I also believe that Sterling was the one who won the fight. The score for him looks better and he was also the one being more active in my opinion. Again the fight was not clear and it was very close. But I don't think Sterling was given the win for free or anything. I also don't believe that Cejudo got robbed.

It will be interesting to see Sterling fight against O'Malley. But of course for that first of all O'Malley will have to beat Dvalishvili. I also agree that the winner of this fight may actually have a chance against Sterling for that title shot.

No doubt that Aljo won that fight, however some people believe that Cejudo was robbed. Imho, Cejudo did not do anything or enough to win. He wasnt dominating that fight, and as it was a fight for a belt,  not being dominant or simply showing same results as your opponent means not receiving a belt. Just wonder who is going to be Aljos next opponent, as he and Dvalishvili (top1) are friends from same gym. Probably the winner of Dvalishvili vs O'Malley are going to have a title shot.
1142  Economy / Economics / Re: Saving one third what you earn monthly is not that hard, isn't it ? on: May 08, 2023, 10:11:19 AM
Of course it's nice if we have passive income from saving, there are many saving options that we can choose to get passive income, of course it takes a lot of capital to reach this passive income position, but if we start from small things and we do it regularly for a long time then we will be successful.

Saving is a very important thing in life and it doesn't only apply to those who have passive income. Because those who don't have passive income also have to save even though it's still very difficult for them when they want to do it, especially for those who already have passive income.

It's definitely easier to save the amount of money they want each week or month, and I personally also make savings for the time being in case of a hard time or a sudden large need. That is, I don't dedicate it to being successful even though I also don't stop fighting to be successful in my life.
Sometimes many people think that saving is not important but to be honest it really helps,
saving is not for now but for the future besides that we also never know what will happen later,
regardless of whether saving or not is a choice.
Rather than saving putting that money into good use is much more important, for example investing it into something that has store value. Here in our country, working on jobs with not that high enough salaries can not even help you ot sustain your daily expenses that is why most of my fellow citizens here find side hustles online or even on their community in order for them to have what we called savings and investment.

Investment is not only profitable but also risky, there is no guarantee that the investment will be 100% sure of bringing in profit, so it is necessary to distinguish these two items separately. In my opinion, saving is more important and should take precedence over investment because life will always have surprises, and saving will help you in those emergencies. Regarding investment, it is advisable to invest only when there is idle money, money that we will not need for our daily needs, because there will be risks in investment. Don't forget the saying "invest only with what we can lose"

I would also actually like him to stay in Napoli. After all, he is performing really well in Napoli. So it will probably be a little hard for him to adapt to his new team. I mean if he does decide to move. But at the same time, he is really young, and probably he will also want to take the chance of exploring a new team. I strongly believe that Napoli will try to keep him.
But at the same time, it is not going to be worth it to force him to stay if he does not want to. Osimhen surely wants to move because he is getting approached by a lot of big clubs. I can say that he is tempted.
Osimhen is only 24 years old and has a very promising career ahead of him. I'm sure he will have another successful season in Italy if he stays in Napoli, but I think he should always seize the good opportunities that come his way. So, if Real Madrid, the number one follower of the champions league cup, are interested in him, I think he should not say no and I think he would not say no to such an offer anyway. I've also seen a statement by the Napoli president that they're definitely not going to sell Osimhen, but I think it could be a bluff that heats up the market.

I actually agree that he should try to look for the best opportunities. But right now I believe he should only move from Napoli if he is actually getting good offers from English Premier League or any other really good competitive League. Don't take a step thinking the best has already been offered.  The offer also has to be from a really good team. Preferably a team that generally performs really well in champions League or at the very list is participating in the champions League

Even though there is currently a hot discussion regarding the transfer market for next summer, however, in several interviews Osimhen emphasized that he would not just leave his club. Several big clubs are after him, Napoli congratulated Manchester United and made a statement that Osimhen would be kept because he is one of the most valuable assets. But on the other hand Manchester United don't need to be discouraged if they can't bring in Osimhen, Manchester United still have three other options, namely Randal Kolo Muani, Dusan Vlahovic, and Joao Felix.

