crap and lies, i will inform the same journalist of your lies, non of them features are in existence

when people will look for them they wont find them and feel betrayed they will never come back and look to nxt again becausse of your lies

Could u inform them right now? We don't need to spend our time then...

At least Emule troll has a valid point here. salsacz has a history of "promoting" thing that are not implemented and don't exist,  and there is no guarantee  all these things will be implemented.

surely a new trend will emerge but i don't think this one has ended... do you even know how many countries there are in the world? Smiley)

It doesn't matter how many countries there are in the world. People have gotten smarter after Aurora. Spain one was total failure, this is going fast in the  same direction
1165  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Aphrodite Coin [APH] boost of Cyprus economy - Coinmarketcap position 5 ! on: March 24, 2014, 06:52:30 AM

LOL

Looks looks like "premined" for a country scams are coming to end fast. People have gotten smarter after Aurora.

Time to find new scam, guys

I propose that 2Kool lock this thread at page 2500 and we do a mass migration over there.

Absolutely not

Here we go:

Whitepaper V1.3

eXocoin wiki (more content will follow obviously)

We got some other logo suggestions as well. We will review all of them and then going to choose one/discuss with you the right one.

What kind of RSA keys are you using? 1024? 2048? 4096?
Right now we use 2048, but we could think of using 4096 as well. Anyway the implementation of EC is still on our agenda as well!

I  think 2048 will be fine for many years still
1168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NXT :: descendant of Bitcoin - Updated Information on: March 23, 2014, 09:01:45 PM

Can I summarise the SSL situation as:

No SSL on nodes. Not needed.

SSL on forums/wiki may be useful, if only as security theater.

Wesleys client must have SSL in order to function securely. http://nxtra.org/nxt-client/

Correct me if i'm wrong.

My client doesn't need SSL to function securely (No passwords are sent to the server). Jean-luc talks about privacy. Not sure what he means by that though. However if you want to forge, the API requires that you send your password so that does needs SSL.

SSL is needed to ensure that javascript client is not manipulated during transmission

Wesley,
Have you considered implementing a random character generator into the nxt client, and then saving that string in a local file encrypted by a password chosen on the first login? It would act as the equivalent of a wallet file.

I can write the scripts for you in whatever language you need...

Here is Lastpass and wesley client in action.  No need to type the password again -- just one click to login.  These password managers are pretty secure (probably more secure than custom walet.dat).
Passwords are encrypted with AES and you get online encrypted backups that can be protected with 2 factor authentication.

Back up is very important security step as losing walet.dat would be disaster

Available coins to mine: 7.5 million

Premine wallets to check (no coins will be dumped): akcZHMfEXrdB7riYpiJyVrVVyHCe84gRpD , adqGRuXaQa5F5JkwMLezZXbqrReooPfxwL

The first address zero has coins and second has 10 million. What happened to the rest?

Or the user can just save it in a browser based password manager (I use lastpass but there are several other choices) They won't have type to the password again as the plugins have one click auto-fill option, and the users will have an encrypted backup online with 2 factor authentication.

She never posted anything here after that, ... top 50 c4s store (that is clips4sale) anyone can confirm she isn't me Smiley

now that's interesting, would she consider selling clips for nem?
(maybe in some limited amount)

We will need some some kind of decentralized digital store. The price fluctuation (compared to fiat) would be a problem too. It will be pain to change prices if Nem goes up and down 100% in a day.  She can bring some other top c4s sellers too if she realize that will be good for her as stakeholder (or if she is paid).

(though most of them won't be interested if they have to deal with price fluctuations).

By the way, I know contact address of clips4sale owner (his name  is neil), and months ago when I suggested to him to accept bitcoins, he backed off immediately when he saw price fluctuations.
1174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Nxt source code flaw reports on: March 22, 2014, 09:34:13 PM
@Twin: This is just a quick-and-dirty implementation, If we had a good structure (maybe some B-trees with a lookup complexity of O(log) ) where all NXT accounts were stored, we could mine them all parallely.
Thats what the github Repository is for ... let us make this "first approach" better ;-)

I am not doubting that.

