Is someone stress testing the network?  Seems like a lot of BTC flying around!

This looks like a very positive trend. It could either be a huge investor (like Bill Gates or some millionaire) or probably the Chinese as they usually are the ones that drive the price up (according to what I have seen) Expect this to happen more once Bitcoin gets the attention it deserves and it is accepted as a mainstream currency.  Smiley
11482  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your biggest problem with Bitcoin on: December 26, 2015, 11:11:08 PM
At least for me, my biggest problem with Bitcoin is confirmation times and acceptance in real/physical stores. If somehow Bitcoin could improve confirmation times by making it faster (like Litecoin perhaps) then it would be great (at least for me) Still, it is not bad to pay an extra TX fee to speed it up though. I am hoping that someday Bitcoin would become mainstream and be accepted in real/physical stores to buy stuff with it locally.  Smiley
11483  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you used Bitcoin as Real money to buy Real/physical goods? on: December 26, 2015, 11:07:43 PM
I have only used Bitcoin as real money once when I went to an electronics store and surprisingly it had a Bitcoin Accepted Here badge on its front door. It was then that I payed with Bitcoins to buy a Sony Cybershot WX220 camera. I was surprised to see that the store accepted Bitcoin since there are not many stores that do so out here in my country. It is a good thing to see Bitcoin being adopted slowly in it.  Smiley
11484  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Welcome To The Blockchain on: December 26, 2015, 11:01:32 PM
Great song! It is very catchy and also a great way of getting people to know the Blockchain better. My friends and I like this song, and we are looking forward for new songs as well.  Smiley
11485  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you holding your bitcoin for a price increase? on: December 26, 2015, 10:47:51 PM
I am definitely holding my Bitcoins for the next price increase. It is expected to happen after the next halving which will take place on next year. I think that the majority of Bitcoin users (including me) are waiting for this exciting moment to profit. Even still, I spend some BTC to buy goods such as physical coins and bullion.  Smiley
11486  Other / Off-topic / Re: Complete the sentence... "I would sell all my Bitcoins if..." on: December 26, 2015, 10:45:07 PM
I would sell all of my Bitcoins if the price reaches $1000 or above. Then I would cash them out and deposit the earnings into my bank account. But just in case, I have left some BTC on a wallet card for future reference. If the price goes up drastically, my life would be complete.  Grin
11487  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you earn a lot of free bitcoins fast? on: December 26, 2015, 10:41:45 PM
It is very complicated to earn free Bitcoins fast unless you are skilled and manage to make a lot of profit in one day by selling your services and making trading as well. As trading is risky, it is worth it once you know how to do it right and minimize losses to earn profit. You can always try alt coin trading and if done right (and depending on how price performs on the market for the specific alt coin) you could earn a decent amount of profit.

This might not be fast, but you will get to at least 1 Bitcoin if you do as mentioned above. Also, try looking into signature campaigns as they are highly rewarding depending on your constructive posts and high rank.  Smiley
11488  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [SDC] ShadowCash | POSV2 | Untraceable E-Cash | NIZKP | HD+BIP32 | ShadowMarket* on: December 26, 2015, 10:05:06 PM
Hey I just recently got into ShadowCoin but there are some things that I quite don't understand yet. How does the stealth address differences itself from the public address? Also, if I have some SDC on an exchange, which address shall I use to withdraw them to my wallet? The public one or the stealth one?  Huh

Another thing is that I have downloaded the bootstrap.dat file and placed it on my appdata directory but the wallet takes hours (forever) to load. Is this normal or is just me? Thanks and happy holidays  Smiley

Merry Christmas
Everyone
I hope everyone had a wonder Chrsitmas.

Merry Christmas to you and the rest of the Burst community! I have been closely following Burst (even though I still don't have any balance) and I could say it has a very interesting concept. The ability to mine BURST with your HDD makes it a great and efficient way to mine coins without the need to buy expensive ASIC or GPU mining equipment. This is really awesome. I like the wallet interface and its features (especially the Asset Exchange and Marketplace) I think I am going to buy some BURST before the year ends as they are extremely cheap right now.