I cannot confidently say that Manchester United is going to be a good destination for Osimhen. I understand that Manchester United is improving right now. But I don't know if, in the next season, Manchester United will be able to perform consistently as well. I am actually saying that it is going to be better if he stays in Napoli instead of going to Manchester United.
1144  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 07, 2023, 03:20:05 PM
I don't believe that money should be the deciding factor in a club's decision to sign a player they believe is qualified for a specific position if he is actually worth it. The asking price for Victor Osimhen is quite steep, but I'm sure any club that desperately needs him will find a way to finance it. I also believe that Napoli does not want him to leave now, after all that he has done for the club this season, including being one of the players to help them win their first league title in decades. He's still a young player, and whatever move he makes now will have a significant impact on his career.
I understand that Napoli would want to keep their star players together for another season, but if the player is open to move and his release clause is activated, I don't see why Napoli would want to stand in his way after what he has done for them. I hope he understands that occasionally ideal moves do not pan out as planned; I would personally like him to stay in Napoli for another season.

1145  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Investment: Good Debts vs Bad Debts on: May 07, 2023, 02:31:37 PM
In the world of finance, bad debt has a different meaning. It means the borrower is not capable of paying their debts which may result in loss of money or any portion of it.

Now back to OP's point. I would never advise someone about borrowing money in order to invest in bitcoin. Usually, when we borrow money from banks, they will ask for the purpose. If your purpose is to buy bitcoin, then I can guarantee you that your loan application will be denied. Unless you are rich already with big deposits in your bank account which doesn't make sense or your payroll is big enough to pay your dues.

Bitcoin IMO is a good long-term investment but since we cannot guarantee its future, we should not borrow money just to invest in it. It is not even advisable to invest money that is not extra. And only part of your extra money or savings should be used to buy bitcoin. It is basic to have savings that you can withdraw anytime for emergency purposes.

Borrowing money for a purpose is not necessarily called completely bad, because in life, sometimes we will also have financial difficulties, and borrowing money is a solution. But borrowing money to invest in an asset volatile and uncertain future like bitcoin is actually a bad idea. If we can borrow money to invest in bitcoin, that means we can also sell our real assets to invest, and that goes against all the advice on this forum: "invest only what we can lose". Only invest in bitcoin with lazy money.
1146  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin - what is your plan when we reach $100k? on: May 07, 2023, 02:16:08 PM
Whether btc becomes $100k or $150k today, some person holding BTC may not enjoy much profit. Imagine someone holding just 10$ worth of BTC, if the price becomes 100k, how much profit do you think you will make?

I understand what you are trying to say, and I have the same question. I see most of us wishing for bitcoin to rise in price as quickly and as high as possible. But my question to those people is, how much profit will they get when bitcoin hits $100k? I mean, did they hold 1 bitcoin or 10 bitcoin? Because if someone holds too little bitcoin, the price increase won't do any good either.

For me, I would focus on accumulation rather than having to test the price and hope for a price increase every day. I believe bitcoin and ATH price hikes are inevitable, getting there is only a matter of time. And our task is when bitcoin hits 100k $, how many bitcoins will we have? That's what we should be more concerned about.

Exactly! BTC is for the rich, BTC is not for the poor.
People who enjoy it when BTC increases in value are those holding something significant, because that is will ultimately determine your profit.
Well, on other hand, when btc increase in price, it tends to influence altcoins as well, that's why most times you see people wanting a increase in price in BTC, not primarily because they are holding BTC

Why is bitcoin for the rich and not for the poor? I think bitcoin is for everyone, anyone can invest in bitcoin with any amount they have.

Altcoins? I didn't think about that. I think you are right, people who don't hold too much bitcoin but want the market to recover because they are holding most altcoins because many altcoins are suffering heavy losses. But I suspect that the bitcoin price increase will not guarantee that all altcoins will increase. The market will be like in previous years, many old altcoins will never be able to recover, and new projects will replace them. So, if anyone expects bitcoin to go up so that old altcoins will go up, they should prepare for the worst case scenario for their investment.

