122  Economy / Services / Re: will sell signature space. Full member with AVATAR on: November 27, 2014, 08:26:34 AM
Wait for a week. There will be many signature campaigns starting up! But I am sure that none of them would pay you 0.00075btc/post. You will be able to get 0.0002btc/post maximum
That is true, he might even get 0.0003 as a full member.
I dont think that anyone will be willing to pay more than 0.0002BTC/post. The signature market has very few competitors and there are enough full member accounts that will accept the 0.0002 rate.
This market has crashed since primedice, updown and ritz left the field. I miss those old days.

There is now a new sig campaign opening https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=874528.0.
As a full member, you can get 0.125 btc for 50 posts and another 0.1 for 50 posts more.

ritz still pays 0.0006 btc per post

lol is the ritz casino still open?

At least the campaign died months ago with no signs of coming back

yep its still alive

If you are talking about this Ritz Casino https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=630083.0, it has stopped its sig campaign months ago and now even the casino itself https://www.ritzgrandcasino.com/ no longer work.
124  Economy / Services / Re: Cryptomine.io - Signature Campaign with a twist - Well worth your time on: November 27, 2014, 08:03:58 AM
it looks like, there is no possibility of reservation
CHECK OP

Well may be you should check post #3. Smiley
Yes, sure. Sopts can be reserved starting now. Just please hold all actual signup details for after the campaign manager will be appointed. We are looking to find someone and have the signatures ready on Sunday evening at the latest..
125  Economy / Services / Re: PB Mining -- 5 year mining contracts! on: November 27, 2014, 07:47:30 AM
Ive only recently been logging their stats

Have you tracked their payout addresses? I think 1Payday1sm5wGqtatKscfXnxARZ2B2MF3z is one of them. I'd like to know how many contracts they are actually paying out on. 38,000 transactions would be half of all transactions on Sunday, so I have a hard time believing that stat.

No, havent looked in to that yet. But if you look at their stats page, they have  ~6700 customers, not 38K. And you can pay thousands of those in one transaction.
If your listed payout address is correct, then they are paying ~225 BTC /week through that. Theoretical payout for 4.4PH is >380. Perhaps they use other addresses, perhaps customers have been reinvesting their divs..?

Yup that 1Payday address is PB mining's payout address as reported by their customers consistently.

126  Economy / Lending / Re: would someone give a loan? on: November 27, 2014, 07:28:42 AM
Or it could be a cheap way of getting leverage for a month on a hoped for increase in the Bitcoin price, at a cost of $10.
Ignore the collateral for the minute, that's just security to be returned by the escrow on repayment of $1000 plus 1% i.e. $1010.
Say, for the sake of easy calculation, Bitcoin at the time of the loan is trading at $333.3, he gets 3 BTC = $1000.
IF the price goes up to say $505 during the month, then he pays back $1010, now only 2BTC, making a profit on the loan (as well as the collateral).

that's exactly what i mean
i didn't mean to ask for a loan too, just if it would be reasonable someone would do that?
but it is not for buying bitcoin
but indeed, i would pay back 1010$ in bitcoin
if bitcoin is 10100$ in a month i would pay back 0.1 bitcoin, if it's worth 101$ i would give back 10 btc per btc lended. I'll immediately transfer those btc back to fiat so even when the price would go down like hell I'll still be able to pay back. It's just lending out fiat with an intrest rate of 1% a month (of 12.68% a year).
I could also do it with lower amounts maybe but the problem is how to use the collateral then. Is there a way to be 100% sure I'll get my sended btc back when i pay back the loan?
I'm really new in all of this and don't know how everything works

So you don't want to sell your bitcoin for USD and buy bitcoin back later, because you don't want the risk of bitcoin price going up in the next month, right?

What about selling ~2.7 btc for $1000 and buy it back later, and entering a leveraged long position at the same time to hedge the risk?
That would maybe cost me more and give me risk by putting my btc on an exchange

Regarding the cost, I don't think 1% monthly rate is good enough as the lender would have a loss (in terms of bitcoin) as long as bitcoin price goes up just 1% in the next month. I have no idea what is the "fair" rate should be though.