Wish you all the best!  Cheesy

I have an issue regarding login in to my web wallet via the TurboCharged game. No matter what I do, I stays on Please Wait and I cannot play the game because of this. I have tried disabling Windows Firewall and even the router's firewall but still no luck. Can you help me with this, please? I want to play this game really badly but this issue does not allow me to do so.  Sad

What a nice early Christmas present!!  44.5K of those are now mine!!

That is really great! I have bought a bunch of them at really cheap prices. Now that most of the alt coins prices has gone low (including CSC) it is the perfect time to buy coins at these cheap prices. CasinoCoin is really cheap right now, compared to how it was in the last few weeks. Grab them before it is too late.  Cheesy
11492  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Methods of growing your Bitcoin? on: December 26, 2015, 07:20:43 PM
I've found remarkable success in the past by chooising a promising alt, and holding it as long as it takes until it pumps, then decide when to sell. Maidsafe, Ethereum, Monero, or even Vanillacoin are coins that should deliver eventual big pumps. I think Litecoin is on this list too.

Same as me here, mate. But I only choose Ethereum, Maidsafe and Monero as promising ones. I don't think that Vanillacoin might be one as well (looks pretty much the same as other alts, nothing innovative) unless I am missing something. I will go make a research just to be safe before investing anything into it. Price has been going down lately on VNL (and also the majority of alts) so it is a good sign to buy more while I still can.  Grin

This crypto currency has a very interesting concept for GPU mining. However, according to Coinmarketcap, there hasn't been trading activity/volume in the last days. Also, price has stayed the same. Am I missing something? Is this coin still alive?  Huh
11494  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Expanse (EXP) - Fair Launch, No ICO, Community DAO, based on Ethereum on: December 26, 2015, 07:08:30 PM
Why EXP down?

Not only Expanse, but the rest of the other alt coins as well. These last days of this year has been one where Bitcoin's price has lowered and it as affected other alts as well. Maybe people are just dumping EXP to cash them out and buy Xmas gifts. We'll see next year if price will continue to go up.  Cheesy

Does anyone know if devs are going to fix sync issue with wallet?

I'm not really sure now that it has been really quiet around here, not to mention that there hasn't been any innovation around lately. But I can tell you that everything is working fine for my wallet as it syncs properly with no hassles at all. I'm running it on Windows 10 by the way. What exactly seems to be the problem? Perhaps I could help you with this.  Smiley

ends year, the approximate total stock of what has passed, but not what we expect )

Interesting. Ripple is at the top here, but it is the only one that lacks true decentralization. Ethereum might have a good chance of replacing Bitcoin, but at this time it is still uncertain. Another thing is that Litecoin and Ripple has nearly the same marketcap. Only time will tell which crypto currency (if not Bitcoin) will remain at the top.  Smiley

11498  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The future of Bitcoin on: December 26, 2015, 12:23:46 PM
Being used in every country this would be good for the bitcoin community, another thing is the number of bitcoin ATM should be increased so people could easily buy or sell bitcoin near and faster.

Exactly. This would drive Bitcoin's price all the way up to the moon if there is end interest in it and gets adopted by major big corporations. Maybe someday we will get to see Bitcoin ATMs everywhere and perhaps we will get to see a famous celebrity using Bitcoin as well.  Roll Eyes
11499  Economy / Economics / Re: Passive Income on: December 26, 2015, 12:11:59 PM
One of the good ways for passive income could be Cloud Mining (legit no scam) and investing on shares and get paid dividends. If you go to the cloud mining route, I'd suggest you choose Genesis Mining or Hashnest, but if you decide to invest in shares, you can check out OBITS, Bleutrade Shares or Blockshares. Just make a research before making an investment.  Wink
11500  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Methods of growing your Bitcoin? on: December 26, 2015, 12:05:34 PM
I hold my bitcoin when the price is still low. Holding bitcoin will make us some profit because bitcoin's price increases every year slowly.
If you don't want to hold bitcoin for long term profit, you can try to do trading. Trading will grow your bitcoin quickly with current market price and movement.

But trading will effectively work if you have experience doing so, otherwise you would be risking your money if trading alt coins, since they are highly volatile. You could always take advantage of Bitcoins price volatility and make some profit. It is good to hold your Bitcoins for when the next price increase comes by, you would have made some profit.  Grin