Already the 55th minute of the game, but Bayern struck only two shots on target. Possession of the ball does not lead to the creation of dangerous chances and this is a serious problem. I can’t say that bookmakers already see a draw as the main outcome:
11.00 - 3.75 - 1.47
but I think another 15 minutes later it will happen. It is very strange to see how Bayern, even after changing the coach, suffers in games with obviously weaker teams.
Despite not scoring a goal in the first half, Bayern Munich led 2-0 in the second half. However, I am not satisfied with Bayern Munich's performance. They have 70% ball possession but attack very little. But Bayern Munich needs 3 points in this match. And they are able to achieve it. Bayern Munich's performance has not been good in the last few matches. Munich's performances have been erratic since the change of coach. Also the top of the table is now uncertain for Munich. If they fail to get 3 points in today's match, they will lose the top spot again. But Tuchel is quite an experienced coach. He will be able to stabilize this team. And Bayern Munich will also win this season's Bundesliga title.

This was a good performance from Bayern Munich. Now they are 4 points ahead of Dortmund and in the first position as well. This is going to be really hard for Dortmund to overcome. At this point, I honestly don't believe that Dortmund has a chance to win the title. Another title for Bayern Munich. If there finally are able to win the Bundesliga title it is going to be their 11th in a  row.

In this match against Bremen, Bayern Munich did face some problems towards the end. But finally, they were able to hold on and get the 3 points that they deserved from this match.
1148  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: May 06, 2023, 05:11:29 PM
Bayern Munich have a good chance of securing the Bundesliga title. Because Bayern Munich is not playing in any other league now, they have been eliminated from every league. So I think Bayern Munich will now focus heavily on the Bundesliga.
4 more matches remaining and Bayern Munich is only 1 point ahead of Dortmund, I think anything is still possible to happen and with Bayern Munich's inconsistent performance like now it makes me not so sure they can win the Bundesliga this season even though this is the only trophy remaining that allows Bayern Munich to get this season.
this week Bayern Munich against Wender Bremen, Bayern Munich will be highly favored even though this match will be played at home to Bremen, but I don't dare to bet with a handicap of -1.5 for Bayern Munich to win, that's very risky.
Bayern Munich this season is very different, they are in bad shape and so in every game it is difficult to predict.

Bayern Munich is currently playing against Werder Bremen. 32 minutes have been played in this match so far. Now Bayern Munich is still unable to break the deadlock. But so far Bayern Munich has been dominating this match in terms of possession. I honestly believe it is Bayern Munich who will actually be able to win this match in the end.

After all, if they somehow lose this match or even drop points they will face competition from Dortmund for the title. And they surely do not want that right now. If it is a draw in this match Dortmund is going to be on the same points as Bayern Munich. Dortmund is certainly going to be behind in terms of goal difference but Bayern Munich will surely not want to take that chance.
1149  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you had a time traveling machine, then? on: May 06, 2023, 02:14:20 PM
I want to think... but I can't think of any because at first, time travelling isn't possible (at least for now).

Those people who sold their Bitcoins at a lower price is the reason why we are here now. They showed that a new currency like Bitcoin is there, can be transferred without any third party involved, and it can be an alternative mode of payment to fiat currency. Now with the Pizza Guy, I guess he already said that he doesn't have any regrets on his decision because at first place, he doesn't know the future, and he don't know the future of Bitcoin.

Bitcoin way back in 2009 is like any other shitcoins currently. We don't know the future that's, and these people who sold their Bitcoin in the past proved to us that it can be used for whatever reason it is. Many here have said that they might've bought it, but did you know what the future of Bitcoin is way back in 2009? If you missed the opportunity to buy Bitcoin, buy those shitcoins out there. Buy those new projects out there, and see if you can do it.

Sorry, but I'm just being realistic OP so... don't mind my words I guess. Smiley

If we had a time machine to go back to 2009, but it would also make us forget all about the present. I bet you that no one will dare to buy 1 bitcoin, let alone buy 1 million bitcoin, as many people are saying. Because at that time, bitcoin was given out for free, and no one cared, let alone spent some money to buy it. Right now, the future of bitcoin is as clear as ever, many people remain skeptical and dare not invest. Then don't say we would dare to buy it when it has no value and no clear future.

