How important is it to keep your bitcoin investments secret from others ?

What's the benefits of telling your investment to others? A counter question to your inquiry. We have no obligation to share our investment to anyone because that's personal and very sensitive. I done’t one anyone dipping noses on my money because that's my secret. Making it an open book to everyone will just put your life at risk or danger because jealousy and greed of human.

For all those sharing their investment publicly using their real identity. You should stop doing that since your only purpose for doing that is for bragging with a little bit of encouragement. Investment is better to keep private because its not meant to be shown in public because of human greediness.
1162  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: with the high transaction fees btc makes me stronger to hold btc. on: May 10, 2023, 02:30:44 PM
2: my goal of investing in btc is for a long term investment so with expensive transaction fees
makes me stronger holding btc, because my goal is to invest in btc for the long term.

This is self contradictory since your goal is to invest long term then why would you consider a high fee as way to hold? You should wish to have a low transaction since you will purchase more if your goal is really long-term. It's useless to view this way because it only means that your real goal is not long-term since you tend to sell your holdings if the transaction the fee is cheap.

My opinion is you should not look on this attack positively because it reflects negatively to the asset that you are currently invested.

I’m surprised that no one is talking here about the new promotion of Bitcasino posted on the telegram channel despite its easy to join and the reward is high. The new event is called “Gems Everywhere 💎”. A gem will popup once you completed wager the required 5000$. The reward on the gem is ramdom upon opening and the admin confirm that its max prize is 5000$. You literally get a total refund if you get lucky on hitting max prize when you lose 5000$ while wagering.  Cheesy

Make sure to opt-in before you play to become eligible for the gems. Complete details is available here https://bcsite.io/GEM

I also thought before that being a participant is a difficult thing to be a participant but it turned out to be my guess wrong and being a participant is pretty easy, it's nice to be a predictor at Bitcasino too.  Cheesy
Why did you think that being a participant in these contests is difficult? You just guess without risking any money and observe whether your predictions were right or wrong. Very simple process!

You can also participate in similar contests too(Ex: Sinbad) for better chances of winning a prize.

Exactly, Probably he doesn't want competition pressure even if the contest is just free. There are user that thinks that they will not gonna win even they still doesn't try. I’m of those users that same like him that doesn't place any prediction but because I always messed up on the deadline since I want to maximize the time before I place my prediction for a close time frame prediction.

My mind is always occupied by my job and I always forgot about the prediction once I browse in the forums new topics. If only the forum has a notification and favorites feature, I’m sure that we can always keep an eye on important contest like this since most of us is not full time here in the forum.

See that either on some casino and mostly it happen on newly launch. Although I can't also name the casino to avoid any trouble but we can all agree that Bitcasino really come up with unique ideas and promotion to entertain their users. And adding prediction contest is already spice up the scene since gamblers have an options to have fun and participate on exciting btc prediction which has is always launch every month.
I’m a player of Sportsbet and Bitcasino. Both of them offers a unique contest that suits to their specialty aside from their regular rakeback and cashback bonuses. The management of this casino know well how to give back some of their profit to the community. This the main feature which top casino have in the forum.

Bitcasino starts the Bitcoin predictor contest hosted by a casino while their sister company sportsbet introduced as the free bet through their contest on weekly basis. They convert their signature campaign to a consistent giveaway that is beneficial for everyone.
1166  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What kind of rewards/bonuses do you prefer? on: May 08, 2023, 02:19:33 PM
Caaaashhhh. Withdrawable ones. I know most casinos, if not all, frown upon giving money itself as rewards but hey, its still something we'd honestly want.

I like this but this is not a rewards/bonus but a charity. Casino will not gonna give a straight cash reward unless there’s a cash on it. Only Duelbits is the only casino that I know that gives cash drops without any wagering requirements during their major event such as Christmas and Easter Egg hunt giveaway. The only was the cash drop is below the minimum withdrawal amount which means you will need to deposit additional funds or bet the reward until it grows to the minimum withdrawal amount.

It's also welcome for some rewards to be just given randomly without any requirements, like just login at x day maybe as the simplest form of requirement to redeem it or something.

This is exactly the Duelbits type of giveaway. Random rewards without any requirements such as dirty wagering requirements.
1167  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Lightning network for signature campaign payment? on: May 08, 2023, 12:52:24 PM
Anyway, I don't think the recent high fee is an issue for a signature campaign. Most of the projects spend thousand of dollars for the campaign and fee won't create an issue. Usually, team gives me a budget of $30 for the network fee and I add the rest in the upcoming weekly budget.