Regarding to risk, you are absolutely right.

Even if I display tendencies of a scammer, does that make me anything near a scammer? I sent him a PM asking who Thoughtful is, I don't even know who he is! Nobody does.

BadBear thinks I am Thoughtful, whoever that i.s

FYI, you can search the member list on https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=mlist;sa=search

Thoughtful is this guy https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=384722

128  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: brokechain.com - what manner of scam is it? on: November 27, 2014, 06:43:20 AM
Thanks KIRAZ.

I figured it would be something along those lines.

If you used it make sure to change all your passwords which match the one you entered on it.
Otherwise report it to google here: https://www.google.com/safebrowsing/report_badware/

Shouldn't it be more appropriate to report the page as phishing page on https://www.google.com/safebrowsing/report_phish/ rather than malware?
129  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Downloadable mining on: November 27, 2014, 06:25:05 AM
So signature campaigns wont help me earn btc unless i'm a higher member so what about mining? Are there any miners that can be downloaded?

try going here http://cointellect.com/?code=ef9ec7dd or a non referal link cointellect.com. You can download their miner and run it on 50% and you can use your pc normaly and at night run it at 100%. Why don't you try that one?
Modern PC aren't profitable for this kind of mining. Cointellect is like dogecoin mining but you get paid by PayPal or other method. It isn't profitable unless you have cheap electricity plus scrypt ASIC. You would be mining a few cents per day and paying dollars in electrical fees if you use your CPU/GPU.

About Cointellect - you just dont get my point - suspicious softwear in my opionion means:

"After scanning the mining software with VirusTotal, Helgesen said the deep antivirus malwares scan revealed 4 possibly malicious hacking viruses, including a Trojan horse:
•Suspicious_GEN.F47V0819
•Hacktool.Win32.BitCoinMiner.bAM
•Artemis!830C7AE47D8D
•a variant of Win32/BitCoinMiner.AM"

Is it enough?

Those can be false positives for example, look at cgminer, minerd etc. When you scan any mining software, it will get detected as a virus. This is normal since bitcoin botnet files usually contains those mining softwares. Once they detect the signature, they would immediately say it's a virus although it is a false positive. Antiviruses aren't as foolproof as you think, false positive happens a lot of the time.

There is a difference between them.
CGminer is open source, and every one can check the code from top to bottom and make the conclusion that it is just a false positive. But for Cointellect, it is not open source. Thus, it is not right IMHO to compare them and then assume the Cointellect program is another false positive.

131  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Wallet For Receiving Bitcoins and Online Transfers? on: November 27, 2014, 06:03:01 AM
hey all.  So im going to create a blockchain account as i read that is what i need since coinbase would close my acct if i use it directly for gambling transactions as ppl here mentioned.

I heard stories about hacks getting hacked and bitcoins are no longer there.  How do i make sure this doesn't happen?  I heard about hot/cold storage etc.   I had thought if I just have a good password, that i should be fine.  But that isn't enough?  I hear so many complicated things like you need to do these excessive password etc... can someone explain this?

Last thing i want is to log into my coinbase or blockchain wallet, then find out my acct get hacked.  I do know that for blockchain or coinbase u have to remember your password... is that right?  But even if you do, how does the acct get hacked then?

Yes setting up a cold storage (paper wallet, offline wallet, hardware wallet, etc) will provide you the highest security against hacking.

Using blockchain.info wallet (or any other wallets that you are the only one having your private keys) is okay, but you should:
- Never download any suspicious files
- Never click any suspicious links or phishing links
- Never store your password as plaintext on dropbox, gmail etc
- Enable 2FA whenever possible
- Use a long and complicated password that has never been used on any other sites
132  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin ticker widget on: November 27, 2014, 05:50:37 AM
I finally ported my data to my repaired now find 7 and installed bitcoin widget 1.6.2. It includes btc-china and the data includes missing entries. Did you make a newer version for androids above 4.3? Because i cant update it in google playstore.

Its not so important since i now know that btc-china is the reason for the missing data. Wink

I'm not sure what you're referring to since there are 2 tickers - one for WordPress and one for Android mobile phones. This post refers to Wordpress installations and currently has version 2.0.4 updated. Here's the latest version - I may have not updated it on my site and that's why you're seeing an older version.