It is actually very hard to imagine that he will actually be 100% ready for the French Open. The French Open is going to start in only three weeks. I definitely doubt he is going to be ready 100% before that time. Nadal is claiming that his injury situation is improving. But it is certainly doubtful. There is a chance that he is saying it because he wants to perform in the French Open.

There is certainly no doubt that Alcaraz is going to be the favourite in Paris. I don't think there is anyone who will actually give him very hard competition, to be honest.

Are you following the situation around Nadal? The status of his injury is still unclear and it is uncertain whether he will recover in time to compete at the French Open.
The latest news is that Nadal has given up on the Italian Open and has not played a single tennis match for almost 4 months.
Nadal claims that the situation with his injury is improving and that he will be ready for the French Open, which starts in 3 weeks, but the question is how ready he will actually be after 4 months of not playing official tennis matches.
Considering his injury, I think Alcaraz could be the main favorite in Paris this year.

1151  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is $30 dollars worth starting bitcoin? on: May 06, 2023, 01:56:52 PM
I hardly have up to $30 worth of Bitcoin in my wallet years ago, but I spend most of my time learning about Bitcoin, you don't have to be an investor right away, not having money to invest in Bitcoin can be blessings because it creates time for you to focus more on learning about Bitcoin, you will be in a more calm state and there will be no reason to rush.

I was so calm back in the days and since I have no access to any fund at the time I was able to erase any thought of buying Bitcoin for future gains at the time, I was so ready to learn and learn until I was able to even understand some things about Bitcoin, like Mining and Mixers.

But honestly, I don't think many people will do what you did because most want to make a quick profit. It will be a very uncomfortable and sad feeling when you check the price every day and discuss with people every day about bitcoin while you don't have bitcoin. It is a feeling of great disappointment and discomfort, and sometimes it will discourage us. I used to be in the same situation as you, but it's a shame, I can't do it like you. I am not confident enough without money to invest.

1153  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin doesn't give you instant 100 percent profits on: May 05, 2023, 02:33:40 PM
As the topic implies, I don't really know why people are channelling all efforts to bitcoin wanting them to have 100 percent return of investment, from my last research I didn't see where it was written bitcoin to be a Ponzi scheme or a quick get rich scheme to give you 1000x immediately you invested.
I just draw out this post due to some post I have been reading across here and it annoys me seeing people or newbies always asking after a platform to give them $100 daily, $50 daily and so on without them even coming to think about how it works or not.
As a matter of fact if I should see any post related to this same questions I don't mind reporting them to the moderators.
Why can't you guys read before requesting for what could make you rich over night. Please bitcoin doesn't need to be pressured in other to gain profits and for you to enjoy the investment the only alternative is to choose long term investment period maybe from 1 year to 10 years and enjoy the benefits of bitcoin instead of coming here to make unnecessary noise.

I don't know if I should moved this post to meta or here... Please I will be happy if any of you suggest me.
Newbies in the bitcoin sector no matter their age or experience are like children, they won't stop asking questions. It might look unnecessary to you but for them, it is an important question. Sometimes I get exhausted because of some bugging and stupid questions from my children but I have to keep giving them answers because that is the only way they can be guided. I don't blame them for asking these questions because there are so much false information about the Bitcoin space and this is the best forum to ask such questions. We have the responsibility of answering these questions if we have interest, time, and the opportunity.

It is good they are asking just questions because we have seen many newbies that come up teaching threads about issues they know absolutely nothing about.

I also never blame them even though answering such questions is boring, but that's how we can help newbies. I remember when I was new to the market, being a complete newbie, I always had stupid questions like OP mentioned, always looking for a get rich quick. It can be said that all of us have been like them, made the mistakes of a newbie. So don't be too hard on them, no one can grow up or be successful without silly beginnings. If we cannot help them, there is no need to criticize or disparage them.
1154  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: May 04, 2023, 11:36:36 PM
AC Milan efforts to become a UCL participant next season are getting more difficult after being held to a 1-1 draw by Cremonese. This was unexpected, Milan position is currently down to 6th in the standings. Inter, who managed to win the match with a score of 0 - 6, are increasingly comfortable in 4th position. There is only 1 chance if Milan fail in Serie-A, they must succeed in becoming UCL champions this season, if it happen so Milan will automatically qualify for the UCL, but it seems like this is a dream. Only a miracle can bring Milan to success in defeating Inter Milan in the semifinals of the UCL.
Milan's attempt failed because it had been held to a draw by the relegation team, namely Cremonese, so Milan had to be below the qualifying position for the champions league place, while Inter Milan was able to go well because they had won a number of matches, AC Milan had almost the same fate in being held to a draw twice.
Look at the 34th week that will win once for us to see and watch.
AC Milan vs Lazio
Rome vs Inter
Juventus vs Atalanta.
Whoever wins will change their fate to return to the 4th position in the standings.

