence make's it a revenge for sure!

Check what Elon Musk thinks about Bitcoin being Brilliant and better than Paper Money:

https://www.coindesk.com/elon-musk-calls-bitcoin-brilliant-better-than-paper-money-for-value-transfer

Quote
To that end, Musk said he believes bitcoin’s structure “is quite brilliant,” adding:

“It [cryptocurrency] bypasses currency controls. … Paper money is going away. And crypto is a far better way to transfer values than a piece of paper, that’s for sure.”

This statements can hype the Price Huh
1134  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Terror attack on Indian Security force by fundamentalist terrorists on: February 21, 2019, 12:48:43 PM
This is truly a very sad event for India and its security. Pakistan is trying to support this secret terrorist organization under it,  as this is not the first time Indian People got there CRPF killed. I could recall the great hustle which happen in the Mumbai terror attacks, terror strike in Pathankot airbase are just some of the highlighted events happening around in India which hamper the current state of the country.

It has been said many times that Pakistan supports this type of activities inside the country and in no way tries to stop them even after receiving a large number of warnings from different countries all around the world. These individuals who run the terrorist attacks are mostly brainwashed under the name of religion and much more things to give them a filling of " If they Kill 10 peoples in other countries their soul will go to the heaven".After the Mumbai terrorist attack in India, Indian government provided warnings with evidence about their people involved in such activities many times, but they tend to avoid it and none of the listed terrorists are arrested until now.

So to overcome such situations India now has to go with some surgical strikes to knock down those terrorists, and their bases which indeed did succeed many times but it does not affect the growing terrorist groups trying to attack.

I think a recent approach after this attack by the Indian government to hike the customs duty on all goods imported from Pakistan to 200% could do some betterment in the current situation by at least minimizing the funding received by the terrorist group.
1135  Other / Meta / Re: Prevent banned users from changing profile data on: February 21, 2019, 10:31:15 AM
We can state this as a misuse of the privileges given by the forum to the banned users. I think giving them a chance to login and change the profile details is a very stupid thing at first.

Banned account is warned with the message.
Code:
Sorry xxxxxx , you are banned from posting or sending personal messages on this forum.

Which implies they are banned from posting and sending PMs, but they are free to change there profile details. This mostly does not affect other members but there could be possible abuse as stated in the OP.

it might be a bug like what happened when merit system was implemented the banned users are also got merits and able to spend it.

It's not a bug, as you can see that the trust page of btc-e.nz says "This user's email address was changed recently" which points he has personally changed it to spam @veleor (as per the thinking of scammer) as he has busted his account. It's just a way of him expressing his anger for this event  Cry

1136  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 2020 Democrats on: February 21, 2019, 04:53:10 AM
Of all of them I think only Biden has a chance. He will get the establishment Dems. But he is not going to get the Sanders wing. Many of them will vote Green or not come out at all.  The Sanders wing is not going to be enthusiastic for him.

Bloomberg is dead in the water. Not only will the Sanders wing reject him out of hand but so will the labor Dems. Not only that but many of them are very pro-Second Amendment and Bloomberg, with his gun-confiscation rhetoric and actions, is anathema.

Sanders will be opposed by the corporate Dems. Many suburban Dems will refuse to vote for him. Would they hold their nose and vote for Trump is the economy is good? Not vote? Go third party? I don't know. But many - too many for the Dems electoral chances - will refuse to vote for Sanders.
You look like a too straight forward man, if we go more straight forward, none of the candidates listed on the pole have much chances of defeating the Giant Trump and his power. So, what I suggested were just my side of prediction to the 2020 election as trump was not on the listed pole! everyone could have a different perspective but no one can give the final result as it's what called as politics right? Also did you judged the victory of Trump correctly in the last election somewhere?
1137  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 2020 Democrats on: February 21, 2019, 04:24:26 AM
Who do you want to win, and who do you think will win?
I am not an American, But I often take interest in the politics around the world. I had to keep up with the 2020 elections and who could win and who could loose. Also, there is for sure a global interest in the election of the world's biggest superpower.

But as most of us can see Trump has already made his hands strong by adding some self made ways to keep him in power for longer time. But many people in America are subjected to change and are turning towards some new and  potential candidates to defeat Trump.

My 3 votes goes to John Biden, Bernie Sanders, and Michael Bloomberg. I think most of the people tend to put someone powerful candidate in oppose of trump and his unwanted wins.

John Biden : He is one of the strongest opponent as he has some good advantage's and a positive approach. Also as theymos said he has already worked with Obama ( the most loved president), which makes him a more favorable candidate overall. He has already been president from 2009- 2017 which increase his operating experiences in politics.

Michael Bloomberg: He is the one with large net-worth and has a high financial status as trump has, which could make him get most of the power and votes in hand. He is the 8th richest in united states and 11th richest in the world. Looks like a very potential candidate for sure.

Bernie Sanders: He could be quoted as 2016 runners up and also a candidate to be looked upon by the voters due to his dyspeptic leftism. Being an older candidate in the American politics makes him a worthy full one.

1139  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Will the Bitcoin be able to legalize in different powerful countries? on: February 20, 2019, 01:11:57 PM
Some of the biggest super powers are afraid that if they make Bitcoin legal the total economic power will shift from the hands of the authority to the control of Public. This is rather good for the common people in a specific country as the currency will totally be decentralized in its own way and will be community driven but it affects the overall corruption and can totally block it in anyway which would further affect the pockets of the individuals manipulating the current system and they would never let it happen.

Most of the people in the authority tend to avoid the argument by saying "Bitcoin Transactions can promote uncontrolled scams and illegal deals" but it just avoids the facts that same thing is still happening even if we use fiat, still much of the illegal deals are ongoing in the current economy and usage of fiat does not stop it in any way. As the currency is growing its usage and power every day a large sort of community is getting attracted to Bitcoin, which make the government and banking industries in powerful countries worry about it and they try to boycott the use in whatever way they can to keep the power in control.

By looking at the currently increasing interest and adaptability of Bitcoin and other crypto it will surely perished in the powerful countries in the future due to the advantage of Bitcoin which favor to common people than the currently powered authority.

I would be very happy to list an example of Venezuela's latest government authorities cryptocurrency Petro which has just helped a country to overcome bad economic conditions is a effective way.

Expression of the Powerful Countries towards fiat.