Not only on the management side is the problem. Even campaign participants like don’t want to spend my Bitcoin on my wallet since the fee consume a huge percentage of my money. I’m ok watching my Bitcoin value goes down since Bitcoin price is dipping rather than accept a realized loss of 15$ just to sent my Bitcoin on exchange to spend it.

So far only viable one is to just pay the tx or maybe do biweekly or monthly payments if all participants are fine with that. Hope to see some more solutions that I did not think about.

This is a good solution because we are already forced to hold due to the fees and I think the majority of users here is not using Bitcoin as main source of income or else they will suck up on a realized loss on fees.

Sorry but we showed enough evidence and we are 100% sure you break our multiple account policy

Do you confiscate even the deposit amount? The user should get a refund of his deposit and just confiscate the profit on his balance. Most of the casino here don’t confiscate the original because that’s unfair for the user despite he violates your multiple account terms. It’s like robbing a thief with his money if you didn’t release original funds.

From since he is so open why not send him to a mediator in the EU or better to a court.a legal point of view, there cannot be a restriction on registration from 1 IP address.

Nahhh, The ToS of the casino will govern even if you send this to a mediator. It’s a waste of time and money to do such thing if there’s a valid evidence for multiple account.

@betcrypto.cr do the connected account use self affiliate or abuse bonus of your casino? Because having someone with same IP without abusing any of your bonus won’t harm the casino.

Aster vs Liquid now live. Liquid already took game 1 but the fight is so intense from early to late game. Aster has the kills advantage on mid game while Liquid has gold advantage. Both picks are good especially the sustain on both sides that makes the clash last longer.

Aster has the chance to win the game if Monet is not afraid on dying. He is not committing too much on clash and run whenever he feels low using his ss even though he can still take down some hero before he died. This is what Notail trying to point out on Aster. Their carry is afraid to die rather than to contribute damage until the end to give a team wipe.

I bet +1.5 on Aster. I hope they can manage to get at least 1 game because game is very close to an even match.
I look at this as normal news, no special about it.  The writer is just publishing a normal article at siguro wala siyan makitang medyo kakaibang source.

More on investment and trading companies ito.

1172  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 05, 2023, 02:22:44 AM
I’m surprised to see the Warriors playing small against the Lakers but I guess they figured they couldn’t beat Anthony Davis even with Looney playing well, so they’re trying to make him play their game.

That’s their only chance with their small roster. Their big man is no match to Davis. Only Giannis, Embid and other star center can much Davis inside while average center like Looney can’t beat him on inside scoring and defending.

Warriors main arsenal is their 3 point shoot. They should keep doing that if they want to win instead of keep penetrating the point while there’s a big threat inside. Davis is also contained by having 4 points only. He is useless if no one is entering the paint. His blocks gave him motivation to score more. He is not active if he feels that he is not useful in the game. The word is momentum. Lakers doesn’t have one now.
1173  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Is there a way to downgrade Electrum android wallet on: May 05, 2023, 02:16:12 AM
You can copy the master public key on Android Electrum.

@Eternad
For your wallet addresses. If to copy the address is the problem. At the upper left corner, click on your wallet name -> addresses. The receiving and change addresses are listed there, including the number of transactions made using each addresses. You will see the address you are looking for there, click on the address and you will be able to copy the address.

For incoming addresses or both, you can use blockchain explorer for it or import the master private key into another wallet.

I hope Electrum developers will correct this. Including seeing the transaction input which can not be seen on Android Electrum directly.

Thanks charles and everyone, My main issue is copying the address that I have previous transaction either sent or received. I remember the address use for by browsing my transaction history and check the amount. The previous version is very helpful because I can just copy the address on the sent and receive transaction history without the use of blockchain explorer and manually pasting the txid. This is not a big a deal but the previous version have this feature which is why I’m not use to using the blockchain explorer just to copy address that I made transaction before.

You can post the missing "copy to clipboard" feature as a new issue in Electrum's GitHub page: https://github.com/spesmilo/electrum/issues
I've checked and v4.3.4 indeed can copy the previous transaction's outputs just by tapping one of them.

Thanks on this. I will report the missing feature and probably improvement.

Last question: What’s the purposed in security of manually writing down the seed phrase? I’m copying my seed phrase most of the time. I want to know the real danger of it to stop doing that habit.