Milan is certainly losing their chances. They do not have any losses in the last 5 matches. But they certainly do not have enough wins as well. They have only one win in the last 5 matches. That is certainly not enough when you are fighting for the Champions League position. Quite sure that they are going to end up playing in the Europa League competition. At least that's what is going to happen if they do not improve.

Right now it looks really hard for Milan to actually finish in the top 4. The point difference is not very big but the way the teams which are ahead of them performing right now it is really hard for them to get ahead. I also highly doubt that they will be able to beat Inter in the Champions League semi-final as well.

Well, Alcaraz won 6:4, 7:5 but Khachanov also played really well.
winning when you are not playing great is a real champion, and that is what missing in Tsitsipas or Medvedev
Alcaraz made it through this round, Coric is SF, and probably Tsitsipas in final, looking at other half of the draw
Tsitsipas is a good bet today, but has no value, due to low odds, he should certianly win, but 2:0 is not his usual, so handicap option is not good and winning odds are low
And we have seen it so many times with Federer, Nadal and Djokovic where they
come close to losing a match but are able to dig deep, never give up and fully
believe they can rescue a possible lost match.
Alcaraz clearly has it, Tsitsipas and Medvedev I believe have that attitude but dont
have that extra talent, Medvedev has it on hard courts though, clay is not his favourite
type of playing surface.

Alcaraz is certainly going to be the next big superstar of tennis. I actually think that there might be a time when he will actually go without having too many competitive games. The legends that we had in the game are retiring one by one. And I do not think there is anyone right now who can actually give a good competition to Alcaraz. At least not right now.

The talent which he has shown so far is really incredible. His skills are also almost unmatched. Not even Tsitsipas or Medvedev. Smiley
1156  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: May 03, 2023, 07:23:42 PM
In terms of motivation, chemistry and confidence, Chelsea have slumped from being the most disappointing team in the Premier League to simply being the worst. So far as Frank Lampard remains the coach of this Chelsea side, they’ll still not win any of their games. They have 5 more games to go. If Chelsea lose at the weekend they will find themselves below Bournemouth and possibly Wolves. And realistically, I don’t see them taking any point from the remaining teams.
Lampard's statistics in training Chelsea this time are 6 matches and 4 defeats for him with details of 4 in the EPL and 2 legs in the Champions League. Obviously this is not a good thing for them at the moment and I actually feel this is making Chelsea even worse at the moment.

They have 5 more games left for this season and as much as possible they should be able to get points against Bournemouth and Nottingham Forrest in order to secure their position a little in the mid-table because seeing the 3 final matches with Manchester City, Manchester United and Newcastle to be honest I doubt it.
If indeed they can secure 6 points in 2 matches out of 5, that is good enough because otherwise it is not impossible for them to continue to get closer to the relegation zone.

@CryptocurencyKing, After all, we can certainly say that it is not going to be surprising if Chelsea does not end up winning even a single match from those which are left. I don't think there is anything to achieve for Chelsea this season anymore. If they have a chance to win against any team in the upcoming matches, I will say it is going to be against Nottingham Forest. Otherwise, I don't see any team which will be an easy opponent for Chelsea.