We could make a mining pool/mining list where we add account numbers, where we are XX% sure that they are DarkNXT (not accessible because of lost/forgotten passphrase)

They would be "lost" if the sender sent them to wrong ID (mistyped, copy paste error, etc).
1175  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Nxt source code flaw reports on: March 22, 2014, 09:30:38 PM
Here is the Account Miner, and I hope to discuss it with you guys:

https://github.com/litecoin-extras/nxt-account-miner

Build it with simply running:
Code:
./make.sh

And run it with:
Code:
./bruteforcer

In the code specify:
Code:
unsigned long long global_iter = 33333333333LL;
which is the starting private key point P=global_iter * G

And specify the target AccountID:
Code:
unsigned long long target = 16386134630970163904LL;

Also play around with the number of parallely executed processes:
Code:
int ntimes = 2;

I am not sure if the code is all correct, so please review the code and let us make it better ;-)

Why do u need the target account? Mine all the accounts!

Checking against a list of all HiberNXT accounts would significantly lower the rate of 10millionaccs/s

Targeting just one account will be very slow though. 146 years to find it with 4 billion per second  rate. If you get very lucky (just after 10% of search), it will still take 14 years.

1176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Nxt source code flaw reports on: March 22, 2014, 09:26:41 PM
wait i remember having a github account ... let me push it.

10M account/s? That's pretty impressive, I only could push 6.4M on a 3.4GHz laptop.

10,000,000 accounts/s per PC would need about 317097 years to check all possible digits.
Faster PCs + a mass of miners would lower that number significantly, but then again i thought this was a feature and not a bug?

Even 4 billion accounts/per sec will take 146 years to recover all accounts with no outgoing transactions. However, if there are 1000 accounts with no public key that will mean 0.146 years to recover one account on average

1177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Nxt source code flaw reports on: March 22, 2014, 09:15:51 PM
To be more precise, you can theoretically "mine" twice as fast as the BTC Mining Hardware (as you only need one round of sha256 and the Curve25519 stuff comes at no cost as it is just incerementing the pubkey by 9 = basepoint in each round). So on a FPGA you could try 1,6 billion accounts per second, and on a 7990 GPU around 4 billion accounts per second. Only a matter of time, until you find one public key, which SHA256 hash matches an existing account in the first 8 bytes.

Interesting approach! Can u get the private key out of this? Or sign a transaction?

PS: Ability to "mine" accounts not secured by a 256-bit key was made on purpose.

Not all accounts without outgoing transactions are lost nxt. This should be be made even more clear to users who login to their accounts but don't have outgoing transactions.

I deposited 100 nxt to crypsty account but there is no outgoing transactions in that account. I hope crypsty (and other exchanges) are aware this could be a problem

Can someone mind to explain what this is: 1739068987193023818 with: -999'997'009.00

http://www.mynxt.info/blockexplorer/details.php?action=ac&ac=1739068987193023818

Is it a anomaly?

How did u find it?

Why does it matter how? Dunno, I found it some other day.... but what the heck is it?

I made the same mistake myself. This is the Genesis account, where all NXT come from ;-)

The password for that account is

"It was a bright cold day in April, and the clocks were striking thirteen."
1179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NXT :: descendant of Bitcoin - Updated Information on: March 22, 2014, 08:07:51 PM

Are you trolling?

You can't buy pot this way because you would buy the right to buy pot... and not pot directly. It is not a shop but an exchange.

Also you only buy an IOU. Like a share is....

Yes you need to trust bitstamp to redeem it, but the exchange of those tokens is trustless

I wasn't trolling Smiley Why can't I buy pot by redeeming pot asset-- just like bitcoin would be redeemed by bitstamp?

The seller issues a pot asset. I buy it (with some amount of nxt).  Then I "redeem" it and the sellers mails me the pot (I have to send him my address but that's between me and the seller).

Because it is retarded (sry). If i want to sell pot, i want to know when money comes in and when i have to send out something. Why would i issue tokens so that someone can buy those and then redeem them anytime they want? Also what if i only want to sell a good for a limited time?

The buyer buys it and redeems it right away. If the buyer waits for an year, well, he lost his money and the asset is worthless.

We have messaging system. The buyer can send (encrypted) message to the seller and they can arrange am agreement.

What use is the asset exchange in this scenario?? Why not use a marketplace?

What market place? Silkroad where FBI confiscated all the money? Silkroad 2.0 where they claim someone stole their bitcoins? On asset exchange the seller and buyer are dealing directly with each other, without a third party involvement.