The plugin description isn't very consistent. The first line mentioned you have data from 5 exchanges while the second line mentioned you have data from 4 exchanges. Also, bitcoin average isn't really an exchange.
133  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Whats the best cloud mining site? on: November 27, 2014, 05:43:08 AM
CoIntellect.com ~ Probably a ponzi, but I think if you get in now and pull out ASAP you'll get some profit.

ROI = ~9 days.

Maybe this is not ponzi.. That can be something worse.. Did you read this article?

http://cointelegraph.com/news/112424/is-cointellect-a-scam

A 9-day ROI is way too good to be true for mining, no matter what coins and hardware you are mining with.

BTW, the comment section there is full of referral link spams lol.
134  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Help on: November 27, 2014, 05:13:00 AM
Collecting $30 from faucets will take you months.
Joining a sig campaign will also take you months to accumulate $30 considering the low pay rate for newbies.

Since you are able provide to several services, that is the only viable option IMO. Don't forget to include your portfolio of previous works and/or your qualifications to make it more attractive to potential customers.
135  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Question : many transactions? on: November 27, 2014, 04:55:10 AM
someone told me that after 100 transactions start trouble with sync. Is it true?

No.  It is not true.

If you are using the Bitcoin Core wallet, then you should create a new backup of the wallet before you have performed 100 transactions since your previous backup.  This is not because of any "trouble with sync". It is because the wallet pre-generates the next 100 private keys that it will use and it uses a new private key with each transaction sent.

That was about MultiBit..
So if i'm using  MultiBit - i should to do something now before 100 tx or i should to wait when i reach 100 and then do something? But in I write "something" because in MultiBit i can not find backup option - i just copy all from %appdata% MultiBit ..

I haven't used Multibit myself, but AFAIK, Multibit doesn't use a keypool at all and it doesn't use a new change address (it simply uses one of the input address to receive the change).
136  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you think 1.00 BTC will worth more than $10,000.00 USD at any time in 2015? on: November 27, 2014, 04:48:11 AM
I believe the price will go above $10k someday in a few years, but not in 2015. Of course it is just my wild guess. Smiley
137  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Open paper wallet on: November 27, 2014, 04:44:31 AM
yes that's what i mean, is blockchain safe for that?

Your private keys are encrypted in your browser before uploading to blockchain.info server, so it is safe as long as your computer isn't compromised.
138  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Found a useful exploit on a gambling site on: November 27, 2014, 04:24:02 AM
Ill be doubling peoples BTC usin it but, Idk if i want to do this for a long time without eventually telling the Owners, Staff etc. What should i do here in your opinion?

You don't want to report the exploit to the site and you don't want to double your own bitcoin. Instead, you are going to double others' bitcoin lol?
139  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Introduction : Hi people! on: November 27, 2014, 03:56:18 AM
Can anyone explain me how does the activity thing goes ?
 I don't get ir Sad
I don't get it as well. I think it goes up every 2 week or something.

See this thread here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=178608.0

And if you are interested in the start of the coming 2-week periods, you can refer to https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=582736.0.
140  Other / Meta / Re: Activity & new membergroup limits on: November 27, 2014, 03:52:30 AM
You do only need to post once. It takes up to an hour to update so have you waited for that?

That's not true.  I have another new account and for a few months I have posted just once every 2 weeks and I only received 1 activity point instead of the 14 points everyone is saying you should receive.

So you have to post 14 posts to get the maximum 14 activity points.

Correct.  I have posted once every 2 weeks for months and my activity is only 10.

I wish at least staff members would know the rules.

As long as you post once in the period, you will have your "time" increased.

For iXcoin Foundation, you didn't get 14 activity points every 2 weeks because your current activity is limited by your post count rather than your "time".

For Vlad2Vlad, since your current activity is limited by your "time" rather than your post count, making just 1 post every 2 weeks will give you 14 activity points every time.

The activity number is determined in this way:
time = number of two-week periods in which you've posted since your registration
activity = min(time * 14, posts)

Activity is updated every hour.