Another thing is if Chelsea does win all of the five matches that are left, even that is not going to get them anywhere. Not even in the top six. They are certainly going to finish as a mid-table team.
1157  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: May 03, 2023, 05:52:45 PM
@Sithara007 Test cricket becomes interesting only when the big 4 play and thus it’s not a surprise that ICC doesn’t even bother to make changes in the current system. Also I too love watching the Ashes because of the history of this tournament and the epic rivalry that England and Australia share, however currently I feel that Australia will crush England if England player’s quit international cricket for Franchise cricket.
We still don't know which players are currently involved in discussions with the IPL franchises. My guess is that it will be Ben Stokes, Jos Buttler, Sam Curran, Mark Wood, Moeen Ali and Jason Roy. Ben Stokes is currently captaining the England test side and his absence will be a big blow. For now, bowling won't be much impacted, since most of the workload will be handled by Stuart Broad and Jimmy Anderson. There is no such threat for Australia. Their players always prefer playing for the country, over IPL contracts.

This is a very unique situation. It is hard to come up with a solution, to be honest. If we put it in simple terms, basically the players want the money that they are getting from the IPL to be the exact same as what they get from the cricket board. But IPL is always going to pay a lot more. At least compared to the national cricket board.

I believe IPL has actually done this very well because they have recognized that they will have a better chance with the England players for this type of contract instead of the Australian players.

So they are trying to lure the England players in. They also know that if an England player does agree to this type of contract, probably Australian players will also follow in their footsteps. I believe right now nothing is certain.
1158  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I don't know if am right or wrong about this. on: May 03, 2023, 05:37:51 AM
You are right, but you should be able to explain more that trading is not easy and need time to be a pro trader. He should learn more from various sources to improve his analytical skills. You can also teach him about what you know so he can learn from you. Would it be better if you guys could study together?

You have to clarify that you don't use big money to trade, especially if he doesn't have enough knowledge. And don't forget to tell her that trading is not a quick way to get rich.
People's thinking is that you are making profit by trading and making your living, means now they want profit like you. But they will not see how hard you have worked to get this far, instead they will pressure you to give them trading signals so that they can earn almost for free without any effort!

They can be advised to develop trading skills, but in reality they are mostly not interested in developing trading skills through hard work. The real problem here is that if you bring someone into the market to trade, the pressure they put on you may cause your trading activity to be interrupted due to distraction.
And this is a problem that is very common, when someone sees that you are having some sort of success the first thing that they think is that if you can do it then they can do it too, and in fact they are not wrong on that belief, but they do not want to work hard for it just like you did, they want you to give them a shortcut so they can become as successful as you are but without working anywhere near as hard as you did, and as we know that is never going to work, because anything that is worth anything in this life is going to cost you, and cost you a lot.

I also admit that it is too common, which is what many people think. I remember when I was introduced to forex trading by a friend, I also asked him to give me signals because I saw him making a lot of money. He could not refuse my request, but after many successes in that way, we also failed many times. Since then, I realized I was putting pressure on my friend because he could not always make a profit. I decided to learn everything on my own and not make it difficult for my friends.
It can be said that inviting someone to participate in trading will put us in a dilemma, and a lot of unwanted problems will occur. We should refrain from doing it, even if it is our loved ones.

If bitcoin cannot pass or create new ATH again, of course there will be boredom and panic from investors, people will think that bitcoin has lost interest so that prices cannot pass through ATH, and if that happens of course we have to prepare the best thing to leave bitcoin immediately.

Not everyone participates in the market for profit, some still use bitcoin as a currency, a means of payment, and some use it for privacy purposes. So if bitcoin no longer generates new ATH, it will lose some users but not all. But in case it does not generate new ATH but maintains volatility, we still have the possibility to profit from it, many people will also stay in the market.

I also won't give up entirely if bitcoin stabilizes because it is still useful as a currency, especially since bitcoin still helps me to be my own bank, my assets are not controlled by the government and banks.

Every 4 years, we expect bull market just because of halving. What do you think when is this chain is going to broken? Ie, halving no longer equals that bull market is coming.

If that happens, then we need to adapt to it, I was thinking about that too, because the market will change at some point, it's not easily as predictable as it is now. Things will get mixed up and become more unpredictable as investors get smarter. But in the end, as long as the demand for bitcoin continues to increase while the supply cannot be replenished, I have nothing to worry about regarding the future bitcoin price. If the bull season doesn't come after the halving, we just have to wait patiently for a while, and everything will come.