1174  Bitcoin / Electrum / Is there a way to downgrade Electrum android wallet on: May 04, 2023, 11:01:24 AM
I accidentally upgraded my electrum android wallet  app to the latest version but the new version sucks because it doesn’t support copy of wallet address that I made transaction before. Also there’s no way to copy the seed phrase of the wallet aside from writing it down manually.

The new version just improved the UI but it removes some feature that is important like copy button. Is there a way to downgrade my electrum wallet without losing all the wallet imported on it. My seed phrase is stored in my computer which is out of reach right now while I have multiple imported wallet on electrum that I don’t want to write down the seed phrase manually. Is this possible?
1175  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcasino.io 🖤 - Road to Riches raffle taking you to Las Vegas! ✈️ on: May 04, 2023, 09:49:36 AM
Use live support for your concern because they response quicker.

The support usually reply any concern. Provide complete info of your concern and supporting evidence that the team is not responding to your concern.
Support takes time. If the user wants to get support from Bitcasino's representative in Bitcointalk, leave his username on Bitcasino then the team can check it for him.
Nope. I use Bitcasino customer many times and they are always quick on fixing the issue. This case just need enough time because they are investigating the user account. Bringing this to the Bitcointalk support will just result the same since they will  transfer the case to security team which currently handling the case.

Also, the only time Bitcointalk support will enter on the case is when the casino representative is not making some response which is not the case here.

they just sent an email notifying me that identity verification was successful but they still ask me if I have another account when I just joined for the first time why didn't they ask me to verify my identity when I made a deposit? Deposit and play until withdraw, they make it difficult

Casino usually do the investigation during withdrawal since there’s no security issue when your funds is still in the casino. They do the background check when you are already withdrawing the money. Be patient if you knew that didn’t do shady things. They will release your funds soon and be honest to them since they have records of your account including IP address.
1176  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcasino.io 🖤 - Road to Riches raffle taking you to Las Vegas! ✈️ on: May 04, 2023, 01:25:50 AM
i joined the game after i withdrew my money was caught verifying my identity i verified as requested but still no response

Use live support for your concern because they response quicker. I believe your case is already handed over with the security tram since your account probably accused for violating the terms such as probable mixer or doing some shady activity. How long do you wait already because KYC verification always took a couple of days to verify especially if your account is under investigation.

The support usually reply any concern. Provide complete info of your concern and supporting evidence that the team is not responding to your concern.

Use imgur to upload pictures and copy the link here. Nevertheless, the team will surely reply to you. You just need to wait.

Kialara is my most favorite collectible even though I’m just lurking around here because I can’t afford owning one.

I think your raffle will be swarm by a lot of interest if ever you will manage to make a deal with them for a customized wallet. All of their art is stunning and a gem. Ofc I’m suggesting this to make me have a chance to own one for free.

Official website: https://kialara.com/

Omg, a kialara custom wallet would certainly draw A LOT of attention. You would be sure to have made a lasting impression. Most coin-mixers don't last that long, so maybe not what you are looking for?  Wink
But even if Max were to do such a project it will be on the steeper side of things in regards of funding. His products are pieces of art and mostly hand crafted.

Definitely, I knew that this is complicated to be honest. But pulling this kind of deal will show how dedicated this mixer on promoting their brand to the peak level in the forum. Although this idea is pure self interest due to my obsession to Kialara wallet for a long time.

Kialara is indeed a piece of art worthy to be one of the premium collectibles here in the forum. Maybe Unijoin can do this and show us they are planning long term.  Wink

1180  Economy / Gambling / Re: List of crypto casinos with high wagering requirements on: May 03, 2023, 01:56:53 PM

The normal wagering requirement for deposit without bonus in Fortunejack is 2x as what we can see in the FAQ page.

I’m surprised that FJ increase their initial deposit wagering requirements from x1 to x2 from the last time I play on the casino.

So if OP want to add it on the list, it will be better if the information is written as 2x-5x.
Frankly, having the term about "suspected users" for using the site as mixer is a bit confusing for me.
If a casino has a standard wagering requirement already (1x-2x), I dont think there is no urgency for the casino to have the term for different wagering requirement for suspected users.

Considering how the OP manage the list. He is only mentioning the highest wagering requirements available since he is trying to emphasize here casino with high wagering requirements. I remember reading some comments before about Livecasino having x5 wagering requirements for suspected mixers. Livecasino doesn’t have wagering requirements at all on regular withdrawal but still the casino is listed under x5 wagering requirements because it’s the highest possibility in the casino.

This list is made out of frustration with his experience on high wagering requirements of the casino. I can’t blame him on this.
